  1. Very true. I will be interested to see if his guns were legally purchased or not. Lord help us if they are P-80 guns.
  2. Well they called him a neo-nazi sympathizer. The convicted seditionist leader of the Proud Boys Henry “Enrique” Tarrio is Afro-Cuban.
  3. I hope I would be able to run to danger if in that situation. I tell myself that is the plan. I agree that I would have a hard time living with myself if I did not try to stop an attack. But TBH, I don’t know what I will do in the moment. Not having a been a LEO or having a military background, I have never been in a life or death situation like that. So I hope I will act accordingly.
  4. He also might have shot the guy in the torso and saw it had no effect. It the perp was wearing level III plates, he might not even notice a 9mm hit.
  5. I worry it’s not gonna stop. The only thing between peace and anarchy is the moral compass of the citizens. Anyone at any time can perpetrate a massacre like this. Be it with a gun, a knife, a car, a bomb or a plane, it is just “will I or won’t I” decide to kill a bunch of people before I die. We are a nation living in a fear of our own making.

  7. Those are cool. Looks like a 10/22 but in a big a$$ caliber.
  8. I bet half the lawmakers in TN are on or have at one time been on one of those medications.
  9. It is my opinion that one reason the PD is now reluctant is because they have been asked to release everything. This means everything. If they release the EVERYTHING they release Information about how children were shot, personal information about the children, body cam footage of the children. I know I would not want that information out about a child I lost. also, there is I am sure lots of extraneous body cam footage not pertinent to the issues at hand. IMO, asking for the release of everything is just voyeuristic. The Nashville PD is not “hiding” things.
  10. Is this just a proposed bill that should be immediately scrapped?
  11. Well, gun ban legislation never really does make sense.
  12. I will post pics when it comes in. It has checkering, but no scroll work. It does not have a letter designation, but by the serial number it is from ‘37
  13. Will do on the Model 81 pics. I do like the .35 Remington cartridge. Also, it’s the cheaper (relatively) of the two available cartridges that the Model 81 came in (the other being 300 Savage)
  14. I will still look for a Marlin 444s as it’s “on the list”. I just need to replenish the fund.
  15. This would look good next to my 1954 Beretta Model 1935. Too bad I have spent all my money on lever-guns.
  16. That was a serious extractor.
  17. I don’t think many of us would be mad at knowing about a gun deal.
  18. Meanwhile, on a small farm in Nebraska, a farmer made a startling discovery
  19. Suddenly, a shot rang out
  20. I still like it
  21. So, does anyone else start off with a plan for a gun purchase, research, follow auctions, bid on auctions, then randomly make a 90deg turn and purchase something else? Or is it just me? I have been looking for a Marlin 444s for a while. I’ve bid on several. I even picked up a box of ammo in anticipation of acquiring one. I even had an active bid on one (thankfully I was out bid), when out of the blue, I purchased a Remington Model 81. My neck still hurts from the whiplash. I’m looking forward to cleaning it up and posting picks. I know it’s not a lever gun (my current obsession) but it is really cool. And it’s in .35 Remington.
  22. Looks like a Deluxe model. I bet if you pull the stock off, you will see a XX stamped on the tang which should denote premium walnut.
  23. I do have a “Marlin” in .35 Remington it is a Sears Model 45 which is basically a Sears Branded 336
