I could have swore Ted Nugent had something like this.........

My friends usually carry OC in a thigh holster on one side and a small Med pack on the other thigh. Keeps more options open for extras in the pack. ME personally, I've always carried the same no matter what I'm doing IWB. Doesn't affect me nor my pack. I do have good access with minimal movement of the pack.....more like a shift of the pack to get normal full access. For most, it's what's confortable and gives you full access. Don't worry about the "affected mass" of idiots who see you carrying. So what if they call the Rangers. Your legal and you'll be on your way shortly. Hike your hike and have fun and be safe.....carrying while hikeing is a tad bit more about saftey vs. access. Keep that thing in a good holster (strapped if possible) to keep it from falling out while jumping over streems and rocks and what not. Buddy lost a .38 snub somewhere on Clingmans Dome. Hopped a rock and it fell...some where.

The wedding set I've seen had 5 .22mags coupled together with diamonds in the center. Other diamonds surrounding the bigger ones in the center. Still could make out they were .22mags. The Grooms was a .44 with a single diamond in the center. Think they were at a gun show in Nashvegas a few years back. Had matching bracelets and necklas as well...

Looks like good choices on your AK items. No it does not appear that your barrel is threaded. I've already been down this road, it was fun. Instead of letting some one else do this...have them guide you. It's really easy and fun. Do it once and you can build just about all AKs'

RRA Heavy Trigger - How to Improve?
kwe45919 replied to lshel's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Buy one of Dolo's trigger kits...well worth it. -
The black coating is Lubalox, which Winchester still uses on their SXZ line of ammo for Bass Pro. I actually still carry some Black Talons in my M&P along with some Ranger Ts.
That is correct. It is a Lubalox coating. More or less an Oxide process that gives it the "gray/black" look. I still have a box of the 147gr 9mm. Had it for 7 or so years. Yes the Rangers are the same thing and work the same way. Nothing special about them other than the nastalgia of what people use to think they were. I wouldn't pay over $250 for the 500 rounds....who ever pays 1K for them is purely crazy.

I'd call the local authorities........I'd try to do the right thing first.............then I'd get medevil on their butts. Things would get fun for me and ugly for them.

Hmmm...gona have to look into one of these selects as well. For "around the house", these really can't be beat. Still, gona have to save up for a real light for the AR...

Poll - On your carry gun; Safety or no Safety?
kwe45919 replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Carried Glocks for 7 to 8 years now....tried saftey's and fumbled with them to much. I'm not a professional[sup] [/sup]nor to I posses skills to accuratly drive pure muscle memory out of my butt to defend myself. I swear to God I'd "Barney Fife" the friggin' gun if it had an external saftey to deal with now. Like revolvers, I want to draw, point and shoot quickly. I can do that with Glocks and others like them. Any saftey levered gun I've owned in the past years have always ended up as range guns. Don't recall even trying to carry one.....ever since I started with my first Glock, I've never looked back. -
Please elaborate; I ask, because everyone that likes Glocks seems to think the G19 is THE perfect 9mm... and the dimensions of the G36 are identical. (I say "identical," because they both snap into the same inflexible Kydex holster in the same way. If they weren't the same size, that wouldn't happen.)
I'm a Glock guy. The G26 is my EDC. Suits me just fine. Have a coupla G19's in the house. Suits me just fine. Shot a few XD's and didn't like them. Never cared for the XD's at all really. I've held the new XDS and was simply amazed at how comfortable it felt and how compact it "seemed" compared with my G26 I carry every day. Slim with a nice ballance. Now, I haven't shot one yet but not liking anything XD in the past, I must say that some people will grip it and say wow, this isn't that bad. It really is a "different" feel to it than many sub compact .45's of course the feel with the mag loaded may be different and the feel while shooting may be different. Just picking it up and holding it (being a 9mm G26 guy) has my interest sparked enough to seek one to shoot. If the gun shoots like it feels to me.....I may have just found the first XD I've ever bought for my "truck/camping/hiking" excursions.

