  1. Thanks Hipower. I’m gonna get one. Just trying to figure out what caliber, model, age, etc.
  2. I’m leaning towards the Model 36/336 because I want a lever with the “pistol” grip stock since I have three Winchester model 94s and a Rossi model 92. I don’t think it was ever offered on .357. The standard .30-30 I suppose it makes sense if I am sticking with a center fire (since I already have 2 and ammo is not too crazy $) . However, for some reason, part of me wants a new caliber and .35 Remington just sounds cool.
  3. So, if one was looking to add to their collection, say a Marlin 36 or 336, and currently, one has levers in calibers .30-30, .32WS, and 44mag, should said new Marlin be in an existing caliber (.30-30 or 32WS) or maybe something new like 35 Remington? Or some other pistol caliber? Thoughts?
  4. Although with all the SUVs, there are a lot of vehicles without trunks now.
  5. So, I put my gun and ammo in the trunk, as directed by the proposed law. I then lock my car and leave. Some douche smashes out my window, rifles through my car, pops the trunk (now accessible since the car is open) and steals my gun. It’s still stolen but I guess I am safe from prosecution? Something tells me all guns will be stolen from “locked trunks” in the future
  6. I put a limbsaver on my 44mag lever. I’m hoping it makes a difference.
  7. I’ll take it. PM sent
  8. Hey now, be careful with the disparaging remarks about Tab. That was the best of the diet cola. So sad they finally stopped producing it.
  9. I suppose it also depends upon what you what the 1911 to do? Are you shooting competitively, or just plinking steel? Do you need tight groups, or just want to hit the steel? I love my GI style 1911 in .45 and it shoots great. It is fairly accurate for it construction. I do wish it has a dovetail front sight. If I were to get another, it will probably be a step up to include better sights. Other than that, it’s love it for what it is.
  10. That life is not fair.
  11. I’m guessing there could have been a self-destruct. We were never going to get much in the way of parts.
  12. He says while watching a gun auction on-line.
  13. TBH, are any of us not “hungry” when we step into our LGS?
  14. That was me with lever guns the last week of last year. LOL
  15. If you have a 30-06 with a 11 mile range, I’m impressed.
  16. Complacency is one of the leading root causes of work place injuries. Workers get so used to doing a task one way. Then, either they get lazy and an incident happens, or the situation or work environment changes and they do not adapt to the new risks.
  17. Yea, some rapscallion named DJTC40
  18. It was pretty amazing how they bore out the barrel then rifle it.
  19. I watched this the other day. Pretty amazing how they built those old guns.
  20. That’s why I posted where I did.
  21. I have a Henry Model H001 Lever action for sale. While I am in the lever collection mode at the moment, I just have too many 22LR rifles at the moment. This one drew the short straw. I picked this up from Hipower back in 2021. I have the box and all. I have put maybe 100 rounds down the barrel. It's a great shooting little rifle. $350 $325 in and around Nashville. Quick price drop. I see they are new for about $350 plus tax and background.
  22. It has to be resurrected every quarter.
