I had a 509 that I didn't shoot well at all. I have an FNX-9 that I like and find really interesting...it has a safety-lever that you move one way to use as a safety, and the other way to use as a decocker. I also have a bunch of Hi Powers that I've done different things with.

Welcome to this forum! I used to live in Dover and was a member at Major Waldron. Stupidly, I never got down to the Sig Academy even though I was in Exeter fairly often. My most recent buy was a CZ P-10s, which I like quite a lot. I loved NH! I live closer to Chattanooga, so the places I go to wouldn't help you much...and they don't host 3-gun. Actually, Montlake Sportman's Club has IDPA, USPSA and Rimfire Challenge near Chat.

I’m sorry I’m coming late to this discussion. i have two P99s and I really like them. It seems a very innovative design, a striker gun that is DA/SA. The decocker is very interesting, and I find the trigger pretty good. For me, it would come to price, and what you’re willing to pay for an innovative, very good German made gun.

I think I have very much the same gun. My serial # starts with an “L”. I put Novak sights on and it looks like the same Cylinder & Slide safety.

I got one of the newer ones. It shoots ok, at the range, but is ridiculously hard to take apart to clean. i am still interested in getting one of the classics.

Hi folks! I’m about to be offered a job in the south east part of the state. I’m originally a Marylander, and currently live in central New York. I’m looking forward to living in a state were liberty is important again. I lived in New Hampshire for four years, and that was awesome! The laws up here are more stupid than you can imagine, but there are a lot of good people here. It will be good to meet some other good people when I get down there. :-)
