  1. Or did you heat the drained cappings w/o washing them and that was where the 1/2 pint of honey came from?
  2. So you heated the cappings to separate them from the honey? I just let the cappings drain on a screen for about 24 hours or so. I think I got another gallon of honey from the cappings. I did pull about 54 frames.
  3. I am very curious to see what the honey I pull in a couple weeks will be like as compared to what we pulled off on June 25th
  4. This one is kind of a reverse of the other color. It is about 66% Graphite Black, 33% Tungsten. I did the upper, lower, hand guard, forward assist, dust cover, trigger guard and buffer tube nut. The difference is subtle, and harder to pick up in the photos. But the 300BLK is darker and I did not do the two-tone look with the small parts. i wish we could upload higher res photos, but I suppose that would quickly fill up Dave’s server.
  5. The new one and the two side by side.
  6. I did just finish my 300BLk build and coating today. I suppose I should post some photos
  7. Warhuntusa All Aluminum 6061 T6 M... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KRQ65PQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share i needed something that was held in place with screws because of the messed up machining of the trigger mount hole. It was cheap on Amazon
  8. Shoots nice. I just need to get to a longer range to sight it in better than on a 25 yard range. Plinking the 22LR from it is also fun.
  9. Same gun.
  10. Optics Planet might be slow, but I have also had good luck ordering some parts. Just know that if it is not on stock it might take months. Midway, Primary Arms, Brownell’s, and Natchez Shooter’s Supply all have been better on getting the items to you quickly.
  11. But you can try to beat it out with a 2x4
  12. Then once more for good measure.
  13. That was funny?
  14. I suppose one scenario could be that just as you leave a cold building and go out into a hot humid exterior, you are attacked and need to draw your weapon. In that case you may have a fogged lens. But you are probably more likely to need your weapon to defend yourself or others in a situation where your optic has already had time to acclimate to the temp/humidity.
  15. My 16 yo daughter was not amused.
  16. He may not have instigated the situation, but he sure responded poorly. Even if she started it and then got out to film and spin the story her way, she got what she wanted when he f-ed up and brandished his pistol.
  17. Oh for the Glory Days….
  18. Or if you do, smile
  19. True. But he should not have displayed the weapon unless he truly feared for his life. He could have kept it just below the window. I think it is pretty obvious he was trying to be intimidating. Does castle doctrine extend to out of state folks?
  20. The bottom one was my first, picked up in March last year. The second was in February this year.
  21. My two from GT. Waiting to beat all of you guys to the next sweet Bowie.
  22. For the price of the Taurus, Optic and Glock 19, you could have been into a P365XL with a nice optic. However I might be biased as I like SIGs and don’t really like Glocks.
  23. PW Arms imported my Italian Police turn in 92S. Sweet looking rifle.
  24. I do worry about uninformed or uneducated folks deciding to use deadly force to protect their property. It seems like that is/was often depicted on TV and in movies. Someone is stealing a car or some other piece of property and the owner pulls their gun to stop them or shoot at them. IRL (at least in Tennessee) someone is going to jail, and it is not just going to be the thief.
