  1. That's pretty cool.........but not needed. Maybe the weight isn't as bad as I think it would be but it looks like it's 2 to 3 lbs heavier than most basic production rifles. Double tap or not, you'll always have the argument of One shot, One kill vs. the Double Tap
  2. ......also posted this in the Frontier thread...... .......why haven't you consider the Frontier poly lower? Especially since you had seen mine and tweaked the trigger.......The lower is sitting in the closet if you want to "borrow" it for the weight comparison thing, especially since it's a complete lower. It's not doing anthing but waiting on me to get off my butt and get it another Upper, that ain't happenin' anytime to soon. If you want it, holler at me.
  3. I like my Frontier poly lower. o Dolomite.......why haven't you consider the Frontier poly lower? Especially since you had seen mine and tweaked the trigger.......The lower is sitting in the closet if you want to "borrow" it for the weight comparison thing, especially since it's a complete lower. It's not doing anthing but waiting on me to get off my butt and get it another Upper, that ain't happenin' anytime to soon. If you want it, holler at me.
  4. Go get your G19....it's what you want right?? I've already got one so I know how cool they are......
  5. Dude...chill. I was joshin' with the masses here....I absolutly believe cottonmouths can be found anywhere. It's why I put this in my response.... Snakes are snakes and people should be aware....simple as that. Don't matter where you are, a snake is more than likley near by.....geeze.
  6. Critters, animals, snakes, bugs...whatever will always migrate somewhere, anywhere they see fit. I definatly say that the possibility of seeing a cotton mouth in E, W, N or S TN is absolutly possible yet as of right now it is "undocumented" by TWRA or other agencies. I also believe that there are some type of large harry beast or man or monkey/gorillas that walk around the woods all over the U.S.....what they are who knows, but there has to be something everyone has been seeing. Just saying, these days anything is possible and everyone should be open up to the possibility of regional animals or mamals moving from their "teritory" into ours.
  7. I have one on me at all times....however, there is a "spare" in the glove box. There have been a time or two when I all but completely forgot my gun and was thankfull I had a "spare" in the glove box. I'm not saying go buy a $1k 1911 and stick in there but something inexpensive could be worth it. A Kel-tec maybe or the likes of a Bersa. Sure, if someone breaks into your car, they now have a gun...unless you lock it in a lockbox in your vehicle of which some people do. I'm also not saying to keep it in there all the time as that is just as stupid... There are pro's and con's......still think it's better to have one than to not. Besides, there has never been a vehicle broken into at my work so I have to issues with keeping one in my car while at work...your work may vary but not many people have their cars broken into at work.
  8. Private use as in public "Membership w/ fee" private or "Friends and family" private?? Are you going to make this a buisness or accept cash for usage or allow those of you choice free shooting?? A "buisness" changes things vs. just letting your buddies come out and shoot.....
  9. Dogs are good.....MmmK.
  10. Interesting knowledge to keep in mind. I have always used/bought factory loads for SD/HD unless I buy "reloaded" from someone like GeorgiaArms which is usually just range rounds anyways.
  11. But they have a production TI .308 priced at......................$50k.....still not interested??
  12. How about the Titanium .308 AR for $100,000?? http://nemoarms.com/worlds-titanium-ar-308-rifle-by-nemo-arms-100000/
  13. .....and the best offense is a good defense....or is it the other way around?? Truthfully, once someone has entered your house unlawfully, not only did they "decide" the "game" but they started the "game". Each one of us will attempt to end the "game" with our lives intact. How we do it will vary to the situation. It is my duty as a father to seek the intruder out and end his life if needed, not let him get near the daughter or wait for him to leave. The wife's duty is to call the cops and provide a defensive back up. Plain and simple. It's what the layout of our house dictates.
  14. My wife said she'd kill me if I brought home a pink AR. She doesn't believe in girly lookin' guns. She's not fond of the pink Cricket .22lr I have stashed for the little girl either but we both know she'll absoutly love it.
  15. This ^^^ without a doubt, not being stupid can save one a ton of hassle and injury.
  16. After having a .308 Saiga with a POSP scope (which Peejman and fellow TGO members shot) , and now owning an AR, I can honestly say that the AR is lighter and shoots better than the Saiga and costs less to feed. Premium ammo for the .308 is definatly costly and doesn't do much better than the steel cased cheap stuff out of the Saiga. However the 5.56 premium stuff can still be costly but you KNOW from years of data what it has the capability of doing out of an AR platform. Yes there is data on the .308 round but not much from a 16in Saiga .308. There still could be unknowns from an AK platform. I absolutly loved my Saiga but it was an unconventional heavy weapon with expensive mags and ammo. It would a killer gun to "dig in" with but not if you had to run. If you want a .308, get one in "AR" or "bolt" flavor and leave the Saiga till next time Just my .02
  17. I have a firearm on me at all times (cept when sleepin). Wife has hers when shes out or at home alone. Number one priority is the childs saftey. The wife knows what to do pending the locations we frequent in everyday life. We've got our "home" saftey plans and we have our public saftey plans which work for us. My daughter isn't old enough to understand "code" in any langue. My wife....well somethimes she has trouble just speaking. No code words are used at anytime. Don't think we'd need them as of right now. Code words will never work for my family.
  18. I do what I can.....
  19. I personally like Glocks over the M&P so of course you came out far better......
  20. Loose a fishing lure..........or a gun + maybe your life. Hmmm that's a no brainer for me. Unfortunatly society has burdened me with not trusting ANYONE these days. Friends and family yes, complete strangers, OH HELL NO!!

    What's the Law ?

Hunting "improperly" or illegally can still definatly be counted as an unlawful discharge or reckless endangerment of/with a gun amongst other things, which can lead to felony charges. So in other words, no you can't hunt in your living room.
  22. Benefactor membership is well worth the price. Use it once or 50 times and you'll always get the best prices on stuff and get what you want out of what your selling. Don't forget about the ability to trade for another firearms you might like better. i've certainly done that 20 or so times just to try something different. It's really worth it and I think you should give it a go. You might be surprised.
  23. ....and yes, definalty over the Mini for me!!
  24. As Dolomite said, OhShoot has boasted his seceret love for AR's. Even has a second stashed. Said he just plain shot better with it. Nothing against the Mini, but I didn't like any of the 5 or 6 I've shot in the past. Never tried for accuracy but the few I've shot made me not care to get one. AR's on the other hand, well, I'm on my first one and it's taken some getting used to. I came from a long AK history and since diving into the AR world, so far so good. Dolomite tweaked my AR and now it has to be my favorite rifle to date.
  25. Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience!
