I bought one of these retro Bodum 1950's vacuum pots just for fun. It probably makes the best cup of drip coffee I've had.

New Harvest Coffee. I've sourced coffee for years and these guys are one of the best. I only buy 10 pounds at a time and when it arrives i separate it into 1.5lb packages and Food Saver it and put it in the freezer. It will stay "fresh" for about 90 days before it begins to lose it's edge.

I quit smoking 28 years ago and there are still mornings that I crave a smoke with my first cup of coffee. The difference is that it's no longer important to me.

Speaking of which I went to a called City Council meeting today wearing my Sig in a belt holster. City Council recently rescinded legislation prohibiting weapons at city parks and this meeting was at one of the recreational areas. The police chief walked up to me and said "I bet you only came today because you could carry." I said yes and we had a good laugh.

Initially this opens the door for small local craft breweries. Many of the small "craft" beer are high gravity. We've already granted a license for a new brewery here in Bristol. If you're a beer drinker it's a good thing.
