    Glock 19

Truth is, you should go to your local shop and pick up a gen3 G19 or handle what ever model they have in stock. Grip it, cock it, pull the trigger on it. Possibly haggle over the price for a minute if that suits your fancy. Then if you like the feel of the stock gen3 19, then might as well pick one up. If the grip, fit and feel is off, then you might want to consider the gen 4. Of course if the shop only has the gen4 in stock, you'll more than likely just get that as one of the grips provided will fit/feel better pending your hand size. Moral of the story is........... GO TO YOUR LOCAL GUN SHOP OF CHOICE AND PLAY!!! Oh...and try not to act like a little girl walking into a Barbie shop....
  2. Very nice....I like the color contrast with the bottom one. Looks good.
  3. Be running by there in the morning!!!
  4. That's a 19yr old article from 89'....While it's a good read with great info in it, today's production ammo is scientificly different than back in 89' so keep that in mind and add that to the knowledge presented in these FBI files.....
  5. I carry 127gr +p Rangers in my G26......no issues to date. I've put about 300rds of them through my Glock. My secondary loads are Hornaday 124gr TAP......I've shot about 200rds of them through my Glock with no issues... As far as how many rounds to shoot through your weapon would slightly depend on the type of handgun you're using. Most Glocks normally eat just about anything and have no issues doing so. Both my Glocks have eaten everything from the cheapest Packastani or wolf ammo to the expensive stuff like Extreme Shock and MagSafe and never had one hiccup. No FTF or FTE. If you're carry weapon is known to be picky (such as was my Kimber Pro Carry II) you might want to spend a little more time with your carry rounds to ensure you "shouldn't" have a problem. One more little tip...no that it really matters to some.....but if you carry a 124gr round.......practicing with a similar round can help in the accuracy department as well as follow up shots. There are a lot of people whom will practice with a general 115 WWB round and then carry a 124gr+P round. Sure I go the the range and blast through a couple o' hundred rounds and yes they're usually 115gr. I call those my "triggertime" rounds. I also have some Winchester 124gr NATO +p ball ammo, to compliment my Ranger carry rounds, that I use when it's time to get serious and challenge my skills without killing my actual SD ammo. Both are the same gr and feel the same way when shooting them.......
  6. Already got all my extra's gone.......
  7. Sweet set o' rifles.....
  8. Both will do fine for ya....the 23 has a few options by purchasing a few extra barells and mags of different calibers Personally you might as well stick to a weapon in one caliber and practice with it, be it the 9mm or .40S&W.......you just need to choose the caliber you're comfortable with.
  9. For some maybe.......for others, like me who have a big butt, it's tucks away and doesn't print...... It's really about the size of the person and where they are wearing the holster....
  10. Looks like you have a few thousand in "back up" funds if you ever need it.....
  11. Awsome choice for your first handgun. Definatly a keeper for life.....
  12. Definatly the FNP9.....to me it's a better carry weapon. Sounds like you need to find the right holster for it though....
  13. Glad it poped up. I'm very happy with mine and so far it's worked out great. Gotta get some pics up to show ya'll......
  14. IWB Dual magazine Pouch | GunSaddles.com It's not leather but try here. I measured my light and my G19 mag and figured it'd work just fine....the light is a LED Lenser. I'll get pics up real soon....it's been the best thing I've found for cheap and it works fine....
  15. Seems no one has mentioned Para yet?? The "hogs" I've shot felt wonderful though a little chunky in the hand for me. They shoot excellent and I've yet to see any with issues.... However, out of those three choices listed, I'd sling the cash for the CZ. CZ's are sweet and reliable as well as feel good...
  16. Where ever this ends up being in June, I plan to attend and I plan to bring my father along with a few freinds......
  17. AK's might would have a little penetration into your neighbors homes unless you're shooting something like ExtremeShock frangiable. However, it's been shown/proven many times that an AR and it's .223 caliber is excellent for HD/CQB. One of the reasons many Swat and police use the AR platform. Penetration through multiple walls isn't as bad as one would think. Now.....I carry my G26 and occasionally my G19. Which ever one I'm carrying for the day is usually the one that ends up in my bedside holster. When I'm not at home, my wife has her G19 loaded up and ready to go if she needs it along with being able to get to the secondary back up of either my G19/G26. 2 G17 mags always stay with the bedside holster so no matter who's gun is used, there is always spare ammo and mags available to me and my wife. IF the situation requires it, the Mossberg is an arms lenght away and other firearms/ammo are available as well..... In closing, the reason people use different handguns for SD and HD is the simple fact that they can afford to. Seriously, some of us can only afford one MAYBE two handguns while others can afford to have 30. Then you have the people who have waaaay to much money and have to buy every new and neat gun on the market because they can......
  18. I think most of us have been denied at one point or another. No biggie, especially if you've already had your HCP. I was denied at a pawn shop 2 years ago for a Jennings J22. Both me and the shop owner laughed since I had my HCP and was carrying my Kimber at the time.....
  19. Wow what a difference......might have to try some of that....
  20. Their mags are their only downfall. Sometimes you need to pinch the tops of the feeding lips on them.......little tid bit of info the great one above in the pic passed on to me......
  21. Hey....I love my Glocks but still can intelligently tell the truth about the firearms. They are what they are. They had a niche in the market and now they are old news....people just want different things.....different is good right??
  22. Too cool. Might have to get into leather making when I retire.....
  23. Sweet looking with the can.....
  24. Sweet.........G26 is my EDC and my G19 is now on home defense duty.
  25. I was just seeing who'd give me greif for pointing that out...... It's an opinion jacka$$. No need to be rude. I perfer Glocks over both S&W and XD's. Am I smoking crack like everone else?? I don't want to feel left out......
