  1. Ya know....I'm silly enough to be willing to pay for some bloody knuckles. Seriously, I'm willing to try.....even willing to pay to try. I'm game!!! Soooooo sunday's lookin' th best right now.....well with TN weather, anythings possible....
  2. The only thing to say is practice, practice, practice! Get the fluidity of the motions down pat BEFORE you start working on speed. Speed usually come naturally if the presentation is smooth......
  3. Awsome shootin'......says a lot about the gun. Don't think I'd ever have the use for one, but that things darn nifty!!

    Good Day!

Always good to have a fun day at the range.
  5. So saturday morning?? That the majority concensus?? 11am or so??
  6. Umm, in all reality, it's a handgun. It shoots like a handgun would shoot. It's not gona sting your hand or split your forehead open because of the massive recoil. You seem worried or squeemish about shooting one for some reason. Confidence is the key to shooting any gun no matter the caliber or type. After the first shot, you'll never be the same...... If you are worried about shooting the massive, hardcore .45ACP monster stopper, then maybe you need someone to hold your hand in the gun stores so they won't bite you through the glass. Their tuff and hard to tame for sure. You'll need lots of sleep and vitamins to keep your energy up as excited as you're gona be when you realize the granddaddy of all things handguns is sitting in your hands going bang!!!
  7. So when's this goin' down?? Next Sunday now?? What time's everyone thinking?? If everyone's gona bring thier shotty's, I'll just have to bring my newest purchase if I can get it picked up this week..... Make sure to bring warm chothing as it only getting colder....
  8. Congrats on the new purchase......sure you'll love it. Wish I was available to shoot tomarrow, been itchin' to for a while now just dont have the time.
  9. Another welcome...
  10. FYI it shoots fine. I carry 124gr Rangers and these feel and shoot very similar to them. 17yrds is the max I've "practiced" at but pretty darn accurate for government work... I've ran about 700rds here latley throught both my Glocks as well as my Tec-9 and AB-10 with no issues at all. Pretty dirty stuff but no big deal for the price....it's nothing but practice ammo and cheap stuff at that. No different to me than shooting wolf. They actually come sealed in a white vacum bag and most of the boxes are usually broke. My 1000rd "case" was from 1987 and though the brass was dull, I have had no issues with it... This is what I have left of the ammo....I plan on getting more while I can... 124gr Paki Next to a Wally World Winchester white box 115gr .. Brass isn't bad or corroded. The broken box on the left actually had 3 extra rounds in it. The other broken boxes only had 50rds but none were short...
  11. Definatly trade the 27 for a 26 for mag interchangability and concealabitity for summer time....you can't go wrong.....
  12. Very nice write up and the links are pleantiful at the bottom. Awsome job.....keep up the good work.
  13. Oooooooops..... somehow a double post........
  14. FYI...if anyone doesn't mind mail ordering ammo....Sportsman Guide has been awsome for me for 7.62x39 and 9mm recently. I've bought everything from Wolf to PowerShok to surpluss on the 7.62 and with the 9mm it's been fair game as well. I've bought some Packastani (1980's) surpluss, Wolf (including 147gr gold HP's), Rem Golden Sabers, Fiocci, MagTec, MagSaf and tons of others. The prices are reasonable and shipping usually takes around 4 days to arrive here in Knoxville..... So when your needing ammo, check with Sportsmans Guide...... FYI.....50 Rds. .308 ACP 95 - gr. FMJ Ammo Browning Short $17.47 at Sportsman Guide as of 11/22/09 at 7:45am
  15. Seriously, any bullet in the chamber is better than no bullet in the chamber no matter if it's a hollow point or a FMJ.
  16. Whoa.....8 pages of pure controversy..... Boycotting isn't the answer here I'm sorry to say but anyone can do or think as they wish since it's a free country.... P.S. I don't go to Applebees because of the liquor or because they don't allow guns, I go to eat the food. Besides, most places these days have curb side pick up so you don't have to go in anyways....just call'em and keep carrying your gun in your car when you pick up the food......anyone think of that?? I'll still spend my money there, I just don't have to go in.
  17. Pricing doesn't seem to be that bad........still could be a little cheaper.

    Glocks

How about better concealability for some especially for spring/summer, more comfortable (less weight) to carry pending clothing, and sometimes, just sometimes......smaller is better. (Just ask the wife )
  19. As they should be.......anyone who buys one to carry is a fool. Buy one that isn't a "limited edition" and have at it. Of course shooting it at the range a time or two has to be done to ensure functionality incase you might need to use it........other than that, put it behind glass to show off to all your friends.
  20. Sweet......welcome to the Glock world, again!!
  21. Interested to see just what they decide to do with the 1911 platform....
  22. The BULGARIAN SSR-85 (Arsenal) is one fine AK even though the receivers are stamped vs. milled so I'd assume the SGL20-41's aren't that bad. Not sure of the differences between the two but the SSR-85 I've shot was one helluva shooter with a crisp trigger.......wish I had one.
  23. For some reason, I really don't miss my 995......guess it didn't make that big of an impression on me..... Anyways....might as well add yet another dimention of the 995..... My old HighPoint 995:
  24. You'll have to bring it next time to Norris.....
  25. That's a lot of levers..........nice collection.