Does Your Polling Site Have No Guns Signs
kwe45919 replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Elementary School..........I voted........I'm sure it was posted....I'm sure I didn't pay attention if it was as I was there with tons of other people, some looking like bums, others looking like thugs......Everyone should carry when around people like that.....never know who's thinkin' evil thoughts. -
HOLY $H!T.....this guy knows all about me!! TOO CREEPY!!!! Ahahahahahahahhhaa.....

My wife's had one on her "nightstand" glock for a while. She wanted a light she could use and that was bright. This fit the bill perfectly. I've taken her G19 up to Norris with the light on and I know I've shot at least 400rnds through it with the light on and no issues yet. Hasn't come loose nor has it been affected by the recoil. Seems to be a good quality low budget light for handgun rails. This gun light suprisied me as much as the Coastal LED Lenser tac-light did. Bright beam, great flood and distance.....both waterproof and shock proof. For the most part, these items would be great for the budget minded when lookin for a handheld or gun mounted light.

Did you pick it up locally or did you find a deal on line somewhere?

Sa-weet. Bet it traps oders as well....

That's the thought I was mulling over in my head. Pistol it until the paperwork comes back then SBR it if I don't like the pistol part. 'That was the thread I was readin' which gave me the big idea of building one.

I'm seriously thinking on building a 9mm AR pistol that uses Glock mags. It'll be the first AR pistol I've toyed wtih. I suppose I need to research more but as I was looking at a thread in the rifle section I just got to thinkin' why hasn't anyone wanted to do this? Is it a novelty only thing or are there people out there that build AR's in pistol calibers as long as it fits in a Glock Mag. Got me thinkin' even more about "for poops n giggles" about an AR in 10mm that takes Glock mags. With all this sillyness floating through my brain I came up with the silly determination to see this project through. All my Glocks in the house are 9mm. I have an AR. Seems fitting to add an AR pistol to the family. Anyone have any knowledge or tips they could pass on because they've built the 9mm AR pistol vs the rifle? I'd imagine they'd be just about the same to build, just different parts in different places.

Try green dot up front and yellow in back. Green is easier to pick up farther aways and the yellows being easier to pick up closer to your eyes. At least thats how the sights tend to work for me. The wife pefers her green front/orange rear......I like the green front/yellow rear or just a 3 dot green for general carry purposes. TrueGlo TFO's tend to be the way to go but the new Pro I-dot's are very tempting to try on my G19.

Caster.....I think the real answer here is for you to just go shootin' again with the new Glock. Seriously, get more trigger time behind it before you start thinking you'll need anything for it. The solid guide rods will do nothing to improve your shootin abilities or skills. The trigger is totally up to you....way more of a preference actually. I've had the "NY trigger" and the light triggers and the adjustableskeletonizied trigger and find that I actually pefer the stock trigger as is with the ".25" trigger job. But that's me. Unless it's a competetion Glock OR you just want to play with one, stick with the factory stuff. I've continued to return to Glocks for a reason as they simply work better for me. Play with it as is and decide if you even care to mess with anything. Been wanting to see and feel the stipple stuff and check out the undercut trigger guards and see if they are for me. I absoutly love the feel of the my Gen 4 G26 and it makes my 3rdGen G19 fell "slicker" which is why I'm starting to get more courious.

I'm your huckleberry!!....and your long lost son. Could you buy me a few rifles to go along with those mags too dad? That'd be cooooool Trust me, for that price on that many, even the bad guys don't care which color gun they're used in.
-
Did you say G18?? Oh my bad....you said 2 THEN 18.......I could have swore I saw G18. That's my DREAM gun.

No, they'll move her else where they think she is safe. Her parents will not change. If the girl is of legal age, she needs to do it on her own without fear of her parents.

Aint no doubt, like many I've have tried the rest. I really hoped the M&P's would have taken me off my Glock fetish but still to date, there's not a modern pistol out there I can shoot and use easier than the Glock brand. Caliber doesn't really matter though I'd rather have a 1911 than a Glock in .45. I have many Glocks I have many mags for my Glocks I have much ammo for my mags for my Glocks. I am happily addicted.
