    Sounds like what happened to my 01' F-250 (Farm Truck) the bolt that holds the shifter to the linkange came loose (very common problem after a 100k miles) easy fix w/locktight.

    Use a good pressure washer, let dry for day or 2 then use Cabolt Stain (Lowes).I've never used deck wash just Clorex Outdoor (it's alot stronger). Thanks, Newt
