  1. Why thank you...origionality at it's best.
  2. Am I missing something here?? If you are carring concealed how would anyone know including family and thugs know that you do have a gun?? Look up the defination of concealed and show me where it says people notice things concealed. Now, personally, I think the posting of the racism stuff isn't a concern here. Neither is the issue of what your family thinks. If you are 21 yrs old and are applicable for an HCP, then by all means get one....however, don't get one because you've had a few racist comments made twards you or your family so now you think carrying a gun is the answer....because it's not. Properly carrying a weapon and being able to use it are way more important than getting a gun for protection against the racist fools of the planet. Hopefull you understand what I'm saying because one of these day, you may have to save a racist fools butt with your firearm......
  3. As all guns are, the relitave size of the grip has to conincide with your hand. 3rd gen glocks fit and feel great and are a breeze for me to carry. I've tried many and wasted money like most of us do trying to find the "combinnation" that worked for me.....
  4. ........I'm pretty sure you were there before the radiation took over....
  5. Uhhhh you ate a fish, a bottom feeding fish from Melton Lake?? You know there are signs everywhere saying "you eat outa this lake, you get cancer".....I fish Melton as it's in my back yard but I'd never eat anything out of it.....Noriss,Tellico maybe but never Melton.......
  6. This is my WASR.....I have about $750 in it total including the Ultimak gas tube, Magpul butt stock, Voltor stock tube, sling, the Burris optic and the American Defense mount for the Burris....it goes bang everytime and seems to hit the target at 100yrds.....fits n feels perfect for me. Sometimes you just gotta do what suites you and your style.....
  7. Ive tried 2 different ways of carrying a second gun. Tried carrying my G19 IWB on my Right hip and my G26 in a LH IWB around the 7 to 8 oclock position. These along with a spare 15rnd mag became to much weight and it became cumbersum to move around comfortably not to mention having to keep up with 2 guns being presented to someone whom is attacking you that may have you knocked down or have your back. I figured I'd try 2 G26's for poops-n-giggles in various positions with various holsters......still a big negatory. I've come to terms with being confortable carrying one gun and one mag for reload pending on the days activities. The mag stays the same, a G19 but no matter weather I'm carrying the G19 or the G26, the holster presentation is the same as will be the reload. Some say having faith in your main gun is silly as it could jam or not fire for some odd reason so you'll always need a back up. Well, IMO, I carry a weapon that has been proven reliable (as many of us do) so I tend to have to have faith in the firearm to work the first time and every time. We all keep up with regular maintence of cleanning or changing out springs so why worry about your personal defense gun not working?? That's the sole reason many of us carry what we do....we know they work. Still, to each his own to what he feels confortable with.......
  8. The "gun guy" says this quote is the sad thruth for many of us though we still love our women........
  9. Yeaaaa....he's back!! Wait a minute.......do we truely want that?? Guess the people you've touched in life need you to complete the circle....
  10. Daniel, I appreciate your acceptance of being "ill-willed" twards certain members. I'm sure it was a humbling experiance. This is a great place to gain knowledge and socialize with fellow friends. Your public apology is accepted and appreciated. Thank you.

    Ejection, normal?

