  1. Prayers said for your family and friend
  2. My only experience with the Canadian Healthcare System (HCS) is looking at workplace injury statistics for my company (we are based in Canada). When looking at the types of OSHA Recordable Injuries, it seems to me that many of the injuries in Canada are fairly minor, but the HCS is quick to prescribe meds and/or time off work, both of which will make a relatively minor injury an OSHA recordable one. In the States, the recordable injuries usually require stitches, or an x-ray, etc. and are more serious. It might just be me, but I get the impression that it is easy to get meds and a “vacation” day in the Canadian HCS.
  3. If he offers, I can’t see it hurting to accept the help. as to snatching it, you four also attach a line in the middle, where the top of the “arch” is and try pulling there which might have a rotational effect on the joint at the tree. I agree if looks like quite the big branch. for scale, how high off the ground is the joint where the branch connects to the tree?
  4. Put a snatch strap around the end near the ground (or a winch cable ) and pull perpendicular to the direction it is pointing. As long as that branch is, (with the damage from the partial break) the leverage at the trunk might be enough to rip it off.
  5. El Tapatio #2 near Allied Drive and Nolensville road (actual sit down restaurant) is also really good. My co-workers swear about the tacos, but I always get the grilled chicken (from the grill out at the street) it freaking rocks.
  6. Also, years (and years) ago (mid 90’s) we did a project in New Braunfels, TX at the Symons Corp facility. Every morning a local would stop by to sell breakfast burritos and sodas out of a cooler in their trunk. You could get two burritos and a soda for about $2. Darn good eating.
  7. If you are in Nashville, there are numerous along Nolensville Pike. Also there is at really good one at the service station across from the Walgreens on 8th ave.
  8. I can’t say if that one was this much, but on line they can be $6000+ custom pistols. I want to shoot it as well.
  9. I want to know where binary triggers are going to land in this debate.
  10. That’s like $730 today.
  11. They should just give them soft tips in the mean time.
  12. I think the scariest sound for an intruder is the sound of a pump shotgun racking. You don’t get that if there is already one in the chamber.
  13. I stopped by Wyatt Johnson Ford to take a quick peek yesterday. The blue one is sitting on almost 35s (315x70R17) and the burnt yellow one is on 33s (285x70xR17)
  14. Welcome back
  15. None needed, it’s all par for the course. I’m surprised the favorite hand gun thread hasn’t gone off the rails
  16. I don’t think you have enough.
  17. Like the USPS thread, we are no longer discussing the original topic.
  18. I would be curious to see the statistics for others forms of death over those years. Vehicle related, others seasonal illness related deaths (flu, etc.) and other things that might be down in 2020 due to lock-downs and social distancing, etc.
  19. I picked it up off of Gunbroker back in late 2019.
  20. I know some folks on the list don’t care for the “distressed” look on a new firearm but I think it looks sweet. I just have an ATI GI model but it shoots nice and on target. One day I hope to get a WWII 1911. Nothing fancy and perfect. Something I can shoot and not worry about it’s “vintage”.
  21. 1911. Doesn’t really matter which exact one. I just love the gun. Not always that practical to carry, does not hold many rounds, it pretty low-tech by some of today’s standards. But I have always loved the 1911. I don’t carry a 1911, and I love my P365XL/507K for that. But there is something about the 1911 that is just so….. right.
  22. There is a full size new Bronco at Wyatt Johnson Ford on Thompson Lane in Nashville. I saw it today as I passed by.
  23. Nope. From what I have read, the only way to kill a COVID Zombie is a shot to the
  24. Usually my wife tells me.
  25. But revolvers are always better than automatics
