For any other weapon this would not be a newsworthy item. But for a Glock to do this is truly news worthy.

Well they sure don't sell it to loose money. I lived in Cookeville before liquor by the drink and we had only a few local restaurants. Pass the liquor by the drink ordnance and bam.......restaurant row. Of course back in the 70's we used to call Putnam county the wettest dry county in Tennessee........thanks Lawrence.

My brother in law just gave me a Ruger Red Label o/u 12ga. It looks beautiful, like new. He keeps very good care of his weapons. A serial # check on the Ruger website indicates a 1986 manufacture date. The barrels are fixed choke and are stamped "skeet". The last time I did any serious shotgunning was almost 20 years ago when I shot skeet with a Remington 1100. Would this Ruger be a good gun to get back into skeet/trap with? Any other info that would be useful on this gun? BTW I still own the 1100.

Congrats, are you going to the DMV today to put in your application then back to GnL to be fingerprinted? Suggest you pay by check, or if cash, keep the receipt till you get your card. Some people have claimed their apps just vanished. How long do they say the backlog is running these days? I got my HCP little over a year ago (before oboma-mania) and it was 80 day's before it came in the mail.

Based on what I saw when I took my class about a year ago you can nap through the class, then throw a handful of rocks at the target. You are going to pass. -
MP-5, now that brings back memories. It hung just right on the seat back of an MH-47.

I sometimes think we have forgotten how to eat an elephant.....one bite at a time. If all we can get is a restaurant bill with some limitations, isn't that better than nothing at all? -
Ditto on the Crossbreed Super Tuck. I have been wearing mine now for a few months with a G 19. Most comfortable IWB I own. I wear it at about 4o'clock. I am 5 11, 190 avg build. With this holster I can tuck the shirt in over it and not have to wear a vest or jacket. True this may slow down the draw, but I am comfortable with it. The website said 3 to 4 weeks for delivery. Had mine in a week. www.crossbreedholsters.com

I got to legislative plaza in Nashville about 1130. Worked my way up to where the speakers were speaking. Great message. BIG crowd. Now, we have to keep the momentum going. Just saw the channel 2 and 5 4pm news. Good coverage.

So, what does this do for those of us who drive pick up trucks? I have a quad cab, maybe if my long gun ammo is under the rear seat?

I'm sure this link is elsewhere, but just in case not here it is. Contact your Senator and make sure they know how you feel and find out how they vote. Legislators - TN General Assembly -
www.crossbreedholsters.com I have the "Super Tuck Deluxe". I love it. It is the most comfortable IWB holster I have tried out of three for my Glock 19. I have used this holster for a couple of months now. The web site says 2 to 3 weeks for delivery, took a little over a week.

What was the deciding factor on the Lee over the Dillon or RCBS? I am leaning towards the Rockchucker supreme reloading kit myself.
-
I have been bitten by the handloading bug and I'm curious if you ended up buying a kit. If so what did you buy, how do you like it, and any sage advice for another newbie. I'll just be loading 9mm for now, but hope to add .223 in the future. Thanks

I waited for almost 3 months for a used G 19 to show up at the local gun dealer. No luck, couldn't take it any more. Plopped down $569 for a brand new one with night sights. Only regret was I waited that long hoping for a used one. In the past year I have not seen a used G 19 where I shop. Best of luck.

Welcome, and thanks for all that you do.

http://www.nraila.org/media/PDFs/DLA_mcunningham.pdf Link is to NRA website. It is a memo reversing the recent decision not to sell used small arms brass to civilians. Looks like we won this one. ..... for now.

If all thats stopping you is "GF won't let me" :screwy:I suggest you either GROW a pair or return the Glock.

I am new to competitive shooting, and have only been in three matches. I would like to thank the members of Music City Tactical Shooters, and the members of the Gallatin Gun Club for taking this rookie and showing him the ropes. Everytime I participate it is fun and informative without feeling like the "old guys" are just tolerating the rookie.
