  I'm not so sure about that. While it's a little trouble to clean, package and ship, I sold enough brass the last couple of years to fund purchases of powder, primers, and bullets. Of course I had been picking up brass for a few years. Just seems like a waste to leave it on the ground.

That is exactly my experience with them too. I have never paid for parts no matter how hard I tried. IMHO their customer service is second to none.

I load in a converted garage building. It's air conditioned. However I keep powder, primers, and loaded ammo in milspec ammo cans. Everything stays nice and dry.

I'd start with the minimum load for a 225 gr jacketed. You should load one and make sure it chambers adequately.

Most of the lowers are multi cal. Just means it's cool with either .223 or 5.56. Look for an upper chambered for 5.56 and you're good to go. The 223 will cycle just fine through it.
