I shot one of those last weekend. Nice gun. Here's phase one of my project. RRA lower and a Double Star M4 upper with 16" HBAR barrel.

Good post and advice JWinT. The nerd in me really liked the chart. I"m probably gonna use mine as fun shooter and a SHTF hedge. They're fun to shoot and maybe get in in a little coyote practice. Anybody have opinions on BCM uppers. M4C doesn't totally trash them so they must be adequate, lol.

I own a P250C. Nice gun. The DAo trigger isn't for everyone, but I have to say mine is as smooth as can be. A great trigger for staging your shot. I carry mine quite a bit. About the size of a G19 in a Sig sort of way. As for the caliber swap, first they're hard to find and second they don't seem to be any great deal. I will say that since you can pull the fire control out it is a breeze to get everything good and clean.

I'm only thinking about scrounging ammo in the event...every thing else is a luxury.

Yes you need one. Everyone needs a weapon in 3 calibers as a hedge against the future. 9mm, .40, and 556/223. And, it's a fun shoot.

I'm looking for a deal or some recommendations for a scope for an M4. I like the red dot thing. Since I'm paying for the M4, price is a consideration. Thanks

Went to the range and put some 9 and .40 through some targets, and then had some fun with a nice little M4. Came back, drank some beer, and cleaned some guns. Amen.

I've had good luck with Tool Logic and cary an SL1 every day.
