2nd day of HCP carry incidents (paranoia?)
kwe45919 replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Time to chill and take a deep breath. Go about your day as normal and the tingling sensation will subside. Nothing going on unusual but stay observant. -
Anyone intrested in a shoot? *Poll added, please vote

I'd still like to attend and am planning to as of right now. The meetin' place at Food City is maybe minutes away. Love to see some of you guys again..it's been a while. -
Home made body armor, amazing

My head hurts after reading that. You're just to smart for your own good. :pleased: -
Awsome. Can't wait to get my little girl goin. She's played with the pellet rifle but still doesn't like the loud booms at the range. I need to find some private property to take her to.

This sounds interesting. Definatly wouldn't mind to try to make it to one of them. Be good to see Dolo and a few of the other again. -
Congrats on not letting the accident take away pride and dignity. Keep up the great attitude and I wish you a fast recovery after your next sugery..

Good lord. What a silly way to get the guns changed in the department. Figured the officers would have stepped up by now and stated publicly that the Glocks were failing if things were so bad.....
-
For those who expect to shoot 1000rnds in one setting and be sloppy when cleanning the factory barrel.....well, that's when they get problems with shooting lead.
-
I would definatly advise agains harsh cleaners or solevents. I didn't have any issues but then again I'm not a messy cleaner either. I use cotton swabs for just about all lowers.....

Get a Loan Wolf replacement for around $120 shipped to your door. I have one for my wifes G19C. Had it round 6 or 7 years. Shot around 1000rnds of god knows everything through it with no issues. Good accurate barrels. Factory barrels run around $100 or so as far as "GlockTalk" and other forums are concerned.....

This is my old G23 I had and sold on here a while back. It was hydro dipped. I can't say the finish would hold up to decent use and abuse but for a range queen or occasional use the G23 did fine. No matter leather or kydex for a holster it didn't affect the finish the few times it went in one. I still wouldn't recomend Hydro Dipping on a EDC or "work" weapon.

Bought a few thing from them over the years with no issues at all. Shouldn't have any issues with them at all.
-
I ordered 5 G17 mags at $22ea from them a few days ago. I have 30 days to contest the charge on my credit card.
-
Truthfully, it seems my carry gun gets less and less attention the more I carry it. I shoot what's in the mag, change mags, refresh the ammo and clean the weapon. I mean....it's a G26, what else it there to do with one? When I'm at the range I usually shoot everything but my carry gun considering they are supposed to be my "fun" guns.

All I got is a 76' F150 2wd. It's been tons of places and winched out of a few. I've even been winched up a rock cliff. Rebuilding the motor right now but should be ready by march or so. As long as someone has a winch, I shouldn't get stuck.

I'm up for a subzero meet n greet. Love to see steam flo off the old barrels....

Double Quote!!! I happen to have 3 Glocks in the house.....waiting on a special deal on the 4th.

They're great guns for around $400. The newer models don't have the "pro" on them either. The 2 I've had were awsome.
their show, their rules. They require you to remove your gun, unload it, and let them manhandle it with tie wraps at most shows, that is not legally necessary either. You can still stand outside the show to trade, or set up shop in your car and sell out of the trunk in the parking lot. With your loaded weapon on you. If you do not want to deal with the stupid rules at gun shows, don't.
Really?? WOW. I never new they could do that with what they don't see. I've never been patted down at any gun show.

I've been staring at the pics for a while now. To me it looks like a normal "black" rifle that's been through the mud. I just don't see the green. Don't get me wrong, I like it but I just don't see the green to well. I think a bit more green, both light and dark in long sparse patterns would top it all off with what I see in the photo. Good job.

Carry Permit Course Switching to B-29 Target?
kwe45919 replied to timcar86's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I got to take my target home with me. Don't know why but apparently once the score was written down people started tossing them in the trash. I rolled mine up and walked out the door with it. BTW it was the Knox County Sherrifs Dept who did the course..... -
Nice present to yourself. Now get out there and practice with it. Get night sights for it if that's your thing...get more mags and more ammo.....attempt to wear that thing out and get good with it. Definatly won't hurt it breaking it in with a few hundred rounds.
-
I have tritium nightsights on all my pistols. I have 2 rail lights, one attached to the wife's G19 and one in the safe. I also have hand held lights at the bedside. All of these items can be usefull in different situations. If you can identify your target with a light, can you align your sights with the ambient light? With nightsights, can you identify your target?? This is where you become your own little MythBuster. Get what you can afford and work with it. If you don't like the way things work, get something else and try it. It's all a preference as to what works best for you.

Lets see, I SCUBA, hike, work on my 76' F150, fish and run the Dragon and the mountains all around E.TN. in multiple vehicles and motorcycles.
