  1. 1. Reliability 2. Ergonomics 3. Carry options (holster availability) 4. Aftermarket parts availability My opinion is accuracy is on you and capacity depends on size or type of firearm you desire. Great topic discussion David.

W O W! I can not believe you typed that. Blame the theif for stealing your firearms? Really? Place the "bulk" of the blame on the theif? It is your responsibility to keep your "stuff" safe no matter what "stuff" a theif steals. If your firearms aren't locked up tight in a proper safe at home, that's all your fault if they get stolen. Stealing happens and it's not like it's it's new concept. It's your responsibility to keep any and all firearms out of anyone else's hands. If your firearms aren't properly locked up, and they get stolen and used in robberies or murders, don't blame the theif, blame yourself for being an idiot and not securing them as you should have. Little kids steal, adults steal, teenagers steal. Age doesn't matter or the type of things stolen. It ain't "the old days" anywhere anymore. It's 2021 and we were talking truck guns in this thread. Even on a farm style setting, all people who have a firearm in a truck or on a UTV or tractor when it's parked should take it back inside to safely store. Never leave a firearm unattended unless its safely and securely stored. That's gun ownership 101!! Gun ownership is a great responsibility. It's not a blame game.
  3. Sounds good. Good luck with the raffle.
  4. Zero steps forward, 2 steps back, 1 step forward, 6 steps back. Skip to the left and jab to the right help me make math seem all right. 7+3=156,789,321 Yup math is right. Biden would would agree for sure. Stupid people make stupid seem normal.

Agreed! If you can't "back pack it" it doesn't need to be left in the car. There are small-ish firearms in multiple flavors that will fit in small bags. If you feel you need to take something more than a pistol, don't leave it in the car. Suffer and pack the extra weight. This does not apply to farms or the like where you may need something for small or medium critters and you are setting fence posts or checking the perimeter or tending the fields....
  6. Forgot about that part...
  7. Kinda depends on what your adding the optic to. AR, lever gun, bolt gun etc.....what caliber helps as well... .22lr, 30-06, 5.56, 300blk etc. The primary arms optics I've had have been on par with vortex optics I have had. Bushnell has always been hit or miss for me over the years.
  8. So what did you decide to build?
  9. It's happening to appease the government and to keep them from comming after them. If its a "pay for" service vs. free then they can tell those idiots that their customers are providing proper information and aren't criminals looking to buy ghost "gats" or something like that.
  10. Not sure what you paid for it but thats pretty darn cool. Stuff like that always removes $ from my wallet. Hard to pass up on sweet displays of history. Good find for sure. Congrats..
  11. I'll second Mobile1 grease. Any brand new firearm gets cleaned and lubed with Mobile1 before the first test fire. A light thin coat goes a long way
  12. Here is an idea, 223/556 WITH a .22 conversion kit. That will appeal to way more people than just a 1 caliber rifle. May sell more tickets adding the .22 conversion kit to a 223/556 build. My personal opinion, 300blk.......
  13. No matter what I'm doing, mowing the lawn, laundry, riding the trails, fishing or working on a project in the shop, I'm concealed....and I always have some type of firearm on me.. I do it so I don't have to have discussions with anyone about my choice to carry a firearm. Not family, not cops, not Karen's or Ken's. Its not about the bad guys, its not about what's good or bad about OCing. It is about protecting my privacy and my choices.
  14. Dang.....looks like a really sweet set up. Nice shootin...
  15. Congrats on escaping. Now go live a real life.
  16. Just seeing this thread. I applaud the build. Looks sooo cool!!

Once again, no pics! Not fair to the rest of us! I love me some lever actions. Sounds like you went on a .22 cal spree as of late....

    New Gun!

No pics? Not fair! Sweet purchase. Should be a fun toy. Never seen one in person.
  19. Welcome
  20. As a kayak"er"......I can honestly say there are more choices out there that will serve the exact purposes you need/want. Don't settle Wilderness, Hobie, Old Towne, Perception,Wilderness systems, Jackson etc. All are great kayaks and all have their plus or minus. I personally have never used a Nucanoe but the others listed above I have. Everywhere from swamps in Louisiana/Mississippi to Gulf coast waters to the Mississippi River and places like the Ocoee or Beaver creek in Knoxville. I've been kayaking for over 15 years and I absolutely love it. Paddle or pedal, as long as I'm on the water and fishing, I'm happy. I get it, if you have to have a Nucanoe, good luck and I hope it serves you well but if you find something else in your price range, consider it cause you can always sell it later when you find your "precious"
  21. Welcome to TGO.
  22. Truly I'm shocked to hear that the vendor actually did what he could in hopes that he could correct the issue. Most people wouldn't, we all know that..... Glad it's all worked out.
  23. You are held to a higher moral standard as a decent and good human being. If the parents are going to be that irresponsible, then it's up to the public to contact authorities to ensure the kids see the next day. I don't drink nor have I ever if my kids are in my care. Even at home. It's irresponsible too. If some else is not drinking at the house, then it's game on. Never know when kids need an emergency room trip.
  24. Don't get me wrong, hate skunks with a passion, had to kill a few in my days......but your buddy's an idiot. His way is not humane and is considered animal abuse/torture. A humane kill is the only way, not drowning like a psychopath would.
  25. CO2 powered pellet pistol. Pick your favorite from BassPro, Academy or the like. I use my .357 pellet pistol with copperhead point pellets. Skunks, foxes, rabbits, squirls, crows etc. are easily dispatched. Proper shot placement is key for skunks. 75% of the time, they will spray no matter how you kill em....
