    VE Day + 64

Thanks for the reminder! We can never celebrate our veterans nor honor those who sacrificed everything enough.
  3. I don't think this has anything to do with secession. Granted, it won't necessarily change any of the federal actions. However, if things like this don't go through on a state level, then there's very little recourse when the federal government decides to erode our Constitutional rights. With something like this passed, it allows it to be challenged (or allows for a federal act to be challenged by the state) and gives the Supreme Court an opportunity to either affirm the 10th Amendment or to strike it down. Then, we'll see if it has teeth.
  4. Very nice! My wife might let me pick up another firearm if it was one of these for her.
  5. +1 We're praying for you and your family, and don't hesitate to ask any of us if you need anything.
  6. Still 70/30 at 11:10am
  7. Also Lethal Weapon. Loved the pistol/revolver back and forth. For TV shows, NCIS features some nice handguns from time to time - especially when Ziva gets to play around with them.
  8. Oh yeah, and Big Jake! When they first fire the semi-auto, that was hysterical. This one has my all-time favorite line: "You must figure I'm a real dangerous man."
  9. I can't believe no one has said Predator yet. That movie still makes me want a portable Gatlin/minigun so bad I'd sell a car to get one (and it take more money that I'd get from either one!).
  10. Who knew going green could be so much fun!!!
  11. If we're going all , picture this: Fed's call of martial law enforced by the states. TN the only state legally allowing the possession of firearms. TN becomes the most populous state. TN seceeds.....
  12. Up to 2.3 million votes and still at 96% yes.
  13. The man sack, carries all a guy needs* ** * may prove to be difficult to find in extremely cold weather ** openly carrying may prove problematic in certain circles
  14. I had a couple of something similar situations. One, I left in a night deposit box and they never pulled my check out, so I was just short that amount until I called to complain and they found the check still in the deposit envelope. The other, my wife deposited cash into an ATM, which mysteriously was short $100 at processing time. Both got resolved, but the lesson is that all deposits should be made in person - either through the drive-thru or going inside to a teller. I would talk with the Suntrust people and inform them of the Government checks and ask for their opinion as to options. The insurance one should be an easy fix. The personal one I personally wouldn't worry about for the following reason: Stop payments are typically time limited (1 year, I think). Therefore, the cost to renew the stop payment could, theoretically, go on indefitely, I would be tempted to tell Suntrust that the 4th one will not end up being more than the combined total of the stop payment fees.
  15. My old roommate has a Marlin 30AW. It's a very nice shooting rifle. I highly recommend the 336. As an aside, whenever I would shoot his, I would always think of the Duke in one of his Western's going against the bad guys.
  16. When I bought my 500 (Service Merchandise!), the main difference between it and the Maverick was the single arms on the pump versus the double arms of my 500. For that price, go for it and enjoy!
  17. WOW! 230 yards with a handgun. That is some serious shooting!
  18. Add me to the list - even though I'm not an HCP holder (though I'm going to take the class as soon as I'm back from vacation).
  19. Welcome! I grew up here, lived in Atlanta for 20 years, and am now back. It really is great here! Also, totally agree with you about debt, but also totally agree about having to sometimes take a step backward in order to have a better path ahead.
  20. Talk about some really nice shotguns! I wish I had enough cash on hand for the "budget" model! Very nice!
  21. They're ok guns, but reliability is questionable imo. My former roommate had a 12 ga. After a couple of years of light use, the assembly screw on the end of the stock broke off. It cost more to repair than to replace the gun.
  22. You could always try out your local credit union. Maybe we need to create a TGO credit union in order to finance items such as these. It reminds me of when I (when I was single) went to a bank to ask about financing a used Lotus Esprit Turbo. The guys asks me "Who makes a Lotus?"
