Nixon's tenure and downfall sorely damaged the power of the presidency. It really wasn't until W, under the direction of Cheney and the impetus of 9/11, that the power of the presidency became dominant again. Then we got BHO who's totally disabusing the power and we have a week legislative branch at this time...sooo. Look what we've got. Screwed.

Congrats. I've recently been doing some research on alternative caliber 1911's. I picked up a Taurus 1911 9mm and it got me curious about what's out there. From what I see the 10mm and ,40 are pretty scarce.   I'll be interested in hearing more about this.

The chat on this seems to be small town/county sheriff appropriates resources in  a way typical of rural counties, then pisses off the wrong group who proceed to make his life interesting . The jury pool sides with the sheriff on more than one occasion, at least enough to stop a conviction. Seems to be fairly typical political BS.  Unicoi's population is just a tad over 18,000 with 2 small towns. Limited gene pool.

I had a G19 once and just could not get used to the trigger at all. It always shot to the left for me.
