M855/SS109 5.56 Ban!!! AKA Green Tip
Tedro2022 replied to mcordell's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I'm not convinced that they would drop it. There's a reason why it was brought up after all this time and that's because the Pres is pushing for it as part of his agenda. Holder and Obama are trying to limit every possible avenue of our rights that they can. If they can't ban guns, they'll go after ammo. Start with 855 and go from there. Power hasn't gone out here, heat runs on natural gas anyway. Leaves me longing for the days when we had a fireplace in our house when I was growing up. The next house will have one. Back to today, got plenty of Captain Morgan, and a jar of shine in the fridge if I run out (or maybe after this glass). Payday is Friday so I'll stock back up on beer and booze. Have plenty of food in the house for the next week, could make it for two if we rationed it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

"The statute does contain specific defenses for military or law-enforcement use, for use related to a lawful industrial or commercial enterprise, for dramatic performances and scientific research, and for display at museums." I believe the key words in this paragraph are "scientific research." That's what I do when I go to the shooting range, scientific research! :) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

If you get the membership paperwork filled out and mailed to them with your dues in advance you can pick up your badge, do your safety orientation, and then shoot the same day. If you drive down and do paper work while you're there, you'll have to wait for your background check to go through. Great place to shoot though. I almost made a trip down this morning. Yeah, I can already hear myself yelling "PEYTON!!!" at the top of my lungs to get them in the house to go to bed and how crazy/redneck my neighbors are going to think I am. Funny thing is, I don't really care what they're gonna think!!! Ha ha! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wife's birthday is Saturday... Restaurant suggestions?

If you guys are ever In the mood for the best steak you've ever had in your life, head over to Kayne Prime. It ain't cheap, but for a special occasion, it's the best in town (and probably one of the best in the nation). Try the progression of wagu. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I'm a Colorado kid, thus a Denver Broncos fan. She's named after Champ Bailey, the best corner to ever play the game. There will be more Bronco names as more puppies come into the family: Elway, (Tom) Jackson, (Steve) Atwater, etc. If Peyton can pull out a Super Bowl victory while wearing a Broncos uniform he'll get the honor of having a dog of mine being named after him too. :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi, I'm Tedro2022 and I'm a dog-aholic. Love the critters, and everyone here has beautiful kids. Think I've shared mine before, but I'll do it again and give some background on them (best that I can): That guy right there? His name is Sarge. There's a little border collie and a little German Shepard mixed in with some other mutt juice with this guy. He was adopted by my wife before we got married a few years ago. She got him on Craigslist. The folks she got him from didn't care for him much and probably abused him a little as well. He's scared to death of loud noises, new people and the dark. Kid's really come a long way and once he warms up to you, you can't stop petting him (because he won't let you). He also comes running to the closet every morning after I put my pants on to sniff them, I've dubbed him my official pants inspector. This is Bailey, she's my pit bull/boxer mix. Bailey's coming up on being 10 years old this year. A former coworker rescued her off the side of the road where someone tied her up to a speed limit sign and left her. Took a few weeks but I went over to meet her she turned the corner from the top of the stairs at the house she was staying, ran down put her butt down and leaned into my leg while looking up at me with a "are you my new daddy?" look on her face. We've had a lot of fun over the years, and she's probably saved my life on more than one occasion. It'll be hell for me when she goes, but we won't go any further with that nonsense. She's a great watch dog around the house, especially when we're not home. Doesn't get along with all other dogs, but I watch her and keep her out of trouble. She's smart as a whip and knows not to trust anybody until I shake their hand. Not sure where she picked that up, but that wasn't my doing. Here's a couple more of them together, they like to snuggle: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I never said they weren't a aggressive, they were intended to be an aggressive breed when original bred. It's unfortunate. What I'd call for is something that's all too uncommon these days. Use common sense when choosing a pet. A pit bull might not be for you or your family. I'm not advocating that there should be one in every home. Just like I don't think there should be a firearm in every home. Not everyone can be a responsible owner. Today's society has proven that we have a population who, in large part, have to be told what they can and can't have. Don't leave my 18 month old unattended on the floor in a room alone with my pet dog? Oh, the horror of having to figure that out without somebody telling me. Have a loaded firearm in an accessible location in a room full of kids that's unattended? Why should somebody have to tell you to lock your guns up from curious minds? Leave your 2 year old wandering around on the deck right next to the uncovered pool while you run inside to answer the ringing phone? Why do people really need to be reminded of these dangers? Society today is too dependent on other people telling/reminding/legislating safety into their lives. Use your brain folks, that's all I'm trying to get across. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Been following this thread and biting my tongue about some of the very ignorant comments about pit bulls, but at this point I guess I'll just throw this out there: most of you are acting like a bunch of liberal sissies that take what the media throws out there and it's suddenly the truth. Hypocrites. Dogs are animals. Some are more aggressive than others. Training goes a long way in their tendencies but it can't eliminate all bad behavior. There are probably as many responsible pit bull owners in this country as there are responsible gun owners. Accidents still happen to those responsible owners (both sets of them). You want to legislate my pit bull away from me? You can have her when you're heading over to pick up my firearms too. None of my family is leaving with any badge because you folks don't feel like I'm a responsible owner. You still want to say that we need breed legislation? I say we need procreation legislation, suddenly I don't think that some of your kids are safe to be in society because I heard on the news that Little Johnny mooned a shop owner on Main St. Where's the slippery slope end folks? I'd challenge all of you who don't like pit bulls for whatever reason to go volunteer at a shelter and get to know a few. You might just be surprised at how good the majority of them are. As far as the comment about them being gassed away, may God have mercy on your heart, Sir. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Calif judge tells Lowes quit playin w my wood
Tedro2022 replied to Dustbuster's topic in General Chat
Here's a list of things that should happen next... 1. Every Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, True Value, & mom and pops hardware stores in California should join in a counter suit. 2. Lowes should issue a public statement to let it be known the state of Kalifornia has become an unfriendly retail environment and they will close all stores, immediately. 3. California falls off into the ocean/becomes it's own separate communist state. Unfortunately none of those things will happen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Not trying to change topic but Can we use this against Mothers against Guns' (or whatever it is) campaign aimed at Kroger somehow?
Sure, but that would take somebody in the liberal media to put two and two together and come out with a headline that read something like "Unarmed male beaten by teens" and then make mention of the push by MAG to have all Kroger properties be gun free. It simply won't happen because media wouldn't want to give our side of the argument any credibility. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

We can deal with that, but everybody who posted previously was dealing with it incorrectly according to you. So tell us, how do we deal with a mob of black kids beating up whites, blacks, and whoever else they may have come across? We've all watched the same videos as you have and all seen the black kids beating up a white man just outside of the Kroger doors. We've all watched the same videos as you and seen the mob running and counted more black kids in the mob than white kids. I'm not going to be so naive as to say there were no white kids taking part in the "mob mentality" but is it coincidental that they were all black? Is it coincidental that they attacked two white people out of three, and the third black man they attacked was helping one of the first victims? Please, tell me how this isn't racism. Tell me how they are just misguided kids that have too much time on their hands and their dads weren't around to teach them any better. Where I come from, ignorance is no excuse. Not knowing any better is ignorance, Sir. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'd argue that that's not a landscaping issue, but if the rent is fair I can see where you're coming from.

If you're in a rental your land lord should be taking care of that, no?
