  1. I can shoot way better with my G26, than I can with a G19 or a G17. Bigger IS NOT BETTER for everyone. I am just as accurate "at the range" with all three but I am not as accurate with the G19/17 when it comes down to defensive drills and exercises. I end up tossing/dropping the larger guns or getting them caught on something when drawing them from the holster or concealment. The G26 with a 2rnd mag extension feels balanced the best for me out of all three and even with a short sight radius a 50yrd shot is easily possible with it. I can conceal the G19 pretty easy though the G17 usually prints pretty bad. I'm 6ft and 175lbs and seem to be happy in the summer or winter carrying my G26 with absolutely knowing that it is the best pistol for me to carry in most all defensive situations in public. I have never rolled with the idea that bigger is better at all weather its caliber or gun size....it's always what fits, feels and shoots the best for you.
  2. Everyone is different and anyone who's had their wrist or forearm broken and not have it properly set right can have issues with physically getting sights and the gun lined up. Some people can use the grip angle to their advantage while others just cant get used to it. The old saying goes if it don't feel right, it ain't gona shoot right. Can one adapt to a different grip angle and shoot good? Sure but some just can't. Same thing with the trigger issues people say certain guns have or don't have. I personally don't like the triggers on the XD's or the M&P's vs. the Glocks but that's just what works for came. I can still shoot them just fine but I prefer the Glock triggers. (after a .25 cant polish job)   Accuracy....Every pistol is more accurate than we are. It's why they're built. It's why they have "match" grade guns etc. Glocks are just as accurate and any other pistol out there.....it's just the difference in operators of the pistols. There are people who can take a G19 and shoot a mags worth through a quarter size hole and there are others who can barely keep'em all in a 6in hole no matter how hard they try. .
  3. G19.....I was like the 20th owner. No clue on the service of this pistol but it had a hard life before I got it. After convincing my dad to loose the revolver and try a Glock at the range, something broke and binded, locking the slide back. After some disassembly and light pounding the guide rod came out in 3 main pieces and multiple small pieces with a 2 piece recoil spring. Can't say what broke first causing the other to break but like I said, this was a beat up wore out glock. Replaced broken stuff with new factory stuff and she ran like a champ. Sold it on down the road after another few 100rnds through it.   Parts break, plastic or metal, so do what you want but have spare parts available if something does break. That's my advise.
  4. Pics??  Sounds like a great gun for a great price. Sounds like a perfect stow a way piece...
  5. May need get my surgeon ready......I've been waiting to see if I can still function with one kidney and one lung and still hold a rifle.....
  6. A friend at work just ordered one to see what they are all about. Don't think he really likes the pistol or plans on it being a defensive tool but he defiantly wants to see the internals and modifications done to create it. My buddy is a major tinker/fab guy and this pistol intrigues him greatly. I'm sure in the end he will break something and render it all useless but that's what seems to happen when he gets into his tinkering moods.
  7. Like my AR, I have a full spare set of springs and things for my G26/G19. I even have spare barrels....not that I'll ever need them but I have them. Maybe one day I'll find a spare frame as well......everyone should have spare parts for their firearms and know how to change things out. Keeping with Glocks and AR's for me is blindly simple for spare parts and the tools I'd need to fixem with.....easy peasy I tell ya.......
  8. You heard it here folks....the rich guys paying us all to use their guns just so they look cool when they show them off to their friends. I'm not sure if it's brilliant or down right ignorant but I'm in either way. I'd be pretty good at taking other peoples weapons and throwing them baseball style 90mph at a brick wall to simulate a drop from a 2 story building. It'd suite me fine.....     Anyways....to the OP....awesome finds and great prices. My father and others have dropped pieces over the years, it sucks I know.
