Issue with Lonewolf barrel and new lead supplier......
Jamie Jackson replied to a topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I picked up another Lone Wolf barrel about 2 weeks ago...this one for Glock 19. LOL, I had a similar situation as well. My 147 gr LFP work great for the LW barrel in my G 17, but proved too long in OAL for the G 19 barrel. (1.130"). Those suckers are tight! I seated a bit deeper, 1.120", and they work like a charm, and no signs of over pressure. I picked up the G 19 LW barrel as it will run in my G 26 as well. I've run about 50 rounds of my preferred carry ammo (Blackhills 124 gr +P) through the G 17 and they fed 100%. I've only run about 15 rounds through the G 19 barrel...so I need to run several more mags before I would consider carrying it with the LW. But it's great to have lead bullet options. I wholeheartedly agree that the factory could easily rectify this if they choose to. -
I was talking about this with my wife last evening, and a shooting buddy today. What did Rahm say? "Never let a crisis go to waste"? They'll be on this like white on rice...even if you could definitively prove it was nothing used by reloaders and shooters. It doesn't matter a wit to them. They'll twist it and use it to further restrict us if there is any way possible. God...I hope I'm wrong. :ugh:

.22 about to go through the roof????
Jamie Jackson replied to Steelharp's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I agree with frankmako and others, that once this BS settles down, prices will be higher...hell, our dollar is devaluing daily...been to the grocery store lately? But the $180.00?? Don't think so... -
Brad; Welcome aboard. I'm a member at ORSA (and a West Knoxvillian), but with my shift-work, I usually go out on weekdays. There are Matches at ORSA every weekend...and you don't need to be a member to attend...and I'm sure you can get a feel for the facilities and a good look around. Here a couple of links. http://orsaonline.org/ http://orsaap.com/ http://www.orsaidpa.com/

Jamie Jackson replied to a topic in New Member Introductions
Welcome aboard and welcome to Free America...if we can just keep it that way. :usa: -
"Johnny Knoxville". It was bound to happen. LOL. :pleased: Welcome aboard Sir. I second ORSA as a fine place to shoot...and TGO as an excellent forum with plenty of helpful folks, and a wealth of knowledge. ORSA Link: http://orsaonline.org/

Tennessee Senators vote FOR Cloture on Gun Bill
Jamie Jackson replied to Worriedman's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
No Doubt you right OS. But repeating the same behavior (voting for someone just because they have an "R" after their name) and expecting a different outcome ain't working out too well for us. And Yes...it's obviously those with enough capital backing that have always won...but we still have to at least try and break the pattern. It's frustrating always, today...pretty infuriating. :2cents: -
Thank you Sir. It's kinda like buying a lottery ticket...only better!

Brownells shipping B/O'd AR-15 Magpuls
Jamie Jackson replied to cannoncocker's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Very true OS. I am in hopes that the fact there will be no ban will have a positive psychological impact of the general shooting public and ease the panic buying tension a bit. Will that become a reality? The pessimist in me (maybe the realistic) doubts it. But one can hope... -
I have a variety of AR mags...lots of the older aluminum GI mags, some 18 year old Thermolds, P Mags, and Brownells in house version mags. They all work each and every time, and some have seen some serious use and abuse. My criteria is simple...they gotta work or they are trash... My current preference is P Mag (quality product and I appreciate their integrity :usa: ) and Brownell's in house 20 round mags (they work and I simply have an affinity for 20 rounders).

Brownells shipping B/O'd AR-15 Magpuls
Jamie Jackson replied to cannoncocker's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
While not Magpul, I just received notice from Brownell's that they're shipping my backordered Brownell's 20 rd AR mags (bulk pack of 10) and my backordered G 17 mags (bulk pack of 3). Great pricing (pre-madness)... but heck, I have several items backordered from several sites... I had forgotten about these... :pleased: So, if they are shipping these, hopefully it indicates the supply lines are improving. -
Picked up some 12 gauge
Jamie Jackson replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Thanks Dolomite, that's good to know. orientalexpress, I guess it depends on your location. My local WM is Turkey Creek in Knoxville. They rarely have 12g field loads. They occasionally have 20g...but 12g is pretty scarce there. -
I may be wrong, but I think they only list what they have in stock. Eventually....maybe... :squint:

Where to order .22LR online, for future reference?
Jamie Jackson replied to graycrait's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Way back in normal times...of only a few months ago... I ordered the majority of my ammo and reloading supplies fron Graf's. Great company with excellent customer service. I've also ordered from Midway for a very long time. But Who knows what the "new norm" will look like? :2cents: -
Made some 10/22 or speedloader pouches.
Jamie Jackson replied to gjohnsoniv's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Very nice work and craftsmanship George! Thank you for sharing the photo with us. I would think a BX-25 holder would be pretty cool as well. -
Where do you buy your reloading supplies?
Jamie Jackson replied to enfield's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
See what happens when people make assumptions! LOL. Thanks sirdanny. Much obliged. Link is now bookmarked and verified. -
Where do you buy your reloading supplies?
Jamie Jackson replied to enfield's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I'm lucky to have a decent job these days wOlfattack. :pleased: I believe at one time, fairly recently, David and Sam had a website listed here. I had bookmarked it, but the link went dead. I have to assume they closed their site. I know they are hard working folks and I appreciate what they do for our community. -
Our thoughts and Prayers for a full and speedy recovery. Prayers are also out for the family. God Bless.

Where do you buy your reloading supplies?
Jamie Jackson replied to enfield's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I have absolutely no doubt you are correct, and I look forward to meeting David and doing business with him. I definitely wish to support our members and keep my business dealings as local as possible. My circumstances have me working every other weekend....Fri-Sat-Sun 12 hour shifts. It seems that I work each weekend David is at one of the gunshows in East TN. My circumstances aren't likely to change (I gotta work  ), but I hope that my weekends may coincide with David's being in the region. I have a feeling I'm not the only person in that situation. David's reputation for fairness and honesty is second to none. But I need to keep reloading and shooting until that opportunity presents itself. So I'm thankful there are alternatives available and that members post the info here. :2cents: -
Lights Out by David Crawford
Jamie Jackson replied to Jamie Jackson's topic in Survival and Preparedness
Suspension of disbelief my Friend. It should be entertaining. :pleased: -
Anybody a fan of Lights Out by David Crawford? I heard about this today on Spirko’s “Survival Podcastâ€. Lights Out Saga website Heroes Will Rise While I found “One Second After†top tier, I thoroughly enjoyed “Lights Outâ€. I definitely hope this comes to fruition. It’s my understanding that the movie will be in 2 segments, possibly 3. I believe there is definitely an audience for this. Time will tell. :pleased:
