  1. Absolutely. I should have mentioned that in my initial post.
  2. Doing better than I deserve my friend. Looking forward to seeing you guys soon. Proud of the work you guys are doing.
  3. Congrats Randy! Love a 12 g pump. Well done my friend! I bet I know who made that blackjack, Nice!
  4. Thanks @starncannon. I no longer load anything using Large Rifle. But I'm in no rush as I have a comfortable supply of what I do use.
  5. I have a box of 955 Federal Large Rifle primers For TRADE only (Locally West Knoxville). These have been stored indoors, climate control environment. I am asking to trade these 955 Large Rifle primers for 800 Federal, Winchester, CCI, or Remington Small Pistol Primers. Would consider 850 Federal Small Rifle primers. I am not interested in trying any of the new primers on the market. The only other item I might consider for trade is 12 gauge Federal Flite Control 8 pellet Buckshot. I don't need any other ammo. I am trying to be fair in this trade. Face to Face West Knoxville please. These are Not For Sale, only Trade.
  6. Yes Sir. I read way more than I post. Learn a good bit that way LOL
  7. I'm tagging in with interest. I've been following this on another forum where Caleb is a member and has been very responsive to questions. It's not a terribly large carry package for a 6 shot revolver. I carry either a RDS G-17 or G-19... but I enjoy shooting revolvers. I don't want to be a "Beta Tester", but will certainly be watching to see how this pans out. Thank you @TGO David
  8. Welcome @Seanrenshaw. As @TripleGGG mentioned ORSA has a lot to offer. I've been a member since 2006. Windrock Shooting Range in Oliver Springs is another good range to shoot at and offers daily rates as well as an annual membership. https://windrockshootingrange.com/ ORSA requires a membership, but imho is well worth checking into.
  9. Thanks for posting this @deerslayer! Well made video. Memphis Beech seems like a great guy. Chris too. Subscribed! I like this drill, and also the Air Marshall qual. Haven't shot them in several years... Think I know what I'll be shooting on my next range trip.
  10. I have the 590 Shockwave 12 g. As @Garufa said, it's not bad to shoot at all. I've shot standard 00 Buck, Federal H-132 00 Buck (Low recoil), 1 oz slugs, and #7 shot through it so far. Range 7-15 yards. I've only had it out to the range 4 times, so I'm learning how best to run it "for me". It's nowhere close to being as easy to run as my old full size 590...but I'm trying to learn. I have a sling on it and an SOE shotshell strip. I put a healthy amount of athletic tape on the grip. It helps as I shoot it extended and towards center, push-pull type technique. The tape gives me a better grip when working the slide. I am considering putting a Holosun RDS on it. And quite possibly a recoil strap from Demonstrated Concepts. Rhett Neumayer of Demonstrated Concepts has some good videos on Youtube regarding this type of shotgun. Good Luck in your search.
  11. That's an awesome revolver @Spots. Congrats! I've been a reader of Col.Rex Applegate since 1967-68. iirc he knew Fitz and had a Special made. There's a lot of thought and reasoning put into these and they were truly remarkable for their time. A lot of revolver knowledge is sliding into history, sadly. When I lived outside Kansas City back in the 1980's I used to shoot bowling pin matches and befriended a local PD Detective. Great guy and even better shooter. He carried a similar cut down 45 acp revolver in a shoulder rig. Man he was fast on his reloads using full moon clips. Impressed the heck out of this newbie shooter back then. Still does thinking back on it. Thanks for posting the pics! Jamie
  12. Great looking grips and gun @willis68! I just put a set of VZ's on my (new to me) 1984 S&W Model 66 last Friday. Run great with Dry Fire. Too cold for these old bones to shoot 'em this weekend, but plan to run them tomorrow.
  13. Unfortunately this is too true.
  14. As I live alone I have to rely on myself for the whining. I'll admit it sounds more like cursing though...
  15. Power came back on before I finished my second cup. Now I have to reset the friggin clocks on the stove and microwave. Definitely First World problems...
  16. Well at 0655 I've experienced my first blackout of this event. Thankfully my coffee just finished brewing, and I just finished my first cup of said coffee. Have several Streamlight lanterns turned on and a fully charged phone. Guess I'll have another cup of coffee. Life is good. Be safe folks.
  17. Prayers to the family of the victim of this POS. Glad they caught him and hopefully the courts will do their job...
  18. I have 2 of them Erik. They're a great value imho. And they are pretty fuel efficient.
  19. Loosing electricity for a bit was my primary concern. Thankfully that didn't happen. I'm mostly retired (no more Hospital work) so I have the luxury of staying home now. I'm in West Knoxville (Farragut) and we tend to loose power frequently when it snows, but usually only for 4-6 hours. It's 7 degrees outside but looks like we had only scant flurries last night. I ran my little Honda generator a bit last week and topped it off with gas. Just normal maintenance. I have a couple of Big Buddy heaters and had to run one for a few hours with the snow last March. I'd highly recommend them if anyone is interested. I spent several decades weathering storms, ice, snow and hurricanes related to getting to or being at work. My empathy and appreciation to you folks. Merry Christmas to you all!
  20. Canned venison from 2010. I find the wide mouth jars easiest to use for meats...much easier to empty out for use.
  21. Beef tallow Those are , essentially, beef cracklin's in the sink. They made a hearty, but not heart healthy, cornbread.
