  1. Find this guy..... ...he's on here and can do things with the C9 people have never seen....
  2. Thanks for the pics. Maybe a few without the extension?? I don't see me getting a "C" but the SR9 has been in my sights for a while now.....
  3. Glocks have had their run in the market and it's now slowed down because everyone else has "caught up" in the ploymer game in one sense or another. Isn't Glock now "catching up" to others whom have interchangeable backstraps?? The public are wanting more saftey features they can see vs internal. Besides, things get old after a while and Glocks, which haven't changed in years until recently, are old. Hence the reason people/police are switchin' over to XD's or S&W's or 1911's again......
  4. Not quite. As far as jewerly goes, pending on if it's a lab creation item or the actual stone (along with the 3 C's /color,cut,clarity) plus the aquired setting it's in helps to determine the cost of the item along with the geographical location. Considering stores like Zales, Kays etc. buy stones, gold, platnium in bulk, they get it cheaper then we could. The rarity of the design of the setting also makes a difference in pricing. One reason a set of 1ct diamond earrings can cost $200 at WalMart vs. $800 at a "jelerly" store. I worked for Kay's Jewelers 13 years ago and became a certified Jemologist through thier managment program. After seeing what it cost for them vs. what people were charged/paid for, I stopped getting the wife jewerly. I think of all that cash I spent on her stuff over the years I was there compared to what I would have paid with out my company discount.
  5. They shoulda made it in a .50cal....
  6. Guess you'll have to trash the clips and purchase a few mags BEFORE you shoot it though......
  7. I'm not afraid to say it!! YOU SUCK!!! While my wife is understanding and all of my habbits.....saying something like that would only come after she gets something she wants....
  8. Agreed. Unless you plan on selling it once the "newness" wears off and want to make a proffit.
  9. Just your usual 922R compliancy.....
  10. So you shot twards your feet?? ........by the way it sounds, you were still standing on the snake when you started shooting at it.........
  11. Most of us can relate....
  12. Phoenix Freakin Arms............. Great range report. You ought to start your own Dick Cheney'esk book and describe your hunting trips as well as range reports.
  13. Has anyone yet to mention the cost of being able to fire ammo many thousands of times?? ....let me show you an example... (given example does not reflect actual prices but average prices based on WalMart pricing) 1 box of 9mm avg. price $10 for 50rds 500rds would cost approx $100 1000rds would cost approx $200 2000rds would cost approx $400 4000rds would cost approx $800 8000rds would cost approx $1600 And the price goes up pending caliber......with .22lr usually being the cheapest and most cost effective Thousands of rounds through any firearm can get expensive even if its over a peorid of time. Last year in 09' I purchased about around 1400rds (approx $300) of 9mm and around 1700rds of 7.62x39 (approx $425). So give or take I spent around $700 in ammo. Many people can't afford to do this much less be able to do it in multiple calibers. Heck, if I'd stop shootin' for a year, I'd be able to buy another firearm...
  14. .........we always beat around the old open carry bush. While legal, harassment will ensue. Someone will call the cops on you OR the cops will show up at your door asking what was going on. Yes TGO'ers...this happened to a friend. He decided to run to the gas station and grab a pack of smokes. While leaving, an elderly woman noticed his pistol and called 911. Apperantly she took down his liscense tag and reported the type of vehicle he was driving. 15 minutes after he was home, Oak Ridge City Police had 3 cop cars and K-9 sitting in front of his house. My buddy and I exited his house with our permits in our hands. The officers already knew he had a permit to carry from the information given by dispatch. After checking my credintals and a quick chat, 5 minutes later everything was sorted out and everyone left. The police gave one bit of advice......do not open carry. Carry as concealed as possible to avoid situations like these. The officers said they have better things to do then to chase a permit holder down. A heavy percent of the population, especially elders, are and always will be scared of guns. We'll never change thier minds so it's best to try to prevent the harassment of permit holders by doing our little part and keeping our firearms hidden from the public......
  15. It's definatly fun and yes, we all good peoples...... Normally we end up going on Saturdays but a few of us like OhShoot and I go spradically through out the week. I usually bust up there of a morning after work......very few people there at the buttcrack of dawn.
  16. Only if you're wearing M.C. Hammer pants. Someone thin who don't wear overly excessive pants will have issues getting a G26 in their front posket. I can barely get my own hands in my pockets no matter the brand of jeans or dress pants I wear. My waist is 32 and I'm around 170, if it wasn't for the M-Tac, I'd be carring a Kel-Tec.
  17. My Optomistist would if I did that.....and he knows me. He's known me for years and knows I carry and shoot often. His only answer was a seperate pair of glasses in bigger frames for the range. Cheap ones at that. Kinda like the size of the old Magnum P.I. Glasses...gives a wider view and gives old school style points for the geezers...
  18. The W.W.W. is the ultimate test of tests. A must of any newbie!!
  19. Nice range report...sounds like you had a little fun.
  20. Guess no ones gona be there Sat??

    44 special

Definatly trade for the Charter......much better IMO.
  22. Yep...... Actually, you should be able to use any gun and out shoot them IF you can actually shoot. Kimbers do not make the shooter shoot better....
  23. I understand this thing actually fired 6 times BEFORE it went boom?? Wow! My Lorican went bang once and lock up. Still locked up to this day with the first shots' empty casing still in it. Something broke inside and had the slide locked up tight. I just tossed it in a box with other gun junk and I think's it's finally sank down to the bottom...... Oh...did I mention my Lorican was chrome as well??
  24. Those things are just neat.....
  25. Mmmmmmmm.....revolvers. Though I have always carried an "Auto", my wife and I perfer my 19-3 as the nightstand go to gun for home defense...
