I'm on GlockTalk and have seen some good deals roll through from time to time on lowers and uppers. That would be the place to become a member just to be able to browse through their classifieds. Why?? Because they normally have 2 to 3 pages of stuff being sold because they have such an active roster of members. I've bought highcap G19 mags for almost dirt cheap along with other stuff that people have posted like a box of 9mm BlackTallons (qty 20) for $30 shipped to my door. Be carefull though....impulse buys can happen.

I'm 6' and around 180lbs. Medium to small sized hands. I have tattoos and guns. I'll have to say, the addiction to each is definatly different for me. Kinda like being addicted to crack and lettuce. They just don't match. The tattoo's can't save my life or convince someone not to harm me. I have my "battle guns" and I have my play toys. My "battle guns" fit and feel wonderful and are a delight to shoot. My toy are something I have to get use to shootin'.....

All right....when's the shop opening!!! :( That looks awsome. I saw the post where you stated you would do one or two for someone since you were playing around with the stuff. That really looks awsome. I'm sure you haven't heard this recently or anything but if you ever do decide to make your skills available "for sale", I have an SKS I'd love have done up so maybe I can pass it on down the family line before it rusts away.

Wow, with the popularity of Glocks in the world I figured there would be a few more responses than just these. Kinda figured most would say some type of 1911. Suprised to hear a Bersa, an FN and a few CZ were in the running as well. Interesting on how we all feel and shoot the same item differently. It attests to us all being different!! Now, I'll have to say with the entire aspect factored in, my Glock19C is the absolute best for me in every catagory. Fit, feel, ballance, recoil managment and accuracy all in one package. It is absolutly the best handgun (for me) out there. I'll have to say the second in the running is my daily carry, a G26. Perfect concealment and feels great in the hands. Recoil is a little snappy but totally managable for some quick follow up shots. I chose to ignore the 1911's. I have a stainless Kimber Pro Carry II and I adore it. I carried it for the first year I had my permit. Unfortunatly, the compact and sub-compact 1911's are harsher on recoil than my "twice-broken" right wrist can stand. A full size 1911 usually isn't much of a problem but after a 100rds or so, my wrists start to ache....

Yours has the factory stock correct?? Not the ATI stock like mine?? Can't remember if I saw it when we were at BigJ45's place or not........I know I didn't bring mine that day but I will next time.

Sooooo sorry I couldn't make it out today guys and gals. Looks like it was fun. Hopefully next time things will work out better. I had fun last time I was out with ya'll and definatly want to do it again.... So FtCityFatBoy was the only one who took pics???

I wish I could have gone with you guys....maybe next time!

No doubt. Some of the guys on the Hi-Point forum have created some of the sickest looking 995's.

Nicey nice!! Report back with your range visit.

A Glock?? Are you ??? Can you handle the the pressure of carrying "The Black Pistol"?? Glocks are like a can of Pringles, you can't stop after just one. Proud owner of a G19 and a G26.

Every style and brand of firearm has thier haters. Sometimes I think it's worse than Nascar. Sigs are sexy in their own right, as are Glocks. Here's my Glocks. My G19C and my G26.....sorry the pics are crap.
-
I use CompTac. They are much like a CrossBreed and I love mine. My G26 carries very very comfortably.....
-
But you could/should. I do along with many others. I have a 3 year old and while all of the other firearms are locked up, while I'm awake I always have my G26 with me. I wake up, do the 3 S's in the bathroom and strap on my "hip tumor" and go through out my day as usual. I disarm for work and sleep. That's it. Maybe I'm just a little but it's still kinda fun to be able to attatch my holster to my belt and carry my personal protector...... As far as the kid goes, my daughter doesn't have a clue my guns exist. Not yet anyways. Can't wait till she gets older....

