  1. You can’t assume a death rate as compared to the entire population. That would mean you are assuming the number of deaths will not increase and everyone contract the virus. You can only use deaths as compared to known infected, which is 1.75 per 100. This number will change once a good antibody test is used to determine the true number of infected (after the fact) and the actual mortality percentage will be much less than 1.75% I completely agree that the actual current death percentage is likely much lower, by even as much as an order of magnitude (1.75 per 1000) However to be an order of magnitude less would mean that of the 130,000 known positive cases, there are 1.17 million undocumented cases in the us. This could be possible, but probably at this point not much more. 3% of the US population is 10.2 million.
  2. Well ####. I love John Prine. Sadly I think he only has one lung after fighting cancer. we saw him a coupe months ago picking up a to go order from Mama Mia’s sorry you had to edit my language. I was just a bit taken aback
  3. based on current numbers the current world wide death rate is 4.7% (which rounds to 5 deaths per hundred or 50,000 per million) The US statistical death rate is 1.75% or almost 2 per hundred. While I totally believe that there are many more folks who have been infected than are included in the current statistics, To get to a death rate of 5 per million, we would need the total world wide cases to actually be about 6.8 billion (almost the world population) I think there is easily an order of magnitude more cases in the world (6.8 million over 680,000) but that only gets the per death rate to 0.47% which is 5000 per million
  4. My daughter still does not have her results either. Once the results are sent to The Health Dept they should call to check. It took 3 days for them to call me. The current guidelines are to release the patient from quarantine after 7 days with out symptoms. Fever being the main symptom I believe they are using.
  5. Well, as an example, Tula 9mm steel case was typical 8.99 or less a box of 50. Sometimes even 7.99 per box. CTD has it currently at 11.60/box. However, the Tuesday before last (March17) when everyone was freaking out, CTD had it listed for $34/box.
  6. This hangs next to my desk. Often I feel like third glass.
  7. Nice Ithaca Model 37. I have one very similar.
  8. What good are they if you can’t travel with them locked and loaded?
  9. It would have been a more impressive if all the Tommy Guns had been loaded.
  10. If it makes you fee any better, my daughter was tested on Friday morning as well and still does not have results. She was told 3 days. I spoke to someone at Vandy today and they are not telling patients 5-7 days. I hope it is not that much longer. I hope your friend continues to improve. We were definitely lucky in our household and it has been mostly mild for us. My wife is still fatigued, but not as much as she was. We all have the odd symptom of a very dulled sense of smell and taste.
  11. Because I was running low from range time. I had been holding out to get some for AuEagle but I could never work out a business trip the K-ville.
  12. Originally diagnosed asymptotically in 1999. Did the usual ABVD coarse w/radiation through Tennessee Oncology and Sara Cannon. I got the call on 9/11 that my latest CT scan showed something, did a PET and found out it reoccurred. Did high-dose chemo with an autogolous stem cell transplant at Vandy in early 2002. Been good ever since. Glad to heat you are doing well from it as well.
  13. I tried to suggest an internet ban to my 14yo daughter, did not go over well.
  14. But Trump does always try to put a “positive as he sees it” spin on things. Everything is always “the best” or “the biggest” or “under control” or “not a bad as it seems”. Anything but what is actually the reality of the situation.
  15. Trump is no coach. A coach is not worried about how he looks. A coach is concerned with making sure his team is ready for the game. That is his job.
  16. Took 79 hours to get my results. (Tested Wednesday at 17:00 and received results today at 0:37) Positive (yea). I am not totally surprised I am positive. My wife was tested Positive back on March 11. I have had even less symptoms than she did. Basically last Wednesday I cut the yard and afterward had that blah feeling you get when you know you are coming down with a cold or a mild flu. My temp was slightly elevated. With the situation of our household, I went in to the Vanderbilt Walk-in to be tested. That took 4.5 hours of waiting during which I slept in the car. By the time they called me, my temp was normal. Since Thursday morning I have felt fine. Such an odd virus that makes some Folks so sick and some barely notice (fingers crossed nothing changes for me). Demographically, I am 50 (51 this coming Saturday ) in decent health. I was treated for Hodgkins Lymphoma back in 2001-2002 but I feel I am fully immune system recovered. I hope your friend is doing well and continues to do well. Remind them to set up their Myhealthatvanderbilt account to get their results.
  17. I think we are all getting a little too worked up here. Did I inadvertently stir the pot by saying (a bit tongue in cheek) that i should sell the ammo I just bought for profit, probably. i think we all might agree that A retailer raising ammo prices by 350% (A la CTD) is a bit over the top and price gouging. But also, if folks are willing to pay exorbitant prices for ammo, that is in them regardless of if it is retail or an auction. I don’t know about all of you, but I know my anxiety levels are on a roller coaster with all the news and crap and it effects my moods.
  18. CTD asking $35 for a box of 50 Tula 9mm, is price gouging, and taking advantage of folks in a panic and don’t know better. Folks bidding up a 1000round box of 9mm to $600 is supply and demand. Is it stupid for someone to pay that much, probably.
  19. Which problem is that? The buying ammo at a decent price problem? or The wishing I had enough to sell for a huge profit problem?
  20. Hell, at that price I may just put the 1000 rounds I just bought for $220 up for sale. Now I wish I had spent $660 last sat at Natchez Shooters Supply. (Not that i had the extra $440 in my “shooting fund”)
  21. Alpha Wolves have no need for toilet paper.
  22. Ah.
  23. CTD?
  24. Well if you want to let any go for a deal, let me know. 9mm or 45acp
