First of all remember that a tax assessment is not an appraisal. The assessment process is typically done by what's referred to as "mass appraisal". In some cases the value rendered can be remarkably accurate. However in the case of land I don't think so. Too many factors. I recommend having it appraised by a certified appraiser if you want the supported value.

I carry one occasionally. Just depends on where I'm gonna be.

Also if you do happen to wind up with "ringing" in the ear after a good amount of time try bioflavonoids. They help. I spent the late 60's and 70's at every rock concert I could get to, always down front.
