  1. 97% of the time it's my Gen 4 G26 carried IWB in a CompTac MTAC....1 extra G19 mag, flashlight and knife 2% of the time it's my Gen 3 G19 carried in the same IWB MTAC....1 extra G19 mag, flashlight and knife 1% of the time I'm attempting to try carrying something new.....ie. yesterday I tried carrying a Ruger LC9......with my G26, 1 extra G19mag, flashlight and knife.
  2. I'd like to think a cheap .223 bolt gun would be my next choice....very flexible power in the rifle and caliber.......
  3. ......how about for ALL of his projects.....
  4. Carpenter bees will chew through treated lumber just the same. They actually pefer my treated wood vs. my (burning) wood pile or the tons of dead trees that have dropped in the forest. Those dropped trees are for hornets or regular honey bees. I take some RTV and plug the holes...don't care if they are in there or not. Only 2 that I know of chewed a solid hole through a 2x4 after I plugged it with the RTV. Most just die from the fumes. I have seen these holes chewed right beside each other as well. Like 4 holes right next to each other in a line....same bee or different ones? If the bees are flying low twards the ground, I'll take my pop-shots at'em with the pellet gun if I'm bored but I usually just wait till they land somewhere and then spray them with Kroil. They die rather quickly.
  5. Very......interesting. Not my cup of tea but I'd sure love to shoot it. Have to hold it with both hands though weighing that much......my wrists aren't what they used to be....
  6. That is the ultimate Zombie Thump Stick. That "could" be feesable with many of the poly pistols out.......think of the Glock plug for the shoulder stock....could work.
  7. I've got a circa 1913ish Walther Model 5 in 90% shape. Used to be my grandfathers and has been passed down for for years though the men in the family. It was fired in late 02' after I had a "smith" go over it for my father and deeming it safe for firing and now, since it's mine I want to shoot it again. The only thing keeping it from firing again is the barell bushing that has apperantly been misplaced or lost. I've searched the net with 30 or so emails, been on the Walther forums with those guys trying to point me in the direction of one and 3 weeks, 35 or so phone calles and 20 or so emails, I'm still empty handed. The closest I have gotten so far is from Earl's Repair Service, Inc. They replied: Dear Sir, We represent Carl Walther GmbH directly from Germany. We have all spare parts / pistols as you can see and order on our website: www.carlwalther.com or give us a call. All of our products come from Germany, and yes we normally have everything in stock. The Factory 100% German Walther Modell 5 spare part (barrel bushing) is out of stock. Sorry. Sincerely, Earl Earl J. Depends on the manufacture. My only hope is finding a used one somewhere.........so does anyone have any ideas?? Anyone here know a guy who might know a guy who may have one they would sell? I'm prepared to scour the ends of the earth for this item as I'd love to pass it on to my kids some day in perfect working order. I would even be willing to "compensate" someone for their time searching or helping me locate one
  8. A good belt helps you wear any type of clothing. A good holster should keep your gun hidden. Most people aren't watching you as you think. Yes there are "people watchers" and "grandmaws" looking for thugs and what not but if you don't present yourself that way, you won't get a second glance. Holsters aren't made for you, their made for everyone. With everyone being different, what works for others won't work for you but it doesn't hurt to try since you want the most comfortability you can get. I carry an extra mag on me at all times and have 2 loaded mags with a box of 50rnds in the vehicle...in case you are fighting your way back to your vehicle, you can reload once you are there while trying to continue to get away. Practice your draw (dry without ammo of course) at home often. That way you aren't fumbling for it when you need it. If you decide to carry a spare mag, do dry mag drills to ensure you're ability to change out mags quickly. Always reholster slow and deliberate vs. fast and careless. Practive your "draw and fire" as you can at the range........
  9. I see everyone states that carrying SOB has caused issues when falling on your pistol in that position. Really?? No matter where you carry, you run the risk of getting hurt when falling on your pistol no matter where it is. If you carry at 3 Oclock and fall on your side, your pistol could easily break your ribs. Carry at the 5ish position like me, and you risk the gun smackin your kidney's. No matter where you fall, IF you fall on your gun you could get hurt. Nuff said. Now.....I find the 5ish position to be the best for me and my set up. (G26 in IWB MTAC) No issues with all daily life and daily life activities. Much better position for me than all others for carry.
  10. I'd say it'd be a perfect "beginner" rifle. Get this now while you can at that price. You can then buy better at a later date IF you do deem the need to. Price IS a major factor in buying an AR.....
  11. I just can't help it.....the red highlighted part made me absolutly crack up.....
  12. ......some friends named my G26 "Sissy"....... most of them carry nothing less than a .45\10mm, go figure.
  13. ^^ Those pictures also don't show those houses being on much higher ground than we were.....we had to trek some pretty steep ground to get in and out of that place.....

    Bullpup 870!

Wow....kinda neat. I've always wanted to shoot a bullpup shotty.......wonder if they tamed the recoil any?
  15. They've been going down hill since I was in Alcoa high school in the early 90's. Alcoa was the first, Murvill was next on the list and now BCSD has finally hit it's lows. When BCSD finally got their new jail, it was all over for Blount County residence.....which is why I moved.
  16. I see a few people got the pleasure of having their picture taken when they were shootin' the saiga. My pleasure to bring it out. Been a while since I have shot it and I'm glad everyone had their turn on it.....FYI, still thinkin on sellin it if anyone may be interested
  17. Next time just bungee a tarp over your "tools" in the back.....mine enjoyed the shower.
  18. Ammo and can is mine. Didn't know if I left it in the truck or by my car in the grass. I work at the airport so we'll figure something out about getting it back to me. Thanks again for getting this all worked out, it was great so see some of you guys again, great to meet new faces and pretty damn cool when you get to shoot with and see an old best friend after 15 years or so....
  19. Looks like the rain will be cleared out soon. Should be good to go by noon........Be there around then.
  20. I believe around 11ish....some will be there earlier, some later. Come when you can cause we'll be there for a few hours. I appreciate the hospitality Dubbs....
  21. Glock 26 fo' life!!! Seriously.....I'm pretty sure my G26 will be with me until I die.....it is the perfect blend of firepower, wieght and concealment all wrapped up tightly in a handy dandy plastic carrying case.
  22. The one I had came in as a trade and was abused. Looked like it had hung out in an old tool shed or a glove box. Never had an issue with it and I put about 300 rnds through it before I traded it away.....I like'em.

    Accuracy?

Most guns are accurate as is from the factory....far more accurate than the people using them. However, most people who talk about accuracy are speaking for themselves shooting the pistol. If they can produce thier version of an awsome "grouping" they state the gun is accurate.
  24. Uuum...your link was for Sunday the 18th.......here's Saturday....it looks like it's going to be another "play it by ear" and see what Saturday morning holds.... http://www.weather.com/weather/wxdetail/37801?dayNum=3
  25. Someone can get you there, you know that. Count me in......got Pops the watch the little one so I can come out and play.
