1. Had my 229R for a little over a year already. Absolutely, hands down, the best handgun I have ever owned. I carried it for a while and then went thru a phase where I had to have an H&K USP compact, so I got one. No where near as accurate and I think I prefer the extra weight while carrying my Sig. Always carry with one in the pipe and decocked. Why waste time racking the slide when you can just draw, aim, trigger pull? Makes no sense to me, but to each his own. You really can't go wrong with any Sig, they're all built to be very dependable and very accurate. WELL built at that. And no, I'm not on their payroll, but it'd be nice if I were! 2. Will now probably look into ordering one for my Sig 229. Thank you, Sir Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
3. Hopefully I never have to give that statement, but if I do I've already run thru it once or twice in my head. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
4. Which is what I was getting at. If their gonna shoot at her (she's always on her leash, right by my side, anytime we're out of my house) then they're taking a shot at me also. At that point I'm afraid for my life because they've already shot in my direction. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
5. Officer friend of mine advised me that my HCP covered me and I was unable to use my pistol to defend my dog (we walk about 3 to 5 miles a day thru our residential neighborhood). That being said, if someone took a shot at her I'd have no problem shooting back. Taking a shot at her would essentially be taking a shot at me. If someone tried to steal her, well best of luck to them. Don't know too many folks that would try to mess with a 65 lb pit bull Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
6. Maybe it's just me, but is a a Barrett 50 cal out of the question? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
7. As a Bronco fan, I'll chime in on the Denver/Tebow situation... 1. I didn't like the pick when McDummy drafted him, still don't. We had too many other needs in the draft that we could have sured up with that pick. 2. He's on our team, and like it or not he probably gives us the best chance to win any given game. Kid's gotta cut his teeth sometime, and a year on the bench doesn't do s**t. I can spend a year on an NFL sideline holding a clipboard, etc. and not do better than what Tebow's doing. 3. Any O-line that has 8 or 9 guys in the box ain't gonna hold up for long. Doesn't take a math-magician to figure that out. What Denver & Tebow need is time to gel as a team. Due to the shortened preseason and coaching change we got bent over pretty hard on this season (actually not a fitting use of the analogy as Barrel Man passed away this off season, RIP Sir). This year is pretty much a "gather experience and build on it for next year" for us. Sucks too, since we have some really talented players who are getting on up there in football years and may not have many left in the league. True fans stick by their teams thru thick and thin, and I'll bleed Orange and Blue til the day I die, just tough to sit and watch some mistakes made by a kid (F%*@ that McDaniel's *#&hole) who gets a chance to really do something great and trashes it because he's got no pride in what he's doing, let alone himself. As far as UT and Derek Dooley go, the guy should get one more season, if he doesn't produce next year, as an AD, you sit him down and tell him "Look all the guys in the program this year are yours, if you can't make something of it I'll be interviewing candidates for your position before the season is over. Get your staff together and dig deep if you want to coach here again next year, son." Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
8. Well alright then! Sign me up!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
9. So, with all the washing of hair in blood talk that's going on, i have one question: What happens if you're bald, like me? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
10. wcsc12, let me know how you like that Advanced holster. Been debating getting into one as I also have a Crossbreed Super Tuck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
11. I had mine done in college. They put the gas on me to knock me out and right before I went under I looked at the nurse and said "You're f_ckin hot!" Next thing I know, I'm waking up in recovery and she's smiling at me. She was nowhere near hot. Went home got a couple hours of sleep, and then my boss called me into work. I was pretty useless after I got there, but that was his fault not mine. Ha ha! The next day I was as back to normal as one could be, with swollen cheeks packed full of gauze. You'll be fine! 12.

The so called "middle" is a place for people who don't know what they believe or why they believe it.

Quite frankly, the middle is a place for those that are open minded enough to be able to see both sides. It is a place for the majority of America, and we're quite sick and tired of the political BS. You don't have to be a "left" or a "right" because neither one of those parties is going to solve America's problems on it's own. I lean more towards one than I do the other, but that doesn't make me a slave to that party by any means. I'm smart enough to know that I can read up on how each candidate has voted in the past on topics that will effect me directly and be an informed voter when I make my trip to the ballot box. For you to spout your mouth in ignorance and say that the middle is a place for those that don't know what to believe or why they believe it, well that's just sad to hear. 13. Most historians don't have a problem with sequence of events and a lot of other things in the bible. There are really only a few sticking points that they don't agree on, unfortunately (for them, not so unfortunate for the rest of us). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
14. Bert (who unashamedly believes the nonsense cover to cover) +1 to that. I'll believe it cover to cover until it's proven that it's not true and never happened. Fact of the matter is, the bible is the best selling book of all time. It is also looked at as a historically accurate record of events during those times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
15. Exodus chapter 21:12 “Anyone who strikes a person with a fatal blow is to be put to death. 13 However, if it is not done intentionally, but God lets it happen, they are to flee to a place I will designate. 14 But if anyone schemes and kills someone deliberately, that person is to be taken from my altar and put to death." Exodus 22: 2 “If a thief is caught breaking in at night and is struck a fatal blow, the defender is not guilty of bloodshed; 3 but if it happens after sunrise, the defender is guilty of bloodshed." Again, I'm no preacher, but it seems that self defense is covered. But you better be prepared to answer God on that day of judgement. My thought is, God will send for me when he's ready. Until that day, I have every responsibility to make sure that I make it to that day. Just my couple pennies worth... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
16. Don't quote me on it, I'd have to do some digging around, but I'm pretty certain there is a verse that says something along the lines of you're able to protect yourself from being killed to the point that taking another life is acceptable. That said, the commandment: "Thou shall not kill" pretty much covers not being able to walk around and just off people. I'll dig around and see what I can find. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
17. What? Zombies have gone Liberal? I had no idea. I gotta catch the news more often... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
18. I'm all for whoever gives us the best chance to win. If we end up at the bottom of the standings this year hopefully Elway will be able to make some good draft picks in the spring. Still not sure about the John Fox hire, but he's better than Josh McDummy. Oh to think where we'd be at if we still had Marshall, Hillis, Scheffler, and Cutler. They'd be under utilized in Fox's unimaginative offense, but at least we'd have a fighting chance! Glad to know I'm not the only Bronco fan on here too. Darn near got boo-ed out of the stadium last year with my jersey on... Loved every minute of it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
19. As a Denver native, and devout Bronco fan, I knew Orton wasn't the answer but cringed at the thought of it being "Tebow Time." At this point, what the hell, let the kid play. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
20. +1 to The Rolling Stones & "Paint It Black" It's pretty much my favorite song ever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
