  1. Mercenary-at-law, courtroom type. For the right price, I will fix it, break it, disappear it or dig it up, whatever you need.
  2. If Hero Gear has something for me that works, not only am I going to drive down there from Franklin, I'm going to make my trip worth it for me and for them. Thanks, guys.
  3. There is no doubt they never shipped the product, they admit that. After I told them I was going to the forums to tell my brothers in arms about this experience, they sent me a document that purports to show that they have now initiated the refund on their end. The fact remains that it is ten days after I asked for the refund and I don't have my money back yet, just a lot of guff and bad attitude from them.
  4. My email to them today: I've spent hundreds of dollars at Copsplus.com. However, I won't spend another dime with your company. On May 18, 2009, I placed an order for a Galco magazine holster, order #284791. I paid online and you collected my money immediately. The next day, I got an email that gave me a link to check my order status. When I checked it, for the first time I was informed that the item was on back order. It was estimated to ship two weeks later. Two weeks later, it was delayed another week. A week later, it was delayed another two weeks. Finally, I gave up. If you cannot deliver an item I've paid for within a month, you don't deserve my money. I called to cancel on 22 June 2009. I was told it would be two or three days to refund my money. Finally, on July 2, 2009, I called again. My money has not been refunded. I was treated very rudely by two different customer service representatives who clearly could not care less that it is six weeks after I paid for something and ten days after I asked for my money to be refunded, and I have neither the product nor my money. I was rudely informed today that your company has done all it is going to do and that if I don't have my money I should talk to my bank, it is not your problem any more. Not only will I never spend another penny with your company, I am now spending my time spreading my troubles with your company on the many, many gun owner forums that I frequent. Already, my posts have been viewed several dozen times by fellow firearms enthusiasts. Your company is terrible at customer service, and I won't suffer it any longer.
  5. By statute, Davidson County Chancery Courts are where one MUST file a complaint such as this, to challenge the validity of a state law.
  6. Check the Colt website to see if yours is under recall.

Maybe it's a myth, maybe it's not, but lots of internet experts and even a few actual experts claim the 1911 platform cannot be shrunk smaller than the commander size without encountering reliability issues.
  8. I have a PM9 which I consider to be very much worth the money.
  9. Gun City: A dump. Is that old cowboy still hanging around there with his cross draw SAA revolver? Specialty Arms: A dump. No inventory. I was actually in the process of buying a gun there when the douchebag behind the counter decides to belittle me to amuse his douchebag buddies. See ya! Franklin Gun Shop: Has the luxury of selling to people who would rather pay the price than drive out of Franklin. Great inventory. I've spent money there, they know me, so maybe I don't get the "guy off the street" treatment. Guns & Leather: My only complaint about this place is that no one ever goes there, it's too crowded! Seriously, I've been in line there before the joint even opened. Good for them. Best selection of in the display 1911s in Middle Tennessee that I've seen. Uselton's: Small inventory, great range. Wanna laugh? Ask Rick who is building his $3000 "Uselton" 1911s and what parts they are using. I guarantee you will howl laughing at any of the five answers I've heard to this question posed by myself and others since they opened. Outpost: Love it. Someone sat down and thought, "A guy walks in with $1,500. How do we get it all?" Seriously, these people have exactly the right stuff: the right guns, the ammo, the belts, the holsters, the aftermarket parts, everything. I've found stuff in there I wouldn't have thought anyone would have on the shelf (Matrix holster for PM9, for example).
  10. Baddabing! You fixed it! Thanks! Okay, now what about that slide stop / grip issue I mentioned????
  11. I have a PM9. I've run FMJ and a variety of SD loads through it so far, no problems at all on any diet. It is a little snappy, but it is a 9mm in a frame only slightly larger than my Kel-Tec P3AT and significantly smaller than my G19. I have noticed a couple of things about shooting it. First, there is a very small but sharp little piece of metal that sticks out just to the left of the trigger. I feel sure it is supposed to be there, it looks like a reset spring or something to me, but I'm no armorer or gunsmith. Anyway, it pokes me sometimes on the trigger stroke. Nothing serious, just not something I see on my other pistols. Second, I have to adjust my "automatic" two hand grip to keep my thumbs from getting behind the slide release. The frame is rather small and the slide release can put a whack on you during the recoil if you have a high-handed grip on this little frame. Make no mistake, these two little issues are no big deal to me, I love the PM9. It is not a gun that I would buy to shoot a lot, it's like a lightweight j-frame: shoot it enough, carry it a lot.
  12. Wrong on premises liability, and wrong to carry, drink, then carry again. Please don't do stupid stuff that jeopardizes what so many people have worked so hard to gain for us.
  13. Kramer IWB #3. No doubt about it. I carry a G19 at 4:00 in a Kramer all the time.
  14. +1 on the Pro CDP II. I have one, too, and I love it.
  15. I keep cash in the car for just such a situation. I'd sure rather forget my wallet than my gun, though.
  16. Kimber CDP Pro II. Meets most but not all of your criteria, you buy it, she figures out it isn't exactly what she wanted, baddabing, you gotta brand new guilt free sweet piece!
  17. The term in the video, I think, was "constitutional moderates" meaning in the grand scheme of things, between anarchy and oligarchy, the whole list of American presidents is in the middle ground. All American presidents, a fortiori, have been constitutional officers in the moderate band of the spectrum between the ends.
  18. Sorry I missed it, the boys' games didn't get rained out until about 2:15. Count me in for the next one, though!
  19. If my sons' three baseball games are rained out, I'll come out and meet some of you tomorrow.
  20. Shot rounds 251-350 through my Kahr PM9 at Uselton's today. Again, no flaws. Very nice gun. I will be carrying it regularly.
