    From my admittedly limited experience (I've only fired one of those), That is one of the most inherently accurate handguns Sig ever made. The heel mag release didn't bother me in the least.

Believe it or not a Star PD. Alloy frame, no friggin' grip safety and one of the smoothest single action GM type pistols I've ever shot. PIA because of the proprietary magazines it used and the small plastic guiderod buffer it required about every 1000 rounds...I shot it a lot...and carried it a lot. willis;   Thanks for "doing the work" on this and the update and clarification.   It's good to know that beyond my personal experiences with Benchmade (excellent so far) that they are still (again) adhering to quality standards.   As mentioned in my first post, I am rather fond of my Griptilian...and I have an AFCK I picked up at Gunsite in 1992 that is one heck of a smooth and ergonomic knife as well.   The AFO's look nice btw. Tempting... :pleased:

I just put it in my Amazon "wish list".   I have Stoeger's "Dry-Fire Training: For the Practical Pistol Shooter" and it should arrive tomorrow (it's too friggin cold for my old bones to be outside right now)..."Twilight in America" will be next in line.   I've seen news snippets over the past several years about these camps. It would be foolish to totally dismiss the potentiality of such...not being disrespectful towards anyone with a differing opinion...but these are in fact "interesting times"...

You were indeed fortunate. I have great respect for Tom Givens, and the Tac Conferences, so I am not surprised in any way that they would make that offer. I would be surprised if someone took one of Claude Werner's classes and wanted a refund. :cool:   Michael de Bethencourt is another person I would like to train under. He has done some remarkable course development in knife work and small gun deployment. I can't recall the name of the video, but I watched one of his on knife work that seemed extremely effective and pretty darn brutal...but that would be the "nature of the beast" as they say.

    Mr Werner's snubby class is right at the top of my "Training Wish List".     I hate that the Feb class didn't make, but look forward to what the future brings.

I haven't tried it, but have been following this thread on B.E. for a bit now. They speak favorably of this powder and give some good load development info for 9mm and .40 cal.   8 lbs of powder actually goes pretty darn quickly... :ugh:

I just wanted to give a thumb's up to Benchmade's customer service. :up: I've carried this knife daily for more than a decade. The pocket clip has loosened up from time to time, and I don't know about you guys but I generally don't have a # 6 trox driver on me...so I've tightened them with whatever I've had handy. Well they finally gave up the ghost and stripped out a good bit. I e-mailed Benchmade last week, explained what I had done and asked how to go about purchasing a set of clip replacement screws. I received an e-mail reply within a couple of hours and my free replacement screws arrived today. So while not nearly as nice as the beautiful custom knives I frequently see and admire here, I gotta say I'm pleased with my choice of a Benchmade Griptilian. Just thought I'd let you guys know. And give a shout out for Benchmade while I was at it. :pleased:

This is an incredible opportunity folks.   Dr. Aprill is a remarkable individual with an incredibly analytical mind. Drawing on his fascinating and "interesting" background William is able to share thoughtful insight into the minds of people the majority of the population hope to never encounter. His module on the "De-Selection" process alone is worth the price of admission.   The Weapon Retention and Disarmament module was incredible back when I experienced it in 2005 at the Rangemaster Tac Conference.
