A hypothesis (or allegation) is false until you prove it is true, not true until you prove it false. It is not the in role science (or law) to disprove, but to prove. Just because I say it happened, does not mean it happened. I have to prove it happened.

That is a sweet long gun.

A 22LR pistol is definitely on my list and next buy. Along with a new safe. Unfortunately my 21 year old refrigerator died on Wednesday so my expendable cash just went there. A fitting end to 2020. At least it did not happen today. That would have been a ####ty way to start 2021.

I have a 15.5 year old child. So recently I have been listening to Lil Peep, Post Malone, Cuco, and similar.

Must be nice to be able to buy more guns than you can shoot.

I have no issue with striker fired pistols. For some reason (not to start any kind of debate ) , I just don't like Glock pistols.

Thanks for the replies and info. After making my post (shortly after leaving the store) I also read a bunch of negative reviews. I have handled the M&P and liked it also. I have 3 M&P pistols. I am on a Sig and Beretta kick at the moment which is why the Mosquito jumped out a me in the store. Looked good and felt good. But Looks and Feel don't make it shoot.

I am looking at getting a 22LR pistol to introduce / teach my daughter about handguns (also for plinking as ammo is too expensive at the moment). My local FFL has a used Sig Mosquito Sport for sale. I like the feel holding it and I like Sig pistols. Does anyone out there have experience with this particular handgun? Also, what are thoughts on it's retail value? Thanks, Briggs. So my small gun safe is getting too small. I am looking at getting a larger one and that got me thinking about storage of ammo. Currently the guns are locked up and the ammo is in boxes in my closet (or in magazines on the shelf). What are folks thoughts on storing it all in the same safe? I keep my guns loaded because an unloaded gun is just a heavy thing to throw at somebody. As such, I don’t see a reason not to keep it all locked in the same safe. I hear all the time about keeping ammo separate from your guns, but I don’ t have littles in the house and only I know the combo to the safe. If I keep it together in one safe then I would get something larger than I currently need for hand gun storage. So, other than keeping the ammo away from the guns to keep them in-usable, is there some other reason I am not thinking of to keep them apart.

I’m not saying Hillary would have overall been a better president over the last 3years, she has her own host of problems and may or may not have been the lesser of two evils on Election Day in 2016. However, I do think she would have approached the pandemic head on and not tried to down-play the possible threat and put out constant rosy picture at the beginning. She also would have had ALL her cabinet positions filled with people who she with whom she would have been working with for 3 years, not a constant revolving door of the “yes-men of the moment”. the Pandemic Committee would not have been disbanded last year, out imbedded CDC rep in China would have been there when the epidemic started in China and we would have had a better “head start”. Trump has said repeatedly that “no one could have seen this coming” which may be one of his biggest lies to date. Not only did his transition team go through this scenario before taking office, there were other “war games” run in the last year that directly addressed the EXACT scenario we are facing. And the Trump Administration not only ignored the recommendations but did not care about them.

The picture makes it look like he is controlling the barrel by putting his thumb through the front sight. That might get a bit warm after a few rounds.

Either the artist has never fired a rifle, or the cop is an idiot.

So what is the “multi function beer cup” they offer? Is it really a mug with picatinny rails? Or is it another “item in disguise”

That makes more sense

You can’t assume a death rate as compared to the entire population. That would mean you are assuming the number of deaths will not increase and everyone contract the virus. You can only use deaths as compared to known infected, which is 1.75 per 100. This number will change once a good antibody test is used to determine the true number of infected (after the fact) and the actual mortality percentage will be much less than 1.75% I completely agree that the actual current death percentage is likely much lower, by even as much as an order of magnitude (1.75 per 1000) However to be an order of magnitude less would mean that of the 130,000 known positive cases, there are 1.17 million undocumented cases in the us. This could be possible, but probably at this point not much more. 3% of the US population is 10.2 million.

Well ####. I love John Prine. Sadly I think he only has one lung after fighting cancer. we saw him a coupe months ago picking up a to go order from Mama Mia’s sorry you had to edit my language. I was just a bit taken aback

based on current numbers the current world wide death rate is 4.7% (which rounds to 5 deaths per hundred or 50,000 per million) The US statistical death rate is 1.75% or almost 2 per hundred. While I totally believe that there are many more folks who have been infected than are included in the current statistics, To get to a death rate of 5 per million, we would need the total world wide cases to actually be about 6.8 billion (almost the world population) I think there is easily an order of magnitude more cases in the world (6.8 million over 680,000) but that only gets the per death rate to 0.47% which is 5000 per million

My friend has Covid 19 symptoms. How can she get tested ASAP?
Snaveba replied to jgradyc's topic in General Chat
My daughter still does not have her results either. Once the results are sent to The Health Dept they should call to check. It took 3 days for them to call me. The current guidelines are to release the patient from quarantine after 7 days with out symptoms. Fever being the main symptom I believe they are using. -
Well, as an example, Tula 9mm steel case was typical 8.99 or less a box of 50. Sometimes even 7.99 per box. CTD has it currently at 11.60/box. However, the Tuesday before last (March17) when everyone was freaking out, CTD had it listed for $34/box.
