Shield SMSc install thread (mine) I could probably be talked into selling the SMSc
-
I have a Holosun 507k on my P365XL. I also ran have Shied SMSc that I had on it before the Holosun became available. I liked both sights. The Holosun has a dot and circle reticle option.

Cars are meant to be driven, and guns are meant to be shot.

Where does it say BBQ has to be pork? I love me some pulled pork and ribs, but I will stand by my statement that it’s a cooking method, not a meat.
-
Why is brisket not BBQ? BBQ is a cooking method, not a particular meat. I hate it when someone says “I’m going to BBQ”, then they grill burgers and dogs.
-
I am done using it now. I can bring it back to your office, or work out a way to meet with AJ if it’s close.

Feeling lucky? How about a barrel full of 5.56?

My 22LR will kill you just as dead. Just not as messy.

Local suggestions needed for barrel threading
Snaveba replied to Protongunner's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
I am wondering as well. Or has anyone done it themselves. looks like you need a 1/2” annular cutter with a .223 guide rod and then a 1/2x28 die to cut the threads. -
So we have sand in the run and aspen shavings in the hen house.

We use Aspen Shavings. Even pine can off gas and bother the chickens when it is hot out.

If you want a real Memphis Original, Dyer’s Hamburgers. It moved from the original location about 20 years ago with much fanfare. Unless things have changed, they fry their burgers in grease. And they NEVER change the grease. They just add to it or the grease from the burgers keeps it replenished. When they moved the restaurant, they had a parade to move the grease from one location to the other.

Whitt’s is NOT Memphis style BBQ. It’s cr@p. I second and third Central BBQ on Central. As one of your sides, get the pork rinds. They fry them to order and they are still cracking on your plate. Sublime. If you like beef ribs, Interstate BBQ on South Third is the only place I know in Memphis to get them. Gus’s is also. Good, but it’s not Bolton’s or Prince’s. Heuy’s was always good for a burger and a beer.

I have Shield SMSc and Holosun 507K sights and like them both. Both fit well on the P365XL and in a TC Apex Elite AIWB holster, I don’t feel a difference with the sight. I also like tacos. I think my slight muffin top helps prevent imprinting. To change the subject, has anyone tried a red (or green) dot sight by ADE? They are really inexpensive. Some times that means they are a good deal, sometimes that means they are cheap. I ask as am looking for an inexpensive red dot or low power illuminated reticle scope for an AR platform.
-
Agree. I have the sight bookmarked for 9mm and they NEVER have any that is not listed as out of stock.
-
This is a “bucket list” pistol. I have always wanted one. Nice ones are not cheap.

Yes. Prayers to you and your family. My sincere condolences.

I think you have to have a HCP when anything is related to schools.

My great uncle, for whom I am named, was in the horse cavalry in the 20s-30s before WWII. He faked his age to join the Navy for WWI, then went to West Point, served in WWII and the Korean Conflict, was a career officer, and retired a full colonel.

I lived in Memphis from 1994 to 1999. As I recall, the City Government at the time was fairly corrupt with Mayor Herenton and his cronies. Has much changed?

I have not read the current bill to pass constitutional carry in Tennessee so I am not familiar with what if any stipulations there will be. I believe it the right that we all have under 2A to keep and bear arms. However, I do take a little personal comfort (maybe rightly, maybe ignorantly) that if there are folks around me who are carrying, they have had at least a some instruction in the use of a handgun and at least have been introduced to the laws regarding the legal use of said firearm to defend themselves or others. As responsible gun owners, we all understand that it is incumbent on us to train, learn, and be safe. Unfortunately there are A LOT of irresponsible people out there. With constitutional carry, any yahoo who can legally own a handgun, can carry said handgun even if they have never held one before, shot one before, or have any knowledge or understanding of the laws and regulations pertaining to its use. I think about the lady who took it upon herself to shoot at a fleeing shoplifter, hitting the store employee instead. I don’t know the laws in the state in which that occurred, but in Tennessee she committed several felonies. I’m not saying a 60min online class to get your CCP or an 8 hour class to get your ECP makes us safe. But at least it opens the door to the knowledge needed to carry a handgun responsibly.
