I too like to test my experimental mRNA therapy on children. Especially pregnant women. "Its like ScIeNcE.... im like.... so much smarter than you kuz like....I like.....science. im a science zer...science. science science. If I keep saying science do I sound smart.... SCIENCE lol" In all seriousness you gotta do what you gotta do but I surely hope that we let this rock along a good while longer before giving it to kids and pregnant women. Whatever the conciquences a child has to live with it forever.

Thats the thing about masks, before all of this i had a conversation with someone about why you may want to always obfuscate your identity in public with a gator or a covering of some kind in the presence of heavy surveillance for your own reasons. You can throw on a gator and a baseball cap and almost only have your eyes showing and its perfectly normal in this social climate.

I really don't care what most other foreign countries think of the US in terms of policy or culture or whatever it may be. (I know in the UK they are obsessed with the US, and the irony is no one in the US thinks about them once a month). I also really don't care what other foreign countries do in and of themselves or their policies. My only interest in china is that I do believe china has a vested interest in gaining political influence in America (or has already gained). I'm not surprised china would position themselves in this way, I'm only interested in if china would put their weight behind gun control policies in the US. which I think they will (or maybe do). And again, I don't think this is surprising to anyone here I think most people here keep their ear to the ground really well.

I knew one guy (unnamed for obvious purposes) claim he wanted to..... he was jokingly reminded that his kids could always visit him in jail and he reconsidered after some more thought.

I would say nullification works one way but not the other. California can ignore federal immigration laws as they see fit because they know the Republicans will sit on their hands. If tennessee decides to do the same for firearms then the democrats will come down anyway and the Republicans will comply. You'll also hear news stories night after night about how tennessee is a hotbed of criminal activity and gun violence because they don't comply with federal law. The law is not about what is legal its about what you can get away with and I just don't think Republicans, as a political group, have proven they have the gumption to weather the attacks they would face by doing this much less make any real push back against the democrats. If you're playing football your team will not win if they take a knee everytime they get the ball. Republicans hava tendency to get a ball and a clear path and then just take a knee or at random a member of the team starts helping the other team....etc I may be wrong, this is all based on my opinion and what I've seen.

Ideally...... this man would then be laughed at all the way to the nearest coast line where he would then be placed on a comfortable sailing boat with a GPS marked for China and followed out to sea by the coastguard broadcasting their laughter on loudspeakers so that he can hear the laughter until he is officially out in international waters. Every day he can be sent a letter from "the American people" that is composed of 15 pages of "HAHA" in 11pt font with 1/2" margins on letter paper

Sig Sauer Mosquito Sport 22LR Thoughts - Trust the TGO
JunkiCosmonaut replied to Snaveba's topic in Handguns
I can attest that this little pistol is great and it runs great. You can't stop it if you tried. Shot several hundred rounds through it in one day and never had a failure. -
Yeah I'm there with you. No IDPA and no live fire practice. I've been looking into .48 caliber rubber ball training pistols made to the exact pattern of various popular handguns as maybe something to go beyond just dryfire practice for the time being. Not gonna get recoil control practice, but I dont know. Might be better than nothing.

Yeah, seems like a BBB complaint or a class action lawsuit against the company for these practices would be effective. By now anyone that shops with cheaper than diamonds is just asking to be spanked in my book. I can't see why they're even still in business at this point. I've seen companies go quicker for less.

Who needs lead (tire weights)?

That explains why I smell colors while I'm casting battery lead....... -

I would be interested in buying wheel weights. I just started casting. -
I'm aware of the various percentage of shares that various generation methods take up in the power production industry. Coal, although it does not make up the largest portion its still a close second to natural gas. If you want electric cars youre gonna have more coal plants. Neuclear is the best option. But natural gas is a close second to nuclear. Or rather I should say more coal burned at existing coal plants.
-
Off topic: This is really important when looking at electric vehicles. You produce the electricity with coal fire, you then send it to charging station, you charge a battery. Major losses at each point. In a lot of cases the internal combustion engine of the car is more efficient at producing power than the process of making it and transmitting it and storing it in a battery. I also tend to beleive that regulations outright banning internal combustion tend to negatively impact the poor the most.

Admittedly its a bad example, @papa61 pointed out the flaws to me in that point not long ago. I think a better example may be....or maybe isnt....going onto a car forum and wanting to restrict the ability of an individual to own a car that outputs over 200HP or can go over 80mph. Youre probably gonna run into some strong strong objections. Also cars aren't protected under the constitution so thats also a factor i neglect in my rough analogy. Like i said its not very good. With regard to legislation on constructing your own firearms..... the point in contention is the "80%" arms industry and if they are too easy for a person to make a firearm with. I would think it would be useful for the law to define exactly. With current context, what is "too easy" when it comes to a "80%" kit. Just get that out of the way. If the glock kits they were selling were "too easy" just go ahead, draw that line and leave people to it. But with the ATF tomorrow my pink socks could be NFA items so who knows.
