  1. Welcome!
  2. What Hardaway is doing is adding amendments that will push the restaurant association into a position where they have to come out in opposition to this bill. If there are enough lobbying groups opposed to it, then it will never make it to a full vote. This is usually one of the easiest ways to defeat a bill - by amending it to death or impotency.
  3. Thanks for the info! The wife said that if I sell either the PT945 or the P94, she might agree to a double purchase - maybe one Glock and one M&P.
  4. Don't forget the milk jugs full of water! That and the full cans of cheap cola were always the most satisfying when I first got my 22. Heck, it still makes me smile to just think about shooting a milk jug.
  5. Good choice, and very good shooting! I use a Leupold 4.5-14x50 for my 300 Win Mag, but that was purchased back when I was hunting in some pretty open land.
  6. That reminds me of the case over here a few years ago where the criminal fell through a skylight and sued the owner for their medical bills. Absolutely crazy!
  7. That's great! My wife was all about removing all firearms until I taught her to shoot. She orignally thought the same thing about my motorcycle till I took her for a ride. As an added bonus, you might find it easier to request certain Christmas and birthday presents for yourself.
  8. The Zombies won my vote. But in reality, I would probably only have a "loaded" long gun in the car for transportation purposes. I agree completely that the current definition of "loaded" seems to have been created by someone who was "loaded" in a different fashion.

    sks mags

I got one of the 30 round mags for mine, but I never put it on. Using stripper clips on the original 10 round helped make sure I didn't run through too much ammo "just shootin'". That's been known to happen a few times with my Mini-14's. As an fyi, the few friends of mine who've owned an SKS with a higher capacity magazine always swore by the polymer ones from Tapco.
  10. That is one sweet shotgun! Congrats! Ever since getting my first shotgun (Mossberg 500 w/2 barrels), I have wanted one of these.
  11. Thanks for the heads up. I am currently deciding between an M&P and a Glock (not that this plays into the decision), and it's always good to know as much as possible about the potential choices.
  12. Welcome (from another newbie!). I wish I had a brother (or sister, or parent, or friend) who bought me guns! As it is, I have to convince the wife that we really do need another one.
  13. Very nice! At first glance, I thought you had a modified paintball gun thrown in (that's a wild color for a rifle! )
  14. Wow, that is a really nice collection! Thanks for sharing!
  15. Thanks everyone for the welcomes! Musicman, actually, I'm into scuba diving. I took that photo on the Great Barrier Reef when a past employer sent me over there for a few weeks.
  16. Hi, my name's Scott (but my friends call me Tex, which is a nickname I picked up in college thanks to a guy from Massachusetts not being able to tell the difference between an East Tennessee accent and a Texas accent). I was born and raised in Knoxville, but lived in Atlanta for the last 20 years. I own a couple of handguns, a few rifles and a shotgun. I haven't done any shooting since moving back up here. In Atlanta, I would go to the local WMA's that had ranges.
