But on the serious side, I agree with @OMCHamlin . I have definitely bought and sold many a gun. But many that I have sold were bought on a whim. There are definitely ones I will never let go. The newest purchase being one of those. I will reveal it soon.

So I promised more lever news. I picked up the Canadian Centennial from @klf493 that @221 Fireball had for sale last year. I haven’t shot it yet but I like the weight of the octagonal barrel. Some may think the commemorative editions are ugly (you know who you are) but I think it’s a pretty cool rifle A little more lever news to follow soon……

Now I just have to find primers, projectiles, and someone with the correct dies……

I got the impression from talking with Mike that his FIL liked to collect and appreciate the rifles, but was not a hunter or really a shooter.

I’m not an expert or anything, but it didn’t feel or look refinished to me.

More lever news to follow……

Here is the “Ted Williams Model 100” Winchester with the scope and an Uncle Mikes hammer extension. We will see if it really will eject ok or not once I get to the range. I think it looks pretty sweet. Also being a lefty, it’s pretty easy to go between the iron sights and the scope.

Looking to see if anyone has some .32WS ammo they are willing to let go for not a crazy amount per round.

The article indicates that the perpetrator may have been carrying a fake handgun. How would that effect (if at all) the justification as a SD shooting?

This pistol was beautiful in person. It looked flawless to my eyes.

So, I have held this Model 70 and I have to say, it is Cherry. The action felt smooth as butter. The glass was clear and in great shape. If it was for a lefty, I might have been tempted. And Mike was great to deal with. GLWS
