    Gods Handgun

I've held one and didn't think much of it....just another HK. I'm sure it's a very sweet gun but it's just not for me. I'm a Glock geek apperantly. Nothing fits or feels like the 3rd Gen glocks do for me. I know I've tried 100's of different handguns in all calibers and have kept returning to Glock because they just fit me.
  2. Ahhh...the old Jennings .22. Used to have one and loved it. Never had any issues with it till an ex-girlfriend stole it from me. The chick gave it to her new boyfriend as a gift. When the cops returned it to me, it looked like it had been smashed with a sledge hammer. Been wanting to replace it for years...might have to give the Phenix a try.....

    FNS-9

I had a FNP in 9mm go through my hands last summer. Shot about 200rnds out of it before it went to a friend. While I really liked it, the only thing that did bug me in the beginning was the trigger pull. After a few mags, I started getting used to it. At the end of the shooting session, I was pleased with the accuracy. As far as it being close in size to the G19, I felt like it was and I don't think there would be any issues carrying it in place of a G19.......but once again, gotta get used to the trigger pull first!!!!
  4. While I'm not up for the "minimalist survival' stuff, I'm always up for a little camping. It's been a long time since my camping gear has seen the light of day and it's about time to go through some of my stuff to see what I may need for future treks. I know I have some cold weather camping stuff including a Zero* sleeping bags and what not but I still don't enjoy the cold at all................
  5. The EAA EZ9 and Ruger P95 are the absolute best on the list in my opinion for the price. I've never seen or shot a M88 but I've heard decent comments on them. Great chart Mousegunner......
  6. New Years Eve is a workie day for me and the wifey so that's a no go and this weekend isn't available either. I'm itchin to go for sure.....maybe Sun Jan 2nd.....
  7. Nice......good job.
  8. That was my thoughts.........poverty doesn't mean that guns and an "i don't care to die gangsta" attitudes aren't allowed . The "hoods" would most likley survive bacause they are already almost barbaric in their everyday livin' anyways. Shoot, just another Zombie thug popped with "ma Nina"!! It ain't gona be no thang!!!
  9. They ment to put "government scientist" in there.....not sorcerer. Guess they need to fire the proof readers........
  10. Scored 40........... Thank you for taking the FVZA aptitude test. Your score indicates that your personality might be best-suited for a position as a Shadow. Shadows were elite trained fighters who conducted night missions against vampires and zombies. Unlike members of the Assault Team, Shadows generally worked alone. The best Shadows tended to be loner types who possessed a combination of supreme confidence and a problem with authority. An ideal Shadow candidate was young and single, as the job's training requirements and strange hours allowed little time for a personal life.
  11. Man....people have no imagination do they?? Geeze.......first off, the "diease" that creats zombies starts off with sometype of military science expirament exploding and releasing a toxic cloud that floats through the air and mass populations get infected while sleeping or doing their daily chores with out knowing it. Pretty simple and very easy for it to happen, They just breath the air like normal. then approxmatly 24hrs later.....BOOM.....man, woman, child, military, police, who ever is in that area is now a zombie. As far as the weather goes, rain sleet and snow wont kill or hurt zombies because they are already dead. Their bodies are rotting in a sedated style therefore allowing them to remain "undead" for months on end. Due to the mysterious zombie virus, the normal effects of weather will not hurt them for quite sometime. Animals refuse to eat the rotting meat called zombies. Why, because most animals know when something is "infected" or wrong when it comes to meals. They don't want to die or turn into them so generally they leave the zombies alone and continue hunting "live" prey as usual. Besides, in the long run, with man mostly gone there will be a lot of species that will be able to "regenerate" their numbers.......wild animals will continue as usual and will avoid the zombies..... The only gaurenteed truth the artical had is the sheer number of firearms here in the U.S and all over the world. There's just to many people who could and would blow the ever loving hell out of a zombie and I'm sure NATO would have no issues nukin' a city quarintened with infected zombies. The only reason a full scale world zombie domination would/could never happen......is us. Citizens. We are the future and we will fight proudly....zombies or not!!
  12. Man, I can't recall how many stocks I "tried on" before settling with what I have....... ACE stocks are good and I thought about getting the M4 buttstock version but after putting one up to my shoulder at a gunshow, I decided to go with my Vltor/Magpul.
  13. I personally do not like the fit and feel of the stock AK furniture. I read what people had to say about the various stocks available and tried a few variations and wasted a little money like most people do. I simply went with a Vltor tube and a MagPul butt stock. The Tube is aluminum not plastic, the mounting points are sturdy and the MagPul buttstock fits snuggly into my shoulder. Feels great and it's very functional for ME. I purchased the Ulitmak gas tube and it works. Fit is supurb and yes, with an Aimpoint or Micro ior a clone of either WILL allow you to "co-witness" the iron sights. All that's great but practice with the irons first before you decide on any optic or optic mount. Mine went from this..... To this....... Had the Aimpoint on, but took it off to refamiliarize myself with the irons.......
  14. That is some major impressive work. To me, you've created a work of art that is not only functional but very enjoyable to look at. Makes me want to do something like that to my G17 to give it character.......
  15. Uhhhh.................why in the world would anyone want to be part of something that silly!!!
  16. To my right is a pack of Zingers....guess I'll need the extra sugar to run fast, because on my left is a stack of paperwork. Of course, if I time it just right, I may be able to get a few good papercuts on him before I have to run.........given it's a crawler.

