  1. wait a minute! isn't one of your 22rf have a 1/4 mile long barrel! :)
  2. how did you remember that?
  3. thanks, i do not always agree with the gun test mag. but unlike other shooting/gun mags they do not have make a advertiser-sponsor happy.
  4. http://www.gunreports.com/news/news/Brass-vs-Steel-Cased-Ammo-An-Epic-Torture-Test_4628-1.html?ET=gunreports:e1359:108878a:&st=email
  5. love the chart, unless you shoot the same ammo all the time, why worry about it to much. but i got a question, a few 100 years ago a lefty could not shoot from any position without having hot brass down the shirt unless they had the plastic brass deflector. i guess most M16's must have ejected at the 4:30 position. i always believe they were over gased so they would keep running for exsample in a long engagement in the dirt and mud. again great chart. i set up mine to with 223 and like the chart says the hotter the load the more forward the brass fell.
  6. yes my comp is dirty, still releaning to shoot
  7. got my open gun mounted, still have a little work to do on it.
  8. i hope to get some help, if needed (always needed) at the Pro/Am. we know alot of the shooters, owners of rockcaslte etc. when i say know it is just by name. so i know i can some help from them as i go. great people. they already know about my accident, there only concern is will i be ready in less than a year for 3 gun. i hope so the shotgun recoil on my neck is my only real worry. doc says no guns for a year.
  9. i just had a 30-06 and a 41 mag black hawk. there were a time or 2 i did feel under gunned but no issues. that was before the 35 wheelen was a commercial round but that would be a good choice for all around unless sheep or goat is on your things to do list, then something that shoots alittle flatter. this time of year bears should not be a issue have fun.
  10. thank you all for the support and well wishes! sorry to hear about your wife, if her chair has the thigh supports  or they can be added then it should not be to bad of a job. talk to Tara at blade-tech for me she was great. just a note i call my wheel chair supplier and asked how much would a extra set of thigh supports would be, he said retail $700 for the set. WOW!
  11. we have not been there in awhile but a nice little match to have some fun.
  12. if you think it is a extracter problem, unless it is a older Para it will be a PXT. be sure clean it and the parts move freely and springs are in good shape and spring sleeve is in the correct position.   not remove the pxt unless you have the owners manual as i recall the 1st time or 2 it was a bxtxh.   still believe in a lighter recoil spring with the comp.   i no longer shoot 1911 but ALL handguns are compared to the 1911.
  13. thanks, it helps keep my mind busy, if not i do get depressed plus, W helps me stay motivated about it, plus she loves the action shooting sports and i do want to see her stop because of me.
  14. with a comp, you will need full power loads and u said the gun was tight. normally if run a comp hot ammo and a lighter recoil spring. so there still enough recoil to work the gun.   if want to kept the comp, talk to some uspsa open shooters to get a set up right.
  15. thanks, no not yet. still relearning how to shoot. rebuilding my strengh can now pull the trigger ok but control sucks but on that note i am in the 3 gun nation pro/am again this year, so i hope to be on a big learning curve this summer. i have surgery on monday and will be stuck in bed for a month. a small set back.
  16.   Poor Poor Dan O
  17. all my chair controls are just above that spot. they were on the right side but had them moved to the left so i could work on pistol install. plus learning to drive with my good hand i have already damage all the door ways and corners of the house. i will check it out but as recall safriland custom made all his stuff.
  18.   thanks, "ingenuity" will come into play if can get my DAA Racer holster for my open to work on this.
  19. shootimg sports "she"?   and thanks all
  20. as some of you know, last year i broke my neck last year. i hope to continue in the action shooting sports hoping for my 1st try in May. any way Blade-Tech told me to try there TMMS and see what i thought. i already had the black ice holster and have it working nicely. still need need a idea for placing mag pouches. the first pic the female piece is mounted to the chair and the male is on the holster. and yes i have some extra weight on
  21. my mistake, i just remembered reading something about no just looking at stages after i got out of the hospital, but it was only for the cup.
  22. thanks, it great to see everyone and to just be out there at NTPS. it will april before i get another chance if all goes well.
