  1. G26 with 10+1 and a G17 17rd mag loaded with Win Rangers that I keep on my person. Suppose that ^^ isn't enough for what ever reason, IF I can make it back to the vehicle, in my trunk my Factory Glock box has 2 spare loaded G17 mags, and 2 25rd pks of ammo. Total rnds = 112 The only reason I do this is the possibility of having my vehicle breakdown in the middle of nowhere or making a "Wrong Turn" into canibal land. Of course there is always the possibility of "Red Dawn" occuring.....somewhere.... I highly doubt I'd need that much ammo for the general "gas station robbery" or SD shooting but it never hurts to have some spare ammo some where accessable...
  2. I tried the pistol grip deal......just didn't have good control and the wife refused to shoot it. Sooooo, to keep it as compact as I could, I put a Houge youth stock on my Mossy 500 (18.5in) . Works awsome, my wife can shoot it and it's still really compact!!! Matter of fact, it's the pretty darn close to the lenght of my AK tip to tip as seen in the pic........ Yes my photo skills suck.....
  3. Wow......you really changed the whole look of it. I likey ALOT.........
  4. Yep, that left a mark........ Geeze, I know my shorts, shirt and shoes would be ruined as my butt would have exploded from fright...... Glad you're OK and have learned a valuable lesson from this.
  5. I've owned a 995 that had the ATI stock on it with an el-chepo reddot. Enjoyed it for a little while but just couldn't grow to love it enought to keep it. Shot OhShoots' C9 and while suprisingly accurate and pretty easy to shoot, I just don't like super top heavy guns therefore I won't own one. A buddy of mine has the .45 and after holding it, I could care less about shooting it.
  6. Lorican .380 (no, I didn't purchase it) Twas the second time I went shooting with the guys at Norris, the Lorican fired once and locked up. Something inside broke and locked the slide closed. I gave away the other 49 rounds of .380 while I was there. Got home, put the gun in a vise and tried to "un-jam" the slide to no avail. Eventually got silly and took a 5lb sledge to it to see what it'd do. Needless to say part of the slide did come off after the frame broke in two. After examining the remains I still couldn't figure out what happened......hehe.
  7. Most women would agree...................10mm is to small.
  8. I still have the entire set of wood for it and it all looks like that. I used Minwax "Ebony" on it and let it sit for 5 minutes before lightly rubbing it off. Turned out good, however, the AK stock doesn't fit into my shoulder enough for my liking hence forth the Vltor/Magpul stock and of course the Ultimac rail to top it off. I plan on changing the forarm as well eventually, when I find what I want....
  9. Kinda neat...needs a few more bold colors shinning through.....
  10. Congrats on the new purchase.... Safariland OWB and CompTac MTAC......I use both for my G19 and G26. Both holsters work well for both guns whether it's IWB or OWB.
  11. I use Ameriglo Ghost Ring tritium sights on my G26.....works great for me and has for almost 2 years. AmeriGlo Weapon Sights | Ghost Ring
  12. practice baby......practice.
  13. Anyone can pull that off..........just ask any Glock owner.
  14. Any caliber can be suffecient with the right well placed shot. Any caliber has the ability to kill. Different calibers have been made for different types of hunting, plinkin, killing, and people. No one is the same so why should the ammo be?? I carry a Glock26 with 10+1 of 127gr Win Rangers with a 15rd back up mag. Gun is small, light and concealable. I feel covered in an true SD situation.
  15. Nothing special, just a WASR and Mossy 500
  16. It really depends on the firearm on what you could/would/should do.....
  17. I can't wait till my little girl is just a little older....
  18. Yep.....it's all about the runners.
  19. Thats really a sweet piece and a great holster...
  20. I remember that post as well. It could happen at anytime. The warrenty may be voided if there is visible damage from using a punch and hammer. However, those things are supposed to be in there well enough to be able to use them in "combat" type situations which could entail a dropped gun, banging it on a fence post while jumpin' after a criminal, falling down the stairs while it's holstered....I could go on and on about all the little bumps that COULD knock the tritium cylinders out. They have a warrenty for a reason. If installed correctly, they will replace or repair them. How you install them correctly is up to you. P.S.....using a rubber mallet and a dowel pin while the slide is in a well padded vise works wonders for not creating damage. Yes, I'm one of the idiots whom didn't look at the dates in the thread.....graveyard posting I guess.
  21. Did it look like an old basket weaved holster?? My Papaw had one that looked like it was from the 1930's. Said he got it at an old leather shop in DownTown Knoxville around 1960. It was "home made" and looked like the old LEO holsters but was tanned, not black with a thin strap that snapped. I believe my dad has it now.....
  22. Didn't Knoxx Stocks make one or was going to make one a few years back?? It's an interesting concept but I don't think it'd be comfortable to shoot....
  23. Be carefull........I've heard those Maryland people are crazy!! Good luck and stay safe.
  24. According to some people.....all buffers are "mouse milk". I think recoil buffers are for old guys................... :D
  25. Pretty cool.....