    Glock?

I started with revolvers then moved to the 1911. My wife wanted a Glock 6yrs ago because her dad had one and she liked it. I tried to get her to try other guns but she was set on a Glock19. Fast forward 2 years, being summertime, I realizied that my Kimber Pro Carry wasn't easy for me to carry in shorts and a t-shirt. Knowing that I had shot the wife's 19 pretty well and it felt awsome in my hands, I decided to get me a 26. With the 26 working out awsome for summer carry I thought about getting another 19 but ended up trading a PT1911 for a 17. The 17 is the "home defense" pistol for the wife and I carry the 26 in summer and the 19 in winter....
  18. Looks awsome.....great job!!
  19. I like my Tallon grips on my G26... Works just as good as the slip on grips by Houge...
  20. Our Classified section would be a good place to look. You could always post a "want add" as well..... My choices would be...(not in this order) Mossberg 500, Maveric 88 or Remy 870......read about them, then pick your poison. You won't go wrong with either of these three.
  21. Shaun of the Dead.....they knew what to do...
  22. Need to make it "belt" feed some how. Talk about serious Zombie destruction!!! Too cool!!!!
  23. ^^^^ That's kinda what I was getting at with the Bio-experiments going on "seceretly" at Y12/K25. Ya know, mix some radation poisoning with a little flesh eating virus and add a pinch of puffer fish toxin and whola........instant Zombie. Happens all time in Hollywood.
  24. I did one time in High School....sorta. In English Lit as "extra credit/bonus points" for semester exams we were instructed to write a short story in book format about any subject we wanted to write about. I was bombing English Lit at the time so I needed the help. Obviously I chose a fantasy Zombie Apocalypse. As it turns out, the teacher as horrified that I used a viral outbreak at Oak Ridge as ground zero and some of the details were a little gruesom but she couldn't deny that it was well written. She wanted to keep the story for future classes as an example of book writing and she even entered in the Knoxville Dogwood Arts Festivile that year. I think I got 7th place or something like that..... I have a small imagination but nothing crazy. It took me longer to type the above post than it did for me to think it up. I've been trying to help my 4yr old to use her imagination for play time and dress up time. Tea parties are now hosted by multiple stuffed animals and Barbie dolls now instead of her..... Cool........Good job. I've always wondered about hospitals and the possible diseases people could bring in. During a surgery having the persone "opened up" fresh blood everywhere......just makes me think someone could have something deadly that's stayed dormant. Then all of a sudden, a doctor's thinking he's removing a tumor off of a patients spine and it ends up being some microbe the dude got while in Honduras. Over time it's taken control of dudes nervous system and now it feels threatened. It bursts open the sack on the spine and sprays everyone in sight with an acid infecting those in the sugery room. Ohh man, I could go on and on about how the crazy things man has done with the Medical world will someday wipe us all out.
  25. My story………… News Flash for Wednesday November 24, 2010 The notorious November Hurricane named Zimmer, already dubbed the “Dooms Day” hurricane, will hit land fall tonight on the beaches of Louisiana and Mississippi. The Federal governments along with FEMA and the National Guard have tried to evacuate the entire states of Louisiana and Mississippi. Hurricane Zimmer, now a record breaking category 6 WILL be the world’s worst natural disaster in history. Spanning 567miles wide, winds recorded over 300mph and moving at a slow 16miles and hour, it’s estimated to wipe out Louisiana and Mississippi. At this point there’s no telling the total devastation or impact it will have on the U.S. as it travels further inward. In other news, record breaking temperatures in the