It's not really about sleep seeing as my average has been about 4 to 5 hrs a day, it's about getting the yard work done and other Man Chores done vs. going out and playing. Tomarrow is going to be a nice day and I should come out and play, however, I need to get a few more things done around the house. So I'm out for tomarrow. Some good new is I've aquired pieces of an SKS that I've decided to play with. I've got the barrel and trigger assy along with the mag assy so now I'm looking for a bolt and carrier, and a few other items. I've already ordered a "Murray firing pin" and I have a new receiver cover ordered. I've got to decide on a stock (more than likley it'll turn into a "Bubba'd" with a Tapco T-6) Anyways, one it gets to firing status, I'll want to hit a range...so maybe next time. Sorry guys.

Hmm.....might be able to make this. Not sure. I know I'm working Saturday night but not sure when I'll be getting of Saturday morning but I'll keep you posted.

Doubt it..... They usually take up the ENTIRE restaurant. I'd love to make this and might be able to before work, just have to wait and see.... -
If it fits, it fits. Use it at your own descresion... Personally, you outght to contact CompTac and have a body made for the 229 sent to ya and replace the XD one. Think their $40 or so?? That's one reason I bought the MTAC for my Glocks. What ever I get in the future, I can purchase a body, swap them out and not have to worry about "breaking in" a new holster. Definatly better than having to purchase a new holster for every pistol you buy....

^^^^ "OhShoot" getto blastin' his 'highpoint' gat!!! ^^^^ That's all I had the chance to take.....had to shoot between pics...ya know to occupy my time. Thanks everyone. I had a blast.....

First off, BigJ45......thanks. Thanks a bunch for having us all out. Today was the the first time in a while I've actually had the chance to inhale tons of burnt powder and feel concussion waves. I think I would have had just as much fun watching you guys shoot as I did shooting myself. I realized after the first few clips that I was way to tired to concentrate and actually hit anything. That's one of the reasons I decided it was time to go after trying to hit the shotgun shells I set up. I seemed to have the ability to pop the the first two but after that.....well, let's just say the dirt has lead poisoning now. Motasyco and Blackbeltchick were super nice and fun to watch shoot. Have to say it's always pleasant to watch ladies shoot, especially big guns. Hope I didn't annoy you two or hog the table to much.... I wish I could have chatted with most of you more. It's absoutly awsome that I had the chance to hang out with you guys and gals. You all have some incredible weapons to say the least. I should have stayed around a little longer to see the .50 in action. As I was driving away I heard the BOOM......and I knew I should have shot my last 100rds I brought before I left. Anyways, I took a few pics. Hope you guys didn't mind me in your face snapping pics left and right..... The last few I have are on the next post.....

Carry Regulations on the Lake
kwe45919 replied to Parrothead's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
The only time I've been duck hunting was with my papaw and dad. I think I was 10 or 11 at the time. Anyways, my dad got a duck and we paddle our little flat bottom "john" boat over to it. My papaw puts his shotgun in his lap and leans forward to scoop the duck out of the water when BLAM.....he takes a chunk out of the rear of the boat. I'm pretty sure I started crying because I wet my pants and my dad was laughing at my papaw which made my papaw even more mad he shot up his own boat. Ahhh....my sweet memories as a terrified child. -
I feel so akward compared to you guys. Everything from my youth were revolvers. I cut my teeth on an old S&W 65 K-frame . It was my Papaw's service revolver for the Knox County Sherrifs Dept. I was 7 I believe. My father has the gun currently and soon it will be passed down to me as will dozens of other "family" jewls. My fondest memory is shooting my great grandpaws' old top break .38. I haven't seen it in years and I think my father actually has it in a safe deposit box. It's WWII era I believe. Can't remember the name or model of it for the life of me. (Gona have to get him to let me take a few pics.) I remember shooting that thing houndreds of times between the ages of 11 and 14. Those were fun times.....

Another G19 lover here, though mine is a 19C. Had mine for 5 years.....shot the crap out of it. Wanted another one but instead of buying one, I ended up walking out with a G26 instead. My G26 in my MTAC is heaven buttered up and served with hot coco........Mm Mmm good!!
