  1. I like how the sweepstakes says the value of 14,000 5.56 Nato rounds is $8,500.
  2. The optimal word being “had”
  3. Academy Sports had Browning .223 Rem today $59.99 for 120 round Box.
  4. I still think the gun deal is a red herring
  5. No sniper, but I am ALWAYS armed.
  6. Why would you let complete stranger in the backseat of your car at night? Now, your drug dealer, that might happen
  7. I would not trust what IPAK puts out myself. They are anti-vaccines from what I understand. And have their own agenda
  8. If compromise is a loss, then nothing will ever get done. It will ALWAYS be us against them.
  9. Is that a nickel plated Beretta 92? Bling!
  10. Did you get the TX22 to the range? What’s your impression?
  11. What is there to stop the “thief” from just walking away, other than their ignorance of the law. If they are no longer threatening your life, you can’t claim self defense if You shoot. And you can’t shoot someone to defend your personal property. Am I forgetting something?
  12. That’s different if the threat is still there. But what I was saying was that even after having the gun on you, if the intruder has turned and left, if you then grabbed your gun and shot him, possibly in the back, you might have a hard time defending the action. You might still be scared, and still feel threatened, but in actuality the threat has at that point likely ended in the eyes of the law.
  13. I wish the hard top had the same patina. Unfortunately I kept the original hard top under my neighbors deck for about 15 years (I never put it on because the roll cage I had at the time was too tall) and it rusted badly in a few spots. Fortunately, a guy followed me home in late 2019 when I was driving the 40 and offered me a restored hard top for free. He needed the trailer it was stored on. I did not hesitate to accept the generous offer. The old hard top did find a new home on a buddies cruiser. He had just rolled his and needed a new top.
  14. As of now my baby is not for sale.
  15. 1978. I got this one in 1996.
  16. Having driven an FJ40 since I was 17 (over 30 years) I will have to say I think Toyota screwed the pooch with the FJCruiser. They had the opportunity to really put a sweet truck out there to compete with the Jeep JK Rubicon and they didn’t. The FJC is capable off road (I drove one with the Toyota Trails Team when they came to Tellico for GSMTR in 2007. But it could have been sooooo much better. Ford did it right with how they reintroduced the Bronco
  17. Yep that one got me to. The govt will never want to give public access to that database. This also makes it become a privacy issue, not just a gun registration issue. Also the part that every one has to have a psych evaluation.
  18. But going back to the original post, you are not defending your house as “property”, you are defending your life from the fear of harm that an intruder might pose to you or your family. However, if you look outside and someone is breaking into your car, or stealing your motorcycle, you can’t run out and shoot them. If the intruder has your TV and is carrying it out the door, you can’t shoot them. Even if the intruder holds a gun on you, takes your valuables, but then turns and leaves your house, you can’t shoot them. You may want to, and you might even feel threatened, but I bet you would have a hard time defending the action in court.
  19. Well I feel better now. I really like how the new Bronco looks in all the photos. Then I saw what I thought was a new Bronco and thought it looked like @ss. If that was a Bronco Sport, then there is still hope. It reminded me of a Bronco II.
  20. Something that broad and far reaching will never pass. However it does not help when yahoos like to flaunt their firearms, or threaten elected public officials, regardless of which party they represent. That only fuels the fire. This one won’t pass, but then someone else will draft a less comprehensive one, or less restrictive one. And it probably won’t pass. But eventually, if idiots continue to push, and threaten, and scare folks who are afraid of guns, one will finally pass.
  21. I also have this...
  22. What?! Sell my baby?
  23. I used to wheel a lot before my daughter was born. This was back when Tellico OHV was still open and Windrock was just mostly trails. My 40 has seen it’s fair share of abuse and breakage. You learn to wrench in the dirt pretty quickly when you were wheeling at Tellico. Summertown was another place to go. Not sure if it is still open or not. I think Windrock has some a good extreme trails now. Along with Jellico and others.
