  1. Honest Outlaw's other big gripe was the spacers on the mags that provide a full size grip and keep the mags from being over-inserted. The reason for the spacers being removable is for compatibility with the M&P pistols. Imagine the M&P compact owners cries if the FPC mags didn't work with their pistols.
  2. Thanks Snaveba. Watched that and 4 other video reviews last night. Leaning towards purchasing one after it's been out awhile and getting feedback from owners rather than just reviewers. His gripe about the mag release is a training issue. And on the safety, leave it off when folding the FCP if it's a problem for you as an extra deployment step. He did that once without mentioning it.
  3. BigK, Why? They cut the cable and stole the entire lockbox rather than taking the time to pry it open at the vehicle. Note to self: I do have a lockbox in the car. It's a good idea to take a picture of it cabled in place to prove it's existence should the car ever get broken into and a firearm stolen.
  4. The FCP folding latch is easier to deploy than the Sub 2000. You can just unfold it by friction. But you can move the charging handle to make it easier to unfold. The trigger group isn't made of plastic, so it should not wear out and need replacement like the Sub 2000. Being able to leave the dot sight on it is a big issue for me. Yes, you can buy aftermarket accessories for the Sub 2000. But the last time I checked, it wasn't cheap. As for a rifle caliber, what options fold up into a package this small? It's a minor thing, but I like that Ruger provides a bag that has no branding on it whatsoever. So it's not apparent as to what it contains. Since there is no forward magwell (it's in the grip) to swap out, it would not be easy to make it take other mags. I too have several Glock mags and would like to use them. But that's not a reason for me not to consider the FCP. The FPC comes with 3 mags: One 17-round and (2) 23-round. 63 rounds (plus whatever sidearm you carry) should be enough for most situations. One thing I didn't like is that reassembly after field stripping you need a hammer and a dowel (or non-marring punch) to get the bolt back in place.
  5. Anyone considering getting the new folding 9mm PCC from S&W? https://www.smith-wesson.com/product/fpc From the reviews I've seen so far, it should be a decent backpack or truck gun.
  6. To read a PDF version of the bill on the General Assembly website, click on the title of the bill on the upper-left hand side of the screen right above the sponsors name. It's a hyperlink.
  7. You might want to hold off on that bullet for a bit. This man survived both atomic bombs on Japan: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsutomu_Yamaguchi
  8. Yeah, Family Firearms usually is very competitive on firearms. When you add in they do not charge taxes outside of AL, they are often the best price. The only down side I've seen so far is that if they ship it from the warehouse, and your FFL is a small one (i.e. - home based), then the warehouse will ship it to Family Firearms first so the ship time is longer. So if you are in a hurry pay attention to the dark/light green that shows inventory status.
  9. The Ruger LCR and LCRx 327 are pretty easy to find online right now. Examples: https://www.familyfirearms.com/product/ruger-5452-lcr-327-federal-mag-1.87-6-round-black-hogue-tamer-monogrip-grip-black-matte https://www.familyfirearms.com/product/ruger-5462-lcrx-327-federal-mag-1.87-5-round-black-tamer-monogrip-grip-black-matte Pretty much everything else is sold out or asking ridiculous pricing.
  10. When you filter by 32 H&R Mag there are no results. Out of stock seem to be the norm. Your low-end pricing is more in line with what I guessed ($500-600). Thank you for you help!
  11. ***NOT FOR SALE*** I was talking with one of my good friends on the phone about firearm values and we had a disagreement about the value of a well used Ruger Single Six 32 H&R: Because of the scarcity of new ammo (we could only find Buffalo Bore in 32 H&R), he believes the value is *very* low. Personally, I think he's undervaluing the pistol by at least half if not significantly more. I know that the value will fluctuate based on the buyer. But selling to a private party, what ballpark do you think it's worth?
  12. Watch as when 18-20 year olds can get a carry permit in TN, some other states will not allow reciprocity with TN permits.

  14. Ken, Have you gotten one of the Masada 9S (slim) in your hands yet? My 9S has a better trigger than my Masada. Been waiting (since Nov 20) on the EPS Carry green dot, which is on back order everywhere I looked, to mount on it.
  15. They have other models too: https://www.primaryarms.com/red-dot-sights/with-acss

  17. I switched from red dots to green dots after trying one. But I have to say the gold dot (on the Holosun HE512C-GD) is pretty nice too.
  18. NRL22 has a "Young Guns" division. https://nrl22.org/
  19. No, you can't listen to encrypted channels without the encryption key. Most of what you want to listen to is encrypted: https://www.radioreference.com/db/browse/ctid/2521 https://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Encrypted_Agencies#Tennessee
  20. Looks like a stripped-down version (no replaceable grip or foreend) of the Boyds AT-ONE gunstock. As long as it has the adjustable LOP and comb, that's the major features I'd want from the stock. If you go back to get one, be sure to pay attention to the grip angle. Some people hate vertical grips for the type of shooting they do. If the color (zombie hunter green) doesn't grow on you, a paint job or a sanding and restain can fix that. The short mag in it looks like the 5-round magazine. I'd pickup a couple of the 10-round mags.

  22. As far a I know, the Deltapoint Micro doesn't fit the original poster's Sig P365X. By the way, I have a Deltapoint Micro on my daily carry (Glock 26) and would prefer a Holosun 507K or (even better after comparing the 2 side by side) the 507C.
  23. Very small house originally built in the 1800's here (< 1/4 the size of Alleycat's Home), but my last power bill was $98. All the lights in the house are LEDs and even that minuscule draw is on automation to cut power usage. I replaced the AC window units and floor space heaters with 2 mini-splits (1 is a 220 unit). I could have used a single multi-head unit but wanted redundancy and the smaller 110 unit can be run off my small dual-fuel generator in a pinch. Just installing the mini splits knocked about 1/3 off my power bill. The house is still a work in (very slow) progress. Eventually I'll be replacing the storm doors and windows for better efficiency.
  24. ZeroTech is a subsidiary backed by TSA Outdoors - (Tasco Sales Australia), which has more than 50 years of experience in the optics industry. They partnered with a well-regarded Chinese manufacturer and gave birth to ZeroTech. They are made and imported out of the same Chinese factory as the Burris Signature HD and Bushnell Match-Pro/Bushnell Forge scope lines (Bushnell Forge is very, very similar to Zerotech Trace 4.5-27x50). The company here in TN is likely just the US distributor.
  25. I have one on my carry pistol (Glock 26). I bought the Deltapoint when they were first released:
