  1. I Drove up about 10AM Saturday with my friend. Saw the line around the building and went to Harvey's instead. Bought a Springfield TRP Operator. Good day.
  2. This gun runs in the mid 700s I believe. With regards to ammo, 45 Colt is very plentiful. I reload easily and cheaply, but also have a few defensive loads I've bought from the store. 45 Colt is very versatile with a long history.
  3. 45 Colt loaded as hot or mild as you want is a great caliber. Also, guns like this Taylor Runnin Iron and the Ruger Montado were made for horeseback.
  4. I don't use one on my carry gun, but my nightstand gun is a Sig X5 Legion with a Leupold Deltapoint Pro which has top access battery and shake awake. I can't get on board with carrying one of these, I carry a 1911 with night sights and bobbed grip frame. Just more comfortable for me.
  5. This is the gun I need.
  6. Let's keep this one going:
  7. This is your answer right here my friend: https://www.taylorsfirearms.com/schofield.html
  8. Finally got the Altamont grips I ordered for the new Python in. In addition to the Colt SAA I posted earlier, also have this Taylor Smokewagon Deluxe which is a hell of a gun Everyone needs some old model Single Sixes, 1956 flatgate and 1958 Gotta have a DA/SA 22 if you have a bunch of single actions
  9. This happens too often for me. Luckily I have a strict cash only policy and don't buy on credit, or I'd be in real trouble.
  10. Thanks everyone. Thorough clean and inspect, she is good to shoot. Going to take it out tomorrow and put two mags through it. Will update the post after.
  11. Hi friends, went to my favorite local gun dealer last Friday and picked up a nice Colt Mustang Pocketlite while paying for a CZ TS. Dealer has had this old 1918 Colt in his case for a long while now. Missing a lot of finish, rebarreled during WWII. Shipped to Bush Terminal in Brooklyn in July 1918 whereupon it was sent to see action in France. Very excited to own a piece of history like this! Hard to believe something 102 years old survives in a functioning condition. The things it must have seen in the last 102 years!
  12. Went to Crossroads Firearms today and bought a Smith M617. Four or so people waiting for checks to come back. I filled the form out and said to call me when it came back. He put it in and got an instant decision for me. Said others were taking a few hours.
  13. Heres a few of many!
  14. Altamont silver black. Really love them.
  15. I made a similar decision after having major issues with a Smith performance center revolver and multiple issues with new Ruger revolvers. Picked this up, upgraded the grip and it’s been flawless with my loads.
