  1. Rain, rain, go away....It's time for us to shoot today!!
  2. That's pretty cool. Definatly like the way you're going with that....
  3. No matter what we say it'll all be a matter of opinion. If YOU think it's worth $950, then get it. Personally I wouldn't pay more than $700 for one. They are nice and do shoot great but they aren't worth their price for me.
  4. Just.....wow......if only this were the true ammo the AK47's were built for.......
  5. That's a real cool thing to do David.....not many store fronts would worry about 1 customer who had a bad expierance.
  6. That looks great....
  7. Yes to be able to put the nutplate in the inside. I have the forward grip on mine and I put it on and tightened it (loctite) BEFORE I even put the handguard on the rifle. I played with various slots until I decided where it was most usefull. You can make a home made "device" to assist you in the removal of the handguards or you can buy one of course...You tube it....
  8. Not good. My sisters husband swears by that place though he's only been in there a few times. I understand not hassling the customer about a purchase or gettin' in their buisness but a few words to help the customer know that questions can and will be answered can work wonders. Sorry to hear about the bad news....I know you were looking forward to one...
  9. This is why you carry the weapon on you and why you have a chain or something else on the door to "help" prevent someone from entering while answering the door....
  10. Try contacting Spirit themselves....WSI is just a vendor for the uppers. Mine was at the FFL's in about 3 days.........I have no complaints.

    Bought a Draco

There's nothing you can do with the Tec-9. Just hope it'll shoot and function when you pull the trigger. Draco....not muchyou can do to it unless you want a railed forend or unless it has a AK rail on the side for a mount. Adding optics is about your only recourse. No stocks, no foregrips unless you file the proper paperwork with the Feds.
  12. Just pay attention to this section. Many of us get together through out E TN for meet n greet n shoots'........Norris isn't far from you and I would highly recomend trying to catch the "Usual Suspects" there as they are always a hoot to shoot......with.
  13. Yes, for $299 it does include the bolt and carrier. This has been in another thread already and verified. So no, no need to buy and extra bolt and carrier. I'll post pics when mine arrives. I'll have my $450 AR at the Blount County meet March 17th if anyone wants to shoot it. Just bring your ammo and wear it out....I don't care. It's not like I don't have another AR.
  14. Here's your basic complete upper for$ 299.00 http://www.yourshopp...ial=true&priv=1 Here's your complete lower for $99.99 http://www.joebobout...ode=NFA-LW15BLK Complete first AR for around $450 total even after paying for the transfer fee for the lower. If you really want a CHEAP AR...this is the way to go. You'll still need to buy a rear BUIS but other than ammo and a few mags but it's cheap and a great starter AR. Yes I have the lower and the upper is being shipped to me right now. No issues with the lower and shouldn't have any issues with the upper either.....and still cheaper than the S&W sport
  15. No complaints here....ordered a bunch of stuff over the years...
  16. Yup....I've put about 300 rounds through it so far with about 75 or so this weekend at Norris. Dolomite fiddled with the poly trigger in it a bit and definatly inproved the smoothness and break of it. I really like it. No issues with it. I can't say that you should take this into combat but if you're looking for a cheap reliable lower, this is a great one to start with. Add one of the 299.99 Spirit uppers to it (http://www.yourshoppingnetwork.com/shop/product_view.asp?storeID=9BC4DA58EBAF47559808DB3958C65556&pr=82406&special=true&priv=1) and you have an ubber cheap plinking AR that'll be a great introduction to the BlackRifle world......I have already ordered one of the uppers to play with as well. I'll be at the Blount County shoot on March 17th if anyone wants to play with it and shoot it. Just bring your own ammo and I'll let you wear it out.....
  17. For anyone itching to shoot, I think I'll be heading to Norris around 11ish (if it didn't get destroyed). I just can't wait another 2 weeks for some trigger time. Anyone in?
  18. Dagnabit.....I guess I'm going to have to hit Norris tomorrow for a few hours then. See ya'll on the 17th...
  19. ...................and exit stage left................. No finger on trigger = no butt shot
  20. One gun I COULD shoot..........hmmm, maybe a M134 Minigun ...... My target would be anything in from of me..... My training skill would consist of index finger excersies and the "sweeping" motion from left to right with the M134.......
  21. It'd more than likley have to be Saturday morning...the storms are supposed to roll through Friday evening/night.....Could cause tree or other damage to the property not allowing us to shoot even if it is sunny....
  22. I'm in either way........just about any date. I'm more than likely going to be in a 4wd truck and I'm sure a few other will to so at least one of us can carry the steel plates and targets and possibly everyones gun bags and drive the equiptment down and back up if the land owner doesn't mind while the others walk if you think it'll be possible for one to make it back up the "steep" hill. As you described the hill, it would be a bit rough to walk in the dry with my HEAVY weighted rifle bag and other gear...
  23. ........and almost a year and 1/2 later this thread lives!!!! Well since the last time I posted, I've done much better than what I posted prior. Longest shot was last summer at 125yrds with a tricked out G17 shooting bowling pins. Took 14 shots to knock down 5 pins..........with a few tries I can knock down a bowling pin at 60 yards with my G26.....
  24. Ok, say a storm blows through pretty rough on Friday night......is this the type of area that will flood or be marsh like or would this be a solid area that drains well?? What about the trail to the area we'd be shooting at? I'm asking because not only am I itchin to shoot but I'm not afraid to don my boots and track through a bit of mud to do the shootin as long as it ain't raining in general. I've done worse hunting like others have. I also know that some people won't be up for something like that......
