Issues with new suppressor and gun
Snaveba replied to Cevans's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Those are expensive trips to the range at today’s ammo prices. -
I just saw this. Sounds like all the prayers have helped (and I do believe they do). That said, you both are in my prayers tonight. I pray your wife continues to heal and you both are well. DJTC45 - I pray you heal and pray for you to have continued strength to fight this.

That came out wrong on my part. I meant $30 worth of honey (3lbs) to make a gallon of mead.
-
Is Mead really so good as to spend $30 per gallon on honey to make it? Now, if you have your own bees, then the honey is much less of a cost (other than the time and effort spent tending hives, extracting honey, etc). Does good mead cost >$30 per gallon?

That’s a good idea. Purists say don’t take it above about 110 deg or you may destroy the natural enzymes. I have a design for a “hot box” that uses a light bulb to heat the box. I will try the oven trick and monitor the temp.

Ain’t that the truth

All honey will likely crystallize eventually. It is a super saturated sugar solution. The higher glucose to fructose ratio lends itself to crystallize more quickly. You can put it in a hot water bath (100-110 deg) and it should. liquify. If it has not been sealed really well and the water in the honey has been allowed to evaporate it may crystallize more quickly.

Pulled the last of my honey frames on Wednesday. Got another 72ish lbs (6 gal). This honey is darker with less of a floral tone, more “full bodied”.

This world..... is gonna turn me into a prepper

According to my wife, I am turning into a “grumpy old man”. I agree my patience with stupid people is less than it used to be and I let the “little things” get to me too quickly.

I can’t say I agree with all of Phil’s opinions, or for that matter the opinions of a % of the TGO (or the world), but I am also not an A$$ (although my wife might disagree at times). If someone doesn’t agree with me, or if I think their stance on a subject is wrong, that’s just life. In MY world, It’s not my place to: a) Tell you you are wrong because I think you are (and be a about it), b) Get mad at you for not agreeing with me, c) “Convert” you to my opinion However, if someone wants to have a rational discussion on the subject, and the result is one of use changing our mind on the subject, that’s fine.

Gives a new meaning to “3-round burst”

I try to put a few rounds of .223 or 5.56 down the pipe when I am done to clean out the gas system.

My only experience with the Canadian Healthcare System (HCS) is looking at workplace injury statistics for my company (we are based in Canada). When looking at the types of OSHA Recordable Injuries, it seems to me that many of the injuries in Canada are fairly minor, but the HCS is quick to prescribe meds and/or time off work, both of which will make a relatively minor injury an OSHA recordable one. In the States, the recordable injuries usually require stitches, or an x-ray, etc. and are more serious. It might just be me, but I get the impression that it is easy to get meds and a “vacation” day in the Canadian HCS.

If he offers, I can’t see it hurting to accept the help. as to snatching it, you four also attach a line in the middle, where the top of the “arch” is and try pulling there which might have a rotational effect on the joint at the tree. I agree if looks like quite the big branch. for scale, how high off the ground is the joint where the branch connects to the tree?
-
Put a snatch strap around the end near the ground (or a winch cable ) and pull perpendicular to the direction it is pointing. As long as that branch is, (with the damage from the partial break) the leverage at the trunk might be enough to rip it off.

El Tapatio #2 near Allied Drive and Nolensville road (actual sit down restaurant) is also really good. My co-workers swear about the tacos, but I always get the grilled chicken (from the grill out at the street) it freaking rocks.
-
Also, years (and years) ago (mid 90’s) we did a project in New Braunfels, TX at the Symons Corp facility. Every morning a local would stop by to sell breakfast burritos and sodas out of a cooler in their trunk. You could get two burritos and a soda for about $2. Darn good eating.
-
If you are in Nashville, there are numerous along Nolensville Pike. Also there is at really good one at the service station across from the Walgreens on 8th ave.

I can’t say if that one was this much, but on line they can be $6000+ custom pistols. I want to shoot it as well.

Are forced reset triggers actually legal and for how long?
Snaveba replied to MemphisStuck's topic in Long Guns
I want to know where binary triggers are going to land in this debate. -
That’s like $730 today.

They should just give them soft tips in the mean time.
