  1. I'm standing in line at the grocery store today behind 2 350 pound women. Each has a buggy holding about 12 cases of soda. They're checking out and the cashier comments on the quantity of drinks they're buying. As they hand over their EBT cards one comments that they're gonna need them because they're camping out at Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend. WTF!!!!!!!!!! Excuse me but I have to go shoot at something. I quit for the day.
  2. I'm just thinking that the man that can cook up a batch of alcohol controls a valuable commodity if the SHTF. We humans like a buzz.
  3. Some wines age well. But not the grocery store variety. Unopened liquors will keep for some years. Instead of hording a lot of alcohol why don't you put together a way to make your own.
  4. I never pick up brass in a lane where someone is shooting unless invited to do so.
  5. Ouch. Jello tomorrow.
  6. What's lunch?
  7. Not in Kingsport or Bristol.
  8. My experience is that any violation of our right to carry is unintentional. I was a voting official in my county for about 15 years and what I saw was that it's difficult to find really good polling places. I dislike schools due to the perceived danger of having lots of traffic in and out of the building which is a possible threat these days, but in many precincts there's no other option. Here in Sullivan County the Election officers have been moving away from schools. This year early voting was at the NG armory here in Bristol and my polling place was moved to a city owned community center. I'm in favor of centralized voting places open for longer periods. No employer gives their employees time off to vote anymore.
  9. No actually these bullets are wax lubed in the box and from 2 different sources. I'm not ready to get into casting just yet. The problem is that the amount of wax is excessive. I was just wondering if there's an easier way to clean them up other than one bullet at a time. 2500 will take a while.
  10. I'm working on reloading .45acp. Everything is good except the lead 200gr SWC bullets have so much wax lube that after seating I'm having a problem with the bullet chambering. I can manually clean the loaded round and no problems. Anybody have a trick to work around this problem?
  11. Life is too short to eat cheap ice cream or drink cheap liquor. And never buy a bottle of wine that has the picture of a smiling animal on the label. Having said that, I have a particular sentimental fondness for Jim Beam.
  12. Author Matt Bracken is giving his first book "Enemies, Foreign and Domestic" away for free today on Amazon. Enemies, Foreign and Domestic

    Ruger SR1911?

The guy at my LGS hooked up with the Ruger folks at the Shot Show. He tells me they are currntly making 50 guns a day and they hope to increase that to 100 per day. So it might be awhile before ther's a good supply.
  14. So I finally got around to picking up another bottle of the Bowman Brothers, This time I bought the single barrel. This one comes in at 100 proof. It's a much bigger bourbon than the small batch. This one will probably become one I keep around.
  15. Yes this is how they dodge the DNC list. Robocalls are not handled the same as telemarketing calls.
  16. What Collusion does is map the links when you go to a website and shows the various sites that track your visit to that site.
  17. If you've ever wondered just who is tracking your movements on the web, dl the add-on Collusion.
  18. I agree with the last comment. I too am against unregistered roosters.
  19. Welcome to the club. If you belong to a range pick up all the brass you can.
  20. Maybe we could signup TGO as a club. You'd have to be a benefactor perhaps?
  21. Great way to drum up business. And if you say it often enough it comes true. Gun folks can be sheep too.
  22. Yeah it's a real treat when a primer pops off in one of those presses.
  23. Same here.
