Spring Snows could be fun as well, those hunts are crazy and pretty much unlimited. For September you will more than likely need to head north. Most of the birds will still be in Canada at that point still, otherwise you will have teal and local birds. If you want birds in TN you will need to head west or again find some local birds which will be more difficult for sure. If you could go a bit later I would try for ND or SD in middle October and you could do ducks/geese and pheasants!

i went to SA for a hunt back in 2015 it was amazing! Handsome Rob is correct, they will try and upsell you on everything so go with a budget. I ended up with a kudu, zebra, blesbuk and a free monkey. We were suppose to go back this spring but covid messed that up. One of my buddies that I went with has been back like 6 times since then. We bow hunted over water and oranges. Ended up renting a gun from the outfitter to get my zebra which was my number 1 thing. I didnt feel like the taxidermy and shipping back to the states was that bad, I even had my kudu made into an ottoman. Its a long ass flight down there but worth it, after our hunt we flew down to Cape Town for 4 or 5 days which was also amazing. If you have any questions let me know

finally got on one this year. was able to shoot a decent bodied 3 point on public land. my first deer in TN and only my 3rd deer ever so i am happy. just a few more days left!

got 5ish inches in Johnson City...drove from Knoxville back home left Knoxville about 4:45 snow already sticking on all the roads, took almost 4 hours.

i use a program called Shot Works Pro (https://shotworkspro.com/) a guy in another forum i used to frequent made it. works well for me, you can run the whole thing off a jump drive or install it to your computer.

i almost woke up the kids laughing at this! Yes they have metal detectors at the entrance, they also look though your backpack, not very well but they do it.

new to the Tri-Cities area...anyone else excited about turkey season coming up.

Will be moving back to the great state of Tennessee in December. Originally from the Knoxville area, my job has taken me all over the place but it will be bringing me back to the Tri-Cities area December. Looking forward to being back in East TN! Since I left I started hunting so hopefully figure out some Duck hunting and Deer hunting.
