  1. Thanks...guess I could have done that....
  2. That was a very sweet thing to do.
  3. Some people would try to do that....
  4. That's just an awsome knife. Got the chicken heads, the rams head, skulls......had to be a great ceremonial sacrifical type knife.
  5. I got'em in today and got'em on!! Yes I suck at taking pics..... I shot a G17 using these and decided to get a set for my EDC. I believe I like them alot. Seems to be a faster sight picture for me. After multiple "dry" runs infront of the mirror, I can't wait to get to the range on my days off to play. I definatly have to get practice in before our next Norris trip. Can't look like a fool who can't shoot!!
  6. Wait a minute...........I've seen those before.........I know who was driving!!! Twas Ms. Daisy officer!!!!
  7. Sends what message?? That someone might have a gun they can rack?? What about ammo?? Could the person whom is racking the shotgun thinking "Man, I don't have any ammo so I hope this scares the person enough to leave!"......Good luck with that these days. That whole gun racking sound is a myth. Believe it or not, some don't know what a shotgun sounds like being racked. Same thing with a pistol.....just cause you rack the slide or cock the hammer doesn't gaurentee the person will run or leave your home. All ways be prepared to use the darn thing if needed. The muzzel flash will definatly make almost everyone run. +9000000000000000000000000000 on the Saiga. Very fine weapon and a great choice for a home defense shotgun.
  8. My wife has a G19 in her night stand. She chose it over a full size 1911 .45 Women usually like the feel of a 1911 but don't really like the recoil of one. After hitting a couple of gunshows and gun shops and shooting everything under the sun we could get our hands on from friends and family, she finally chose the Glock 19 for it's ease of use, fit and feel and ease of cleanning and keep up. It's a simple no brainer type firearm for women whom are confident in their handling of firearms. No safty to fumble with is what turned my wife on to the Glock family.
  9. The Bersa .380's seem to be good little guns and so far, all of the talk I hear about the Bersa 9 is good. Wouldn't mind checking one out sometime...
  10. Looks nice. One of these days I'l get a lever action. What did it set you back??
  11. If someone or a group of someone's came into my bank yelling and waving a gun around, I'd drop to the floor and start looking for the nearest escape route or the nearest "cover" in case of a firefight. I say that because you never know when another stranger in your position will just stand up and start shooting at the robbers. That could give you time to reposition or possibly escape. Pulling my gun and engaging the robbers would be a last split second decision and would definatly require the death or possible death of someone at that time.
  12. So what you're trying to say is..........you have a meet at ORSA on Saturday that you're going to attend. Preplanned so no problem there. Now, with Sunday and your fellow TGO'ers in mind, you won't shoot ALL your ammo at ORSA and you're going to try to take an hour or two to come on out and see us and shoot with us............RIGHT!!! Personally, I don't see any need for a decision considering you sound like you're wanting to stop by and say hi.......
  13. Screw the congrats!! Bout time fool!!
  14. Boy there are sure a lot of good sane points in this post. Surprised it hasn't gone overboard and gotten locked. Any ways, both CC and OC have thier advantages and their places. When I'm around other gun owners (ie range, gun shop) I might actually OC on purpose BECAUSE I CAN and these are places that people wont get freaky on you for carrying on gun on your hip. However, I wouldn't advise OC'ing into a funeral for the opposite reason mentioned above. Imagine how many people would absoutly go ape sh*t as you walked in to sit on the pew. Maybe everyone should try to OC every now and again for poops and giggles when they know they have extra time to deal with the extra harrasment from people. It's actually quite fun!!
  15. Cool, look forward to seeing you two again. Congrats on the new job. You'll be missed. We've posted photo's of our shoots at various places before.... You ought to be able to tell by our responses to posts like these and willingness to continue to gather at Norris, that it should be worth checkin' out for yourself. Come on, we hit Norris what, at least once a month....some two or three times a month. So get your sorry typin' "just a thought" butt out of your chair, get your panties out of your crack, get your guns and come join us and see just how much fun Norris range can be when fellow TGO'ers take over!!!
  16. For that price...I'll stick with a Glock or two.....
  17. Since this is your first handgun and your second or third time shooting, you're going to need to practice a lot more. Eventually you'll get the hang of it. Since you aren't going to spend the cash on an instructor, go shooting with more than just one person. Get ideas and tips from everyone and try them all to see what works. It's going to take you a while to get acustomed to your Beretta but once you do, you can take what you've learned about shooting the Beretta and apply it to a Glock or 1911 or what ever your next hand gun will be........it's all about practice and time. I've been shooting for 20+ years and still miss every now and again....
  18. No big deal...you'll still make sure your there right!! BTW......can someone get a MOD to change the date on the title to the 11th......
  19. Get you an SKS and purchase a few Tapco products...... Many different ways to set one up to...... Or, just get a Tec-9 and an AB-10.....32 rounds of fun.....
  20. So changin' it to the 11th?? All in favor say I!! Aye!!
  21. Wait....nothing about accidental self inflicted wounds caused by reholstering?? I thought that was the biggest problem with carrying a Glock of any kind with the chamber loaded?? Ya know...the trigger moving into the rearward position all by itself. Soooo many people have claimed thier Glocks have mysteriously gone off while reholstering and claimed the trigger was "bumped" by the trigger guard or some other BS excuse. Who in their right mind has to reholster soooo fast they shoot themselves?? Don't say Cops either. They can take an extra second to safely reholster properly to ensure their saftey as well as others in the area...that;s what they're supposed to do right?? Anyways, have has Glocks for about 5 to 6 years....never had an issues with FTF or FTE or any other "break-in" peorid. They have shot everytime directly out of the box with no issues.....

    CZ RAMI vs G26

15yrds will come with practice. It's not that hard really. Take your time. There's people who can use a G26 or G27 at 30yrds with consitency. Just takes time and practice.... Glock 26. CZ's are awsome no doubt. Not good/comfortable for me to carry but might be good for you. Doesn't hurt to check'em both out if ya can.
  23. I call tomarrow if I can and double check. It'll suck if it is but we'll just have to wait and then either try for the 27th of Sept or the 11th of Oct. They replace the particle board every now and again so eventually you'll get some fresh to shoot at....
  24. It was stated that way so those who need more notice and time to arrange plans to attend can see they have time to get their crap together and be there. No ball games, church will be over with, pleanty of notice for everyone, weather won't be steamy hot....over all, should be perfect.
  25. Hey guys.......12 or 1PM sounds fine to me. I kinda forgot to add the time to it but it's there now. We got a few comming but keep spreading the word.....