north continue. A blistering deep northeasterly wind continues out of Montana and dips as far southeast as Kentucky. Much of the North East is experiencing harsh temperatures and blistering winds due to this odd weather occurrence. The question on most people’s minds now is what will happen when the warm moist air from Zimmer hits this nasty cold jet stream. It has the potential of causing tornados and sever storms all along the South and entire East and Northeast’s’ coast. The local police along with dozens of military are doing what they can to help the people of the hurricane, but response times for emergency’s are getting longer due to the lack of help. We urge the entire U.S. to please help us in this time of need by being patient and careful. Do not take any unneeded risks in these possible deadly times. As food and supplies continue to fly off the shelves everywhere, we have to wonder when they will, if ever, get restocked. K25 Labs Oak Ridge, TN 8:34pm November 24th Deep in the secret underground labs of K25 a female biological doctor injects a microscopic parasite with a deadly mixture of a virus/bacteria combination that was combined with a simple protein. Once the parasite accepts the mixture the parasite is then injected into a common lab rat. With in minutes, the area of injection starts to blister and become puss filled. The rat scratches at the wound opening it up further. The rat starts to squeal and run into the walls of the cage as his hair seems to be falling out at a tremendous rate revealing more blisters and rashes. Suddenly, the rat falls over and is lifeless. Excited the doctor hurries to examine the rat. Slipping on the safety procedures the doctor reaches into the cage with a net to scoop out the rat. She pulls the rat out and brings it up to her eyes for a closer look…….something’s moving…..inside the rat. Screams would have been heard if the doors weren’t 2 inches thick solid steel or if her co workers hadn’t already gone home for the night. Trying to get to the alarm by the door to seal off the area, the young doctor knocks beakers and test tubes into the floor. She can’t see well. Her eyes burning, skin burning…..and she feels like she’s going mad…….but the alarm is just a few steps out of reach……have to make it!!! Y12 Disposal Labs Oak Ridge, TN Mistakes happen and today wasn’t the day to make one. Trying to get nuclear shipments in and out of the disposal labs in the pending upcoming bad weather was the worst idea in history. More workers unloading and more fork trucks running around, make maneuvering an 18 wheeler impossible. Deep, 2 miles underground in the storage facility for nuclear materials, men and women alike scurry around. Present Day November 25th Thanksgiving Day Oak Ridge, TN (up on a mountain safe in my home……..for now) My Journal: No one really knows how or what happened, all we know to this point is there was a mistake made causing a terrible explosion. This explosion traveled parallel under ground through the various underground tunnels and corridors and took out both Y12 and K25 plants and labs. Radiation is presently seeping through the ground but most airborne radiation is under control. The CDC has been called in because of the “military” contracts being developed in K25 but we haven’t a clue about what they were up to. Everyone was told to stay in their houses and don’t go out side…….wonder how many people listened. My wife and I along with our 5yr old daughter have the windows taped up with plastic and the doors sealed off. The A/C vents have been sealed as well as the unit turned off. My emergency plan is in effect as there’s no telling what will happen. For now, we all just sit in the living room, playing games and keeping our daughters mind of off the situation. I’ve got plenty of food and water and batteries for the radio and flashlights. Guess I’ll start keeping this journal since we may be infected by something or have radiation poisoning by now……..just have to wait and see. More to come..............
