  1. Dang, that was faster than GT sells knives.
  2. I have to say, every time this thread pops up in my feed, in my head I hear… “who wants to have fun tonight?”
  3. Google Rolex Oyster Speedking. It a Rolex so it is worth $$. Maybe $$$$ depending upon condition.
  4. I agree. And the last shot almost seems like an afterthought or a spiteful shot. I’m sorry, but you can’t “John Wick” someone and say it was defensive.
  5. I was just re-reading this thread and everyone’s recommendations must have sunk into my subconscious. I went Henry 22LR, Rossi 92 in a pistol caliber (44mag), then Winchester model 94 in 30-30, “old school” Winchester model 4”94 in l .30-30 with the octagonal barrel, to the true Old School pre-war Winchester 94 Saddle Ring Carbine .32WS. The last one fits my original thought (except for its amazing condition) of a rifle I might have won in a poker game on the trail.
  6. It’s just not even a matchup. It’s like if Bama and Vandy were playing for the CFP
  7. Are you saying you have or had 2 boxes?
  8. If once the area between the floors is cleaner, and if there is a clear run, you might be able to open the hole on the outside of the house just enough to start feeding ridged pipe into the space, using the 2” pvc as a guide. you might even somehow finagle the 90deg onto the end. But that may have to be a hole cut in the basement ceiling. You can
  9. I’m wasn’t meaning to use PVC as the vent pipe, just to be a long vacuum attachment to get all the dust, cobwebs and lint out of the way and to see how clear the run is to the laundry room.
  10. I agree with @jpx2rk . If you have a shop vac, connect it to a 10 stick of 2” pvc and run it in from the outside. That will let you suck out a lot is the lint and such and you might see better. You might then be able to see the broom handle. Another idea, go out side at night and look through the exit vent while shining a bright flashlight down from the laundry room and see if you can see the glow.
  11. Found a good deal on some on GB. Got them for about $2.15/round. Thanks
  12. I’m thinking about saving gas
  13. These are sweet shooting. GLWS
  14. Whelp, I think someone beat you to the punch in the Model 70
  15. I agree I have a problem, and admitting the problem is the first step to recovery. I have purchased 3 lever action rifles in a week. I think that is a new record on gun purchases for me. the SRC is what I have really been wanting. The other two I think were just getting ready. LOL. But I really like them and they will be shooters. This one will get shot some, cleaned and stored. Them taken out, fondled, and put back again. , I really like how the Ted Williams turned out with the scope.
  16. I want to thank @Overseas Living for my latest purchase. I think this is quite a beautiful rifle and while I will shoot it some, I also plan to keep it and enjoy it for its timelessness. 1925 Winchester Model 94 Saddle Ring Carbine chambered in .32 WS. Quite a beautiful rifle.
  17. But on the serious side, I agree with @OMCHamlin . I have definitely bought and sold many a gun. But many that I have sold were bought on a whim. There are definitely ones I will never let go. The newest purchase being one of those. I will reveal it soon.
  18. I think if you have to ask the question, you already know the answer. LOL
  19. So I promised more lever news. I picked up the Canadian Centennial from @klf493 that @221 Fireball had for sale last year. I haven’t shot it yet but I like the weight of the octagonal barrel. Some may think the commemorative editions are ugly (you know who you are) but I think it’s a pretty cool rifle A little more lever news to follow soon……
  20. Now I just have to find primers, projectiles, and someone with the correct dies……
  21. I got the impression from talking with Mike that his FIL liked to collect and appreciate the rifles, but was not a hunter or really a shooter.
  22. I’m not an expert or anything, but it didn’t feel or look refinished to me.