All my Glocks (9 and 40) eject approx. 2 to 3 ft before falling to the ground. At indoor ranges, it is common to have the person next to you eject their brass into your lane pending the height of the dividers. I've had mine hit the dividers then hit me in the head or shoulders. I've seen some people's brass eject directly up and hit them in the face. I've also seen brass ejected in-front of the person firing....of course that turned out to be a loose ejector on a Taurus.... Don't think you were doing anything wrong...sometimes it happens. I'm glad the fellow shooter was curtious about the situation vs. being a bung-hole about it. I've had people gripe at me for ejecting my brass in their lane....usually if their a butt about it, I'll load up the the mag and purposly fire fast until dry sending 15+ rounds in their lane in under 5 seconds. Usually that aggrivates them enough to leave. When at a range, it's not only good to be safe, but being polite and understanding about situations like this is what it's all about....you may even find a new friend by being polite....
  12. I will plan on attending as I haven't been to a TGO gathering since last year.
  13. Here's an issue you may have not noticed or thought about. So you hear the dog bark and you go peeking through the windows......well, as you said, someone can throw a brick through the window. Ever think about someone doing that while you're peeking through said window?? Now your hurt or worse, knocked out. Ever thinkg that someone could shoot you while you're looking out that window?? Maybe even use a crossbow to take you out while your peeking. Yes, it's highly unlikley but these days the bad guys will do anything and everything to get what they want...... Now, i have a dog as most of us do. A big dog. If the dog barks inside the house at night, the "plan" automatically goes into effect. It is absolute defense mode....not go see what made the noise mode. I would rather lie in wait for someone to break in while calling 911 than run to see what's going on. I've got the inside covered and the police should have the outside covered when they arrive. On a different note, when I wake up, First thing I do is grab my gun and holster go into bathroom for shower time. When I dress, the gun goes on and DOES NOT come off for any reason until I go to bed. No more lounging around the house in PJ's chillaxin and watching TV. This can help address the issues of not being able to get to a gun in a bust-in situation. My holster is an IWB not OWB....I feel this is important because IF you get "caught" or surrounded, it is less likley for the bad guys to see your gun...which may give you some advantage.... Just my .02....
  14. I'd have to go with rubber....seem to get the best sweat equity out of 'em........
  15. Nothing wrong with your MAK.......It's not about how much you can spend, it's about how reliable it is and how accuratly you can shoot. I have an AK, not an AR because I choose not to pay to play....
  16. You obviously haven't worked to hard in your life time....you have very clean girly hands, and is that a leather shirt cuff I see??. No offense....... Does the cemetary have any old war vets burried there?? Wondering if a 21 gun salute used real bullets at one time.....possible?? Maybe. Then again, so is the swamp monster per the Discovery channel......take it to a gun/balistic historian and see if they may be able to help you out....
  17. G-L-O-C-K Come on, some one had to say it......... One of the reasons I don't hit many gun shows or store fronts, is because I always walk away with something. The wife has stated her peace on the subject so since i tell her to stay out of clothing stores, she tells me to stay outa gun shops... Nice collection of XD's.........OhShoot is very happy you went with the "other" dark side.......

    MGI firearms

Interesting concept....still would rather have a dedicated caliber weapon though. Cuoldn't imagine having to carry around extra barrels, mags n lowers.....just to change out calibers......and with the price points, you might as well buy a complete rifle in the caliber you want....seems to be cheaper that way.

    Hiking Pistola?

My mother-inlaw has been with the Boy Scouts (Oak Ridge Chapter Order of the Arrow) since her son was 5yrs old (he's now 32). Every adult when on Scout trips usually has some type of weapon on them at all times and most of them are legal for CCW. The others have thier favorite rifles handy along with a pellet/BB gun or two. There have been to many instances with hogs n bears getting near camp sites looking for an easy meal. While sometimes your general firecrackers (m-80's/blackcats) do scare some critters away (raccoons, snakes etc) none of the adults are going to allow anything to happen to the kids when something bigger comes. If I had a child in the scouts going on camping trips, I would definatly be asking who has a weapon and who has been trained....that would be the person I'd tell my child to stay near...... So in general....most of them know about the rule, however, many of them don't care about it because the lives of the children are waaaay more important than some silly sentence in a book. If it was at a big Jamboree get together...things are a little different and most leave wepons in heir vehicles but if it's in the woods....you can count on most of the adults being able to take care of a situation to keep the kids safe...

    Hiking Pistola?

I would usually carry my G26/G19 with a back up mag....just like I would everywhere else. Like some have already said, it's not the animals/critters you usually have to worry about........however if I do plan to go off the beaten path into "no mans" land, I will upgrade to a .357 for sheer penetration. I only worry about black bears or wild hogs/boars.....
  21. I"m pretty sure you can purchase a "unbent" stamped receiver and the jigs needed along with purchasing the parts needed to build one prettly easily as if you were building an AR. It's all about parts. Now if your wanting to build the receiver yourself....that's a different ball game......
  22. I kinda agree along with having the satisfaction that you did it yourself.
  23. If you could change the butstock, I'd have one. Looks pretty neat.
  24. I have a metal one on my Mossy......I like it though it really serves no purpose for me as I've yet to touch that end of the gun......
  25. Very nice piece..........would love to have one but will never WANT to afford something that nice.
