  1. I've shot an LDA and loved it....unfortunaty, I don't like the prices of most Para products..... I've also shot the Hawg 9 and wasn't impressed. Felt too thick and uncomfortable in my hands....
  2. WOW!! Went through this whole thread finally.....and I must say, I think I need to find a "black" rifle now. Never been big on the "AR/M4" hype but you guys sure know how to dress'em up real good.....makin'em look all purdy and such.....
  3. I've shot the KelTec's and yes they can hurt the shooters hands, yes they can be inaccurate if the shooter can't handle the the thing. KelTecs' always seem to be hit or miss or at least they used to be that way. I've known 100 or so people that have had the P11 and some say it's a reliable weapon and others gripe about having to keep sending it back to KelTec. My personal opinion is that the newer models are usually running fine. However, I personally do not recomend carrying one as a main gun. As a back up is totally fine. I'd carry one to back up my G26 if I ever did decide to carry a back up that is. Decent little guns that fill a nitch in society. Like cars, sometimes you get a lemon but in most cases, those that do get the lemons, usually end up turning around and getting rid of it.
  4. Is this a yearly event?? I'd love to make it and I'm sure it'd be fun but I would need more time to plan so I can have the hotel etc. covered and the time off of work.
  5. Hmmm...if Oak Ridge actually goes......I don't think E. TN has a chance to wipe their butts before death arrives. Between the "Ridge", Watts Bar, Bull Run and other "power producing" plants in the area, we all just go boom and vaporize. Damns break, gass lines break....between all the carnage of the aftermath due to floods, fires and storms and the actuall "necular" explosion.....we all iz dead!
  6. Kids are awsome...my 3yr old surprises me everyday.
  7. Let's see......For where I live, and my skills my list would be simple..... Glock(s) AK/SKS Benelli M2 Entry 14.5 shotgun .22 Rifle Revolver(s)
  8. Check out this site. It's for SKS's but has a good section on AK's, just scrool down. Tons of info there for you to check out..... Survivor's SKS Boards - Index
  9. Nice shootin'......
  10. I checked them out but felt it just wasn't what I was looking for.....
  11. Yep....you killin' all the old threads!! On a seperate note, you need to look into a Crossbreed or CompTac IWB holsters. They seem to be by far the favorite for IWB and Glocks. I carry my G26 and G19 in the same IWB that is in my avatar which is a CompTac.

    Snap vs. Push

Different guns snap or push vs. other guns. Sub compact vs. compact vs. Full size vs. Stainless .vs polymer .vs bullet wt. and grain vs. maker of said firearm (different companies making 1911's).....etc, etc. Waaay to many factors to actually say for sure on what is snappier or pushier.......
  13. Guys...the first post for this thread was on 7/8.....3months ago. The last post before sidewinder posted 2 days ago was on 7/23..... Might be an old thread that didn't need resurection??
  14. Hey guys...had tons of fun when I was up there... My buddy had a great time and thanks to Oh Shoot and c.a.s for letting him shoot some of your fine firearms. Wish more people showed up and sorry I miss some of you but at 3pm we had to bug out to get my buddy home.... Oh Shoot....you actually shot a complete AB-10. As the lower for my Tec-9 has a trigger spring broke, I brought the Tec-9 upper to use on the AB-10 lower as they are interchangeable. However, the Tec-9 had some light primmer strikes when firing it and I kept having to manually eject the rounds and try again. It's something I need to address before I try to shoot it again.

  20. Thank you....he may need it. I was planning on getting there around 12:30....maybe earlier if Matt shows up at my house on time. Really?? I've been up there 5 or 6 times from 10am to 3pm and it hasn't been busy much at all. Besides, we can all share...right!! Man o' man....sitting here at work waiting on time to pass is killing me.
  21. I'm bringing it back out sunday with some new Houge grips and a box of 50rds. You're more than welcome to unload a cylinder.....
  22. Well, my Glock26/19 are the main set of twins I have but my Tec-9 and AB-10 might as well be considered twins as well. My S&W airweight .38 and my S&W 19-3 were seperated at birth but occasionally meet up for reunions. Still looking for a 7.62x39 twin for my SKS thought....
  23. Gettin' closer.........slowly. I don't know how many times I've checked and rechecked my bags, my ammo, my mags and guns in preperation. Looks like the weather will still be holding out for us as well. Might still be a little muddy but should be sunny and around 70*..... Looks like I'll be bringin' a friend. He's not a big gunner and maybe has only shot a couple of times in his life so he should have a blast seeing the diverse ammount of firearms we all will bring.
  24. There's another one to add to my dream list......
