  1. So I picked up a PSA lower on the cheap because it has a bad area of anodizing and a slightly over drilled trigger guard mounting hole. I can sand or blast the buggered up part of the anodizing, and a screw mounted trigger guard fixes the other issue. I buddy of mine has the setup to do cerakoting (he has been doing parts on an FJ40 restoration). So my plan is to Cerakote the lower and strip an upper down to coat it and it’s parts to match. My initial thought is maybe using SIG dark gray (it’s actually a Cerakote color) to coat the upper, lower, trigger guard, forward assist, ejection cover, hand guard and buffer tube. Leaving the grip, stock, barrel, and other small parts (takedown pins, safety, trigger pins, mag release, etc) black. I think the small amount of black bits would highlight the dark grey nicely. I’m curious on folks thoughts on this two tone idea. If I go down this road I will definitely post an after.
  2. I admit I confused Memorial Day with Veterans Day. Thank you to all who gave their lives in the service of protecting our Country. Giving one’s life for others is beyond heroic. But still, to all the current and former service members on the TGO, and all other current and former service members, thank you for your service to our Great Country!
  3. One observation, either the negative was flipped over, or she is a left handed shooter. The absence of a ring on the “left hand” makes me thinkthw former.
  4. Braaaaaains…….

  7. So, how was the brisket?
  8. I still have a box and 3/4 of 40S/W shot shells. There is a for-sale post on the TGO somewhere.
  9. These are not the droids you are looking for.
  10. Because they are fun to drive
  11. Does Geronimo have a musket?
  12. Up, Down, In, Out its all the same in the end
  13. Because the unvaccinated population can keep the virus in circulation. This has recently been a problem with anti-vaxxers and measles outbreaks. It has also been happening with polio in other countries. If enough of the population does not get vaccinated for a particular virus, then it can hang around and pose a threat to people who can’t have the vaccine (like the very young).
  14. You are 54 years late for the Summer of Love
  15. If he really falsified reports, and never actually did the inspections, he is damn lucky it was found and the bridge closed before someone died If that had happened, he could very well have been charged with negligent homicide.
  16. Anyone here read the Dan Brown book Inferno? Spoiler alert. A virus (as opposed to a vaccine) is ultimately released that will randomly make approximately 50% of the population sterile. A more (I suppose) humane method of population control than what Thanos did by just randomly disintegrating 50% of the population.
  17. Are there many “rounds down the pipe” ?
  18. You got out just before the hit the fan at KIF Christmas of 2008. I think h have been to every plant (and most of the dams) in the Valley in the last 12 years.
  19. Know those plants quite well (at least the CCR side of them). Not much steam pipe inspection at JSF anymore, unless it’s the CC plant.
  20. In which fossil plants were you monitoring steam lines?
  21. That’s just wrong
  22. Semi. P365XL or Shield 9 with an extended mag. And as Papa61 said, I shoot better with a semi.
  23. That’s a cool facility. We did some emissions testing from their chrome plating operation a couple years ago. It was awesome to see all the different steps in producing the fire arms. The military versions have their own area to assemble and inspect.
  24. Got my two Wednesday. They are a little low to see through easily on my AR. I ordered a .75” and a .83” picatinny riser to see which gets the height correct.
