My only advice is that if you really do engrave, don't do it at a trophy shop even if they have a rotary engraver. Send it or take it to someone who does work on guns. Your finish will thank you.

Echo the Frankengun. It's what I did for my first AR15 and it helped me really understand the rifle and what works / doesn't work. I think you can build a higher quality gun for the same $$$ than buying one off the shelf.

What do you guys think of that axis lock on the benchmade? Is it as stong as a good quality lock liner?

I read today about the big AVG crash on Windows 7 x64 systems. I've had a lot of success with Avast or Symantec.

I read a news article that it was confirmed to be a passenger jet. I think a civilian figured it out by watching at the same time on another night for a similar trail.

Hey everyone, Just got my AR-15 complete and want to take a 2 or 3 day defensive or tactical carbine / rifle course. I know of tactical response outside of Nashville, but that's over 5 1/2 hours away from the Tri-Cities. Anyone have any other training suggestions that might be closer to me in TN, VA, NC, SC, KY, GA? Thanks