  9. 12 rounds of 124gr 9mm GoldDot (short barrel) for my G26 with a 15 round back up mag and a KelTec P32 with 7 rounds of hot CorBon have served me quite well for almost 7 years now. I've shot through various barriers (wood, block, brick, sheetrock etc) and into many jugs and books and foods. Even played with ballistic gel a few times. I'm more than confident that I will and can defend my self with the accuracy and dependability of my guns and ammo.   Fact is, most of us can use any of the mentioned calibers in just about any gun and be efficient with a bit of practice but what we are comfortable with is key to using the equipment to its up most potential.
  10. .38......no doubt. Don't never have the desire to go into any woods or trails with anything less than a .38 or 9mm. I'll take a .22 but I always have the larger caliber for those unintentional encounters.
  11. Never had an issue with my Glocks. Them being generally lubed has worked well in PA and Kansas during zero degree temps being out in the cold for extended times. Every shot was cool with the heat off of the barrel.....
  12. I reserve revolvers for possible camping/hikeing trips. I want a large caliber in a wheelgun vs my G26/19. Other than that, it's usually the G26 almost 95% of the time year round. Very rarely I get the hankerin' for a change in weapon when I switch to the G19.
  13. I'd consider another 92 or maybe trying a mini cougar if it had the " made in TN'......
  14. Oh snap...that's my new "screen saver"....that looks awesome....the wood grain looks sweet!! Nice pic.
  15.   I peeked at some of the other videos........man your son is L U C K Y to have a cool dad like you!!!
  16. Nice rifles fellas....
  17. Cool.....I may be able to afford one now....
  18. For pete's sake guys....it's the shotgun that was full auto. Man can't believe you guys missed that part. See the guy testing was about 3ft 4in, weighed about 105lbs and had his back up against the wall. With the shotgun on a rest, when he fired the first shot the recoil kept throwing him against the wall and his fat little fingers got stuck in the trigger guard causing the trigger to be depressed as the gun recoiled shot after shot. By standers heard the automatic machine gun firing and pointed the finger at the small guy that just got manhandled by a shot gun....... :pleased:
  19. Cool little .22.....
  20.   Gotta agree there.......I'm not interested in posting habbits or where I hide stuff.
  21. I've had mine for my G26 for about 10 years now and use my G19 in it as well. Put locktite on the screws and they won't budge. Never had an issue with mine. Works perfect. Slim build at 170lbs and can easily conceal a G17 with it all day long in t-shirt and shorts. I have another new one waiting for this one to start falling apart but that won't happen for a long while.......
  22. Nice haul!! I've not been lucky with estate sales....
  23. Sweet find. I'd like to find one myself as they look pretty cool...
  24. 1st experience was crappy and it was a few weeks after they had opened. My dad and I wanted to shoot and brought all of our stuff along with us including ammo like we always do. Gunny's says no steel case ammo (which is BS) and they wanted to see what we had for ammo. After waiting for 20min to be acknowledged that we were there, they hassled my dad over Wolf ammo that was brass. Told him he couldn't shoot it because Wolf doesn't make brass ammo. Even when we showed him it was true brass 147gr ammo when the guy saw the head stamp of Wolf he said we can't shoot it because it's a steel case not brass. Even the box said brass on it and they didn't want to believe us. Of course they offered their expensive ammo up to replace it. Total crap and hassle from the guys there so we just grabbed our stuff and walked out.     A year or so later we went back. No hassle and used the range. We've been back there a few more times over the years with out any incidents. Still won't buy anything from them except the range time.   Here's a side note for you who don't know, which is more than likely everyone on here.......Gunny's used to be a grocery store called Water's Market. I worked there when I was 16 and used to bag ice in the basement where the range is. The meat department used to be back where the class rooms are in the back and the produce section used to be along the right side of the wall when you walk in.......I still chuckle at the fun I had in that building almost 20yrs ago at the age of 16.........even funnier is when I was 20, I rented the upstairs apartment of the brick house beside Gunny's......lots of history in that area for me. :pleased:   Anyone else possibly work or even been in Waters Market??